And he that is to be
cleansed shall wash his clothes, and
shave off all his hair, and wash
himself in water, that he may be clean: and after that he shall come into the camp, and shall
tarry abroad out of his tent seven days.
The one being
cleansed must wash his clothes,
shave off all his hair, and
bathe with water; then he will be
ceremonially clean. Afterward, he may enter the camp, but he must remain outside his tent for seven days.
But it shall be on the seventh day, that he shall
shave all his hair off his head and his
beard and his eyebrows, even all his hair he shall
shave off: and he shall wash his clothes, also he shall wash his flesh in water, and he shall be clean.
On the seventh day he must
shave off all his hair—his head, his
beard, his eyebrows, and the rest of his hair. He must wash his clothes and
bathe himself with water, and he will be clean.
And the priest that maketh him clean shall present the man that is to be made clean, and those things, before the LORD, at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation:
The priest who performs the
cleansing shall present the one to be
cleansed, together with these offerings, before the LORD at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting.
And the priest shall take one he lamb, and offer
him for a
trespass offering, and the log of oil, and wave them for a wave offering before the LORD:
Then the priest is to take one of the male lambs and present it as a guilt offering, along with the log of olive oil; and he must wave them as a wave offering before the LORD.
And the priest shall take some of the blood of the
trespass offering, and the priest shall put it upon the
tip of the right ear of
him that is to be
cleansed, and upon the
thumb of his right hand, and upon the great
toe of his right foot:
The priest is to take some of the blood from the guilt offering and put it on the right earlobe of the one to be
cleansed, on the
thumb of his right hand, and on the
big toe of his right foot.
And of the rest of the oil that is in his hand shall the priest put upon the
tip of the right ear of
him that is to be
cleansed, and upon the
thumb of his right hand, and upon the great
toe of his right foot, upon the blood of the
trespass offering:
And the priest is to put some of the oil remaining in his palm on the right earlobe of the one to be
cleansed, on the
thumb of his right hand, and on the
big toe of his right foot, on top of the blood of the guilt offering.
And the
remnant of the oil that is in the priest’s hand he shall pour upon the head of
him that is to be
cleansed: and the priest shall make an
atonement for
him before the LORD.
The rest of the oil in his palm, the priest is to put on the head of the one to be
cleansed, to make
atonement for
him before the LORD.
And the priest shall offer the sin offering, and make an
atonement for
him that is to be
cleansed from his uncleanness; and afterward he shall kill the burnt offering:
Then the priest is to sacrifice the sin offering and make
atonement for the one to be
cleansed from his uncleanness. After that, the priest shall slaughter the burnt offering
And the priest shall offer the burnt offering and the meat offering upon the altar: and the priest shall make an
atonement for
him, and he shall be clean.
and offer it on the altar, with the grain offering, to make
atonement for
him, and he will be clean.
And if he be poor, and cannot get so much; then he shall take one lamb for a
trespass offering to be waved, to make an
atonement for
him, and one tenth deal of fine flour mingled with oil for a meat offering, and a log of oil;
If, however, the person is poor and cannot afford these offerings, he is to take one male lamb as a guilt offering to be waved to make
atonement for
him, along with a tenth of an
ephah of fine flour mixed with olive oil for a grain offering, a log of olive oil,
And he shall kill the lamb of the
trespass offering, and the priest shall take some of the blood of the
trespass offering, and put it upon the
tip of the right ear of
him that is to be
cleansed, and upon the
thumb of his right hand, and upon the great
toe of his right foot:
And after he slaughters the lamb for the guilt offering, the priest is to take some of the blood of the guilt offering and put it on the right earlobe of the one to be
cleansed, on the
thumb of his right hand, and on the
big toe of his right foot.
And the priest shall put of the oil that is in his hand upon the
tip of the right ear of
him that is to be
cleansed, and upon the
thumb of his right hand, and upon the great
toe of his right foot, upon the place of the blood of the
trespass offering:
The priest shall also put some of the oil in his palm on the right earlobe of the one to be
cleansed, on the
thumb of his right hand, and on the
big toe of his right foot—on the same places as the blood of the guilt offering.
And the rest of the oil that is in the priest’s hand he shall put upon the head of
him that is to be
cleansed, to make an
atonement for
him before the LORD.
The rest of the oil in his palm, the priest is to put on the head of the one to be
cleansed, to make
atonement for
him before the LORD.
Even such as he is able to get, the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering, with the meat offering: and the priest shall make an
atonement for
him that is to be
cleansed before the LORD.

atonement before the LORD for the one to be
cleansed.
This is the law of
him in whom is the plague of
leprosy, whose hand is not able to get that which pertaineth to his
cleansing.
This is the law for someone who has a skin disease and cannot afford the cost of his
cleansing.”

And the priest shall offer them, the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering; and the priest shall make an
atonement for
him before the LORD for his issue.
The priest is to sacrifice them, one as a sin offering and the other as a burnt offering. In this way the priest will make
atonement for the man before the LORD because of his discharge.

him, and is
defiled therewith;
This is the law of

He shall put on the holy linen coat, and he shall have the linen
breeches upon his flesh, and shall be
girded with a linen
girdle, and with the linen
mitre shall he be
attired: these are holy garments; therefore shall he wash his flesh in water, and so put them on.
He is to wear the sacred linen
tunic, with linen undergarments. He must
tie a linen
sash around
him and put on the linen
turban. These are holy garments, and he must
bathe himself with water before he wears them.
And Aaron shall offer his
bullock of the sin offering, which is for
himself, and make an
atonement for
himself, and for his house.
Aaron is to present the bull for his sin offering and make
atonement for
himself and his household.
And Aaron shall bring the goat upon which the LORD’S lot fell, and offer him for a sin offering.
he shall present the goat chosen by lot for the LORD and sacrifice it as a sin offering.
But the goat, on which the lot fell to be the
scapegoat, shall be presented alive before the LORD, to make an
atonement with
him, and to let
him go for a
scapegoat into the wilderness.
But the goat chosen by lot as the
scapegoat shall be presented alive before the LORD to make
atonement by sending it into the wilderness as the
scapegoat.
And Aaron shall bring the
bullock of the sin offering, which is for
himself, and shall make an
atonement for
himself, and for his house, and shall kill the
bullock of the sin offering which is for
himself:
When Aaron presents the bull for his sin offering and makes
atonement for
himself and his household, he is to slaughter the bull for his own sin offering.
And there shall be no man in the tabernacle of the congregation when he goeth in to make an
atonement in the holy place, until he come out, and have made an
atonement for
himself, and for his household, and for all the congregation of Israel.
No one may be in the Tent of Meeting from the time Aaron goes in to make
atonement in the Most Holy Place until he leaves, after he has made
atonement for
himself, his household, and the whole assembly of Israel.
And Aaron shall lay both his hands upon the head of the live goat, and
confess over
him all the
iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their transgressions in all their sins, putting them upon the head of the goat, and shall send
him away by the hand of a fit man into the wilderness:
Then he is to lay both hands on the head of the live goat and
confess over it all the
iniquities and
rebellious acts of the Israelites in regard to all their sins. He is to put them on the goat’s head and send it away into the wilderness by the hand of a man appointed for the task.
And the goat shall bear upon
him all their
iniquities unto a land not inhabited: and he shall let go the goat in the wilderness.
The goat will carry on itself all their
iniquities into a solitary place, and the man will release it into the wilderness.
And he shall wash his flesh with water in the holy place, and put on his garments, and come forth, and offer his burnt offering, and the burnt offering of the people, and make an
atonement for
himself, and for the people.
He is to
bathe himself with water in a holy place and put on his own clothes. Then he must go out and sacrifice his burnt offering and the people’s burnt offering to make
atonement for
himself and for the people.
And he that let go the goat for the
scapegoat shall wash his clothes, and
bathe his flesh in water, and afterward come into the camp.
The man who released the goat as the
scapegoat must wash his clothes and
bathe himself with water; afterward he may reenter the camp.

bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he shall come into the camp.

bathe himself with water, and afterward he may reenter the camp.
And
whatsoever man there be of the house of Israel, or of the strangers that
sojourn among you, that eateth any manner of blood; I will even set my face against that soul that eateth blood, and will cut
him off from among his people.
If
anyone from the house of Israel or a foreigner living among them eats any blood, I will set My face against that person and cut
him off from among his people.
And every soul that eateth that which died of itself, or that which was
torn with beasts, whether it be one of your own country, or a stranger, he shall both wash his clothes, and
bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even: then shall he be clean.
And any person, whether native or foreigner, who eats anything found dead or
mauled by wild beasts must wash his clothes and
bathe with water, and he will be unclean until evening; then he will be clean.
But if he wash them not, nor
bathe his flesh; then he shall bear his iniquity.
But if he does not wash his clothes and
bathe himself, then he shall bear his iniquity.”
None of you shall approach to any that is near of
kin to
him, to uncover their nakedness: I am the LORD.
None of you are to approach any close relative to have sexual relations. I am the LORD.
Thou shalt not
defraud thy neighbour, neither
rob him: the wages of
him that is
hired shall not
abide with thee all night until the morning.
Thou shalt not
hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise
rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon
him.
You must not
harbor hatred against your brother in your heart. Directly
rebuke your
neighbor, so that you will not
incur guilt on account of
him.
And the priest shall make an
atonement for
him with the ram of the
trespass offering before the LORD for his sin which he hath done: and the sin which he hath done shall be
forgiven him.
The priest shall make
atonement on his behalf before the LORD with the ram of the guilt offering for the sin he has committed, and he will be
forgiven the sin he has committed.
And if a stranger
sojourn with thee in your land, ye shall not
vex him.
When a foreigner resides with you in your land, you must not
oppress him.
But the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love
him as
thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.
You must treat the foreigner living among you as native-born and love
him as
yourself, for you were foreigners in the land of Egypt. I am the LORD your God.
Again, thou shalt say to the children of Israel,
Whosoever he be of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that
sojourn in Israel, that giveth any of his seed unto
Molech; he shall surely be put to death: the people of the land shall stone
him with stones.
“Tell the Israelites, ‘Any
Israelite or foreigner living in Israel who gives any of his children to
Molech must be put to death. The people of the land are to stone
him.
And I will set my face against that man, and will cut
him off from among his people; because he hath given of his seed unto
Molech, to
defile my sanctuary, and to
profane my holy name.
And I will set My face against that man and cut
him off from his people, because by giving his offspring to
Molech, he has
defiled My sanctuary and
profaned My holy name.
And if the people of the land do any ways hide their eyes from the man, when he giveth of his seed unto
Molech, and kill
him not:
And if the people of the land ever hide their eyes and fail to put to death the man who gives one of his children to
Molech,
Then I will set my face against that man, and against his family, and will cut
him off, and all that go a
whoring after
him, to commit
whoredom with
Molech, from among their people.
then I will set My face against that man and his family and cut off from among their people both
him and all who follow
him in
prostituting themselves with
Molech.
And the soul that turneth after such as have familiar spirits, and after wizards, to go a
whoring after them, I will even set my face against that soul, and will cut
him off from among his people.
Whoever turns to mediums or spiritists to
prostitute himself with them, I will also set My face against that person and cut
him off from his people.
For every one that curseth his father or his mother shall be surely put to death: he hath
cursed his father or his mother; his blood shall be upon
him.
If
anyone curses his father or mother, he must be put to death. He has
cursed his father or mother; his blood shall be upon
him.
And the LORD said unto Moses, Speak unto the priests the sons of Aaron, and say unto them, There shall none be
defiled for the dead among his people:
Then the LORD said to Moses, “Speak to Aaron’s sons, the priests, and tell them that a priest is not to
defile himself for a dead person among his people,
But for his
kin, that is near unto
him, that is, for his mother, and for his father, and for his son, and for his daughter, and for his brother,
except for his immediate family—his mother, father, son, daughter, or brother,
And for his sister a virgin, that is
nigh unto
him, which hath had no husband; for her may he be
defiled.
or his unmarried sister who is near to him, since she has no husband.
But he shall not
defile himself, being a chief man among his people, to
profane himself.
He is not to
defile himself for those related to
him by marriage, and so
profane himself.
Thou shalt
sanctify him therefore; for he offereth the bread of thy God: he shall be holy unto thee: for I the LORD, which
sanctify you, am holy.
You are to regard him as holy, since he presents the food of your God. He shall be holy to you, because I the LORD am holy—I who set you apart.
Neither shall he go in to any dead body, nor
defile himself for his father, or for his mother;
He must not go near any dead body; he must not
defile himself, even for his father or mother.
Neither shall he go out of the sanctuary, nor
profane the sanctuary of his God; for the crown of the
anointing oil of his God is upon
him: I am the LORD.
Neither shall he
profane his seed among his people: for I the LORD do
sanctify him.
so that he does not
defile his offspring among his people, for I am the LORD who sanctifies
him.”
Speak unto Aaron, saying,
Whosoever he be of thy seed in their generations that hath any
blemish, let
him not approach to offer the bread of his God.
“Say to Aaron, ‘For the generations to come, none of your descendants who has a physical defect may approach to offer the food of his God.
Say unto them,
Whosoever he be of all your seed among your generations, that goeth unto the holy things, which the children of Israel
hallow unto the LORD, having his uncleanness upon
him, that soul shall be cut off from my presence: I am the LORD.
Tell them that for the generations to come, if any of their descendants in a state of uncleanness approaches the sacred offerings that the Israelites
consecrate to the LORD, that person must be cut off from My presence. I am the LORD.
What man
soever of the seed of Aaron is a
leper, or hath a running issue; he shall not eat of the holy things, until he be clean. And
whoso toucheth any thing that is unclean by the dead, or a man whose seed goeth from
him;
Or
whosoever toucheth any
creeping thing, whereby he may be made unclean, or a man of whom he may take uncleanness,
whatsoever uncleanness he hath;
or
whoever touches a
crawling creature or a person that makes
him unclean, whatever the uncleanness may be—
The soul which hath touched any such shall be unclean until even, and shall not eat of the holy things, unless he wash his flesh with water.
the man who touches any of these will remain unclean until evening. He must not eat from the sacred offerings unless he has bathed himself with water.
That which dieth of itself, or is
torn with beasts, he shall not eat to
defile himself therewith: I am the LORD.
He must not eat anything found dead or
torn by wild animals, which would make
him unclean. I am the LORD.
For
whatsoever soul it be that shall not be
afflicted in that same day, he shall be cut off from among his people.
If
anyone does not humble
himself on this day, he must be cut off from his people.
And it shall be Aaron’s and his sons’; and they shall eat it in the holy place: for it is most holy unto him of the offerings of the LORD made by fire by a perpetual statute.
It belongs to Aaron and his sons, who are to eat it in a holy place; for it is to
him a most holy part of the offerings made by fire to the LORD—his portion
forever.”
And the son of an
Israelitish woman, whose father was an Egyptian, went out among the children of Israel: and this son of the
Israelitish woman and a man of Israel
strove together in the camp;
Now the son of an
Israelite mother and an Egyptian father went out among the Israelites, and a fight broke out in the camp between
him and an
Israelite.
And the
Israelitish woman’s son
blasphemed the name of the LORD, and
cursed. And they brought
him unto Moses: (and his mother’s name was Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of
Dan:)
The son of the
Israelite woman
blasphemed the Name with a
curse. So they brought
him to Moses. (His mother’s name was Shelomith daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of
Dan.)
And they put him in ward, that the mind of the LORD might be shewed them.
They placed
him in
custody until the will of the LORD should be made clear to them.
Bring forth
him that hath
cursed without the camp; and let all that heard
him lay their hands upon his head, and let all the congregation stone
him.
“Take the
blasphemer outside the camp, and have all who heard
him lay their hands on his head; then have the whole assembly stone
him.
And he that blasphemeth the name of the LORD, he shall surely be put to death, and all the congregation shall certainly stone him: as well the stranger, as he that is born in the land, when he blasphemeth the name of the LORD, shall be put to death.
Whoever blasphemes the name of the LORD must surely be put to death; the whole assembly must surely stone
him, whether he is a foreign resident or native; if he blasphemes the Name, he must be put to death.
And if a man cause a
blemish in his neighbour; as he hath done, so shall it be done to
him;
If
anyone injures his
neighbor, whatever he has done must be done to
him:
Breach for breach, eye for eye, tooth for tooth: as he hath caused a
blemish in a man, so shall it be done to
him again.
fracture for fracture, eye for eye, tooth for tooth. Just as he injured the other person, the same must be inflicted on him.
And Moses spake to the children of Israel, that they should bring forth
him that had
cursed out of the camp, and stone
him with stones. And the children of Israel did as the LORD commanded Moses.
Then Moses spoke to the Israelites, and they took the
blasphemer outside the camp and stoned
him. So the Israelites did as the LORD had commanded Moses.
And if thou sell ought unto thy neighbour, or buyest ought of thy neighbour’s hand, ye shall not
oppress one another:
If you make a sale to your
neighbor or a purchase from
him, you must not take advantage of each other.
And if the man have none to
redeem it, and
himself be able to
redeem it;
Or if a man has no one to
redeem it for
him, but he prospers and acquires enough to
redeem his land,
Then let
him count the years of the sale thereof, and restore the
overplus unto the man to whom he sold it; that he may return unto his possession.
he shall
calculate the years since its sale, repay the balance to the man to whom he sold it, and return to his property.
But if he be not able to restore it to him, then that which is sold shall remain in the hand of him that hath bought it until the year of jubile: and in the jubile it shall go out, and he shall return unto his possession.
But if he cannot obtain enough to repay
him, what he sold will remain in possession of the
buyer until the Year of
Jubilee. In the
Jubilee, however, it is to be released, so that he may return to his property.
And if it be not redeemed within the space of a full year, then the house that is in the walled city shall be established for ever to him that bought it throughout his generations: it shall not go out in the jubile.
If it is not redeemed by the end of a full year, then the house in the walled city is permanently transferred to its
buyer and his descendants. It is not to be released in the
Jubilee.
And if thy brother be
waxen poor, and fallen in decay with thee; then thou shalt
relieve him:
yea, though he be a stranger, or a
sojourner; that he may live with thee.
Now if your
countryman becomes destitute and cannot support
himself among you, then you are to help
him as you would a foreigner or stranger, so that he can continue to live among you.
Take thou no
usury of
him, or increase: but fear thy God; that thy brother may live with thee.
Do not take any interest or profit from
him, but fear your God, that your
countryman may live among you.
Thou shalt not give
him thy money upon
usury, nor
lend him thy
victuals for increase.
You must not
lend him your silver at interest or sell
him your food for profit.
And if thy brother that dwelleth by thee be
waxen poor, and be sold unto thee; thou shalt not
compel him to serve as a
bondservant:
If a
countryman among you becomes destitute and sells
himself to you, then you must not force
him into slave labor.
But as an
hired servant, and as a
sojourner, he shall be with thee, and shall serve thee unto the year of jubile:
Let
him stay with you as a
hired worker or temporary resident; he is to work for you until the Year of
Jubilee.
And then shall he depart from thee, both he and his children with him, and shall return unto his own family, and unto the possession of his fathers shall he return.
Then he and his children are to be released, and he may return to his clan and to the property of his fathers.
Thou shalt not rule over him with rigour; but shalt fear thy God.
You are not to rule over them harshly, but you shall fear your God.
And if a
sojourner or stranger wax rich by thee, and thy brother that dwelleth by
him wax poor, and sell
himself unto the stranger or
sojourner by thee, or to the stock of the stranger’s family:
If a foreigner residing among you prospers, but your
countryman dwelling near
him becomes destitute and sells
himself to the foreigner or to a member of his clan,
After that he is sold he may be redeemed again; one of his brethren may
redeem him:
he retains the right of
redemption after he has sold
himself. One of his brothers may
redeem him:
Either his uncle, or his uncle’s son, may
redeem him, or any that is
nigh of
kin unto
him of his family may
redeem him; or if he be able, he may
redeem himself.
either his uncle or cousin or any close relative from his clan may
redeem him. Or if he prospers, he may
redeem himself.
And he shall
reckon with
him that bought
him from the year that he was sold to
him unto the year of jubile: and the price of his sale shall be according unto the number of years, according to the time of an
hired servant shall it be with
him.
He and his purchaser will then count the time from the year he sold
himself up to the Year of
Jubilee. The price of his sale will be determined by the number of years, based on the daily wages of a
hired hand.
And if there remain but few years unto the year of jubile, then he shall count with
him, and according unto his years shall he give
him again the price of his
redemption.
And as a yearly
hired servant shall he be with
him: and the other shall not rule with rigour over
him in thy sight.
He shall be treated like a man
hired from year to year, but a foreign owner must not rule over
him harshly in your sight.
And if he be not redeemed in these years, then he shall go out in the year of jubile, both he, and his children with him.
Even if he is not redeemed in any of these ways, he and his children shall be released in the Year of
Jubilee.
