push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a
whirlwind, with
chariots, and with
horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over.

engage him in battle, but the king of the North will storm out against him with
chariots,
horsemen, and many ships,
invading many countries and
sweeping through them like a flood.

horses and cavalry, but by the LORD their God.”
Blow the ram’s
horn in Gibeah, the
trumpet in
Ramah; raise the battle cry in Beth-
aven: Lead on, O Benjamin!
Set the
trumpet to thy mouth. He shall come as an eagle against the house of the LORD, because they have
transgressed my covenant, and
trespassed against my law.

horn to your lips! An eagle looms over the house of the LORD, because the people have
transgressed My covenant and rebelled against My law.

ride upon
horses: neither will we say any more to the work of our hands, Ye are our gods: for in thee the fatherless findeth mercy.

devour the palaces of Kirioth: and Moab shall die with
tumult, with
shouting, and with the sound of the

I have sent among you the
pestilence after the manner of Egypt: your young men have I slain with the sword, and have taken away your
horses; and I have made the
stink of your camps to come up unto your nostrils: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.

horses. I filled your nostrils with the
stench of your camp, yet you did not return to Me,” declares the LORD.

horses run upon the rock? will one

wormwood—

horns by our own strength?

thresh, O daughter of
Zion: for I will make thine
horn iron, and I will make thy
hoofs brass: and thou shalt beat in pieces many people: and I will
consecrate their gain unto the LORD, and their substance unto the Lord of the whole earth.
Rise and
thresh, O Daughter of
Zion, for I will give you
horns of iron and
hooves of bronze to break to pieces many peoples. Then you will
devote their gain to the LORD, their wealth to the Lord of all the earth.

horseman lifteth up both the bright sword and the
glittering spear: and there is a multitude of slain, and a great number of carcases; and there is none end of their corpses; they
stumble upon their corpses:
Their
horses also are swifter than the leopards, and are more fierce than the evening
wolves: and their
horsemen shall spread themselves, and their
horsemen shall come from far; they shall fly as the eagle that hasteth to eat.

Was the LORD displeased against the rivers? was thine anger against the rivers? was thy wrath against the sea, that thou
didst ride upon thine
horses and thy
chariots of salvation?
Were You
angry at the rivers, O LORD? Was Your wrath against the streams? Did You
rage against the sea when You
rode on Your
horses, on Your
chariots of salvation?

didst walk through the sea with thine
horses, through the

I saw by night, and behold a man riding upon a red
horse, and he stood among the
myrtle trees that were in the bottom; and behind him were there red
horses,
speckled, and white.

horse. He was standing among the
myrtle trees in the hollow, and behind him were red,
sorrel, and white
horses.

So I asked the angel who was speaking with me, “What are these?” And he told me, “These are the horns that have scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem.”
Then said I, What come these to do? And he spake, saying, These are the
horns which have scattered Judah, so that no man did lift up his head: but these are come to
fray them, to cast out the
horns of the Gentiles, which lifted up their
horn over the land of Judah to
scatter it.
“What are these coming to do?” I asked. And He replied, “These are the
horns that scattered Judah so that no one could raise his head; but the
craftsmen have come to
terrify them and throw down these
horns of the nations that have lifted up their
horns against the land of Judah to
scatter it.”
In the first
chariot were red
horses; and in the second
chariot black
horses;
The first
chariot had red
horses, the second black
horses,
the third white
horses, and the fourth
dappled horses—all of them strong.
The black
horses which are therein go forth into the north country; and the white go forth after them; and the
grisled go forth toward the south country.
The one with the black
horses is going toward the land of the north, the one with the white
horses toward the west, and the one with the
dappled horses toward the south.”

patrol the earth.” So they
patrolled the earth.

chariot from Ephraim, and the
horse from Jerusalem, and the battle bow shall be cut off: and he shall speak peace unto the heathen: and his dominion shall be from sea even to sea, and from river even to the ends of the earth.

chariot from Ephraim and the
horse from Jerusalem, and the bow of war will be broken. Then He will
proclaim peace to the nations. His dominion will extend from sea to sea, and from the Euphrates to the ends of the earth.
And the LORD shall be seen over them, and his
arrow shall go forth as the

Then the LORD will appear over them, and His
arrow will go forth like
lightning. The Lord GOD will sound the ram’s
horn and advance in the whirlwinds of the south.
Mine anger was
kindled against the
shepherds, and I punished the goats: for the LORD of hosts hath visited his flock the house of Judah, and hath made them as his goodly
horse in the battle.
“My anger burns against the
shepherds, and I will
punish the leaders. For the LORD of Hosts attends to His flock, the house of Judah; He will make them like His royal
steed in battle.
And they shall be as mighty men, which
tread down their enemies in the
mire of the streets in the battle: and they shall fight, because the LORD is with them, and the riders on
horses shall be confounded.
They will be like mighty men in battle,
trampling the enemy in the
mire of the streets. They will fight because the LORD is with them, and they will put the
horsemen to shame.
In that day, saith the LORD, I will
smite every
horse with
astonishment, and his rider with madness: and I will open mine eyes upon the house of Judah, and will
smite every
horse of the people with blindness.
On that day, declares the LORD, I will strike every
horse with
panic, and every rider with madness. I will keep a watchful eye on the house of Judah, but I will strike with blindness all the
horses of the nations.
And so shall be the plague of the
horse, of the
mule, of the
camel, and of the
ass, and of all the beasts that shall be in these tents, as this plague.

horses and mules, camels and
donkeys, and all the animals in those camps.
In that day shall there be upon the bells of the
horses,

horses, and the
cooking pots in the house of the LORD will be like the
sprinkling bowls before the altar.

horsemen threescore and ten, and
spearmen two hundred, at the third hour of the night;

horsemen, and two hundred
spearmen to go to Caesarea in the third hour of the night.

And I
beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven
horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.
Then I saw a Lamb who appeared to have been slain, standing in the center of the throne,
encircled by the four living creatures and the elders. The Lamb had seven
horns and seven eyes, which represent the seven Spirits of God sent out into all the earth.
And I saw, and behold a white
horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth
conquering, and to
conquer.

horse, and its rider held a bow. And he was given a crown, and he
rode out to overcome and
conquer.
And there went out another
horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat
thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.
Then another
horse went forth. It was bright red, and its rider was granted permission to take away peace from the earth and to make men
slay one another. And he was given a great sword.

roar of many
horses and
chariots rushing into battle.

horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them.
And the number of mounted troops was two hundred million; I heard their number.
And thus I saw the
horses in the vision, and them that sat on them, having breastplates of fire, and of
jacinth, and
brimstone: and the heads of the
horses were as the heads of lions; and out of their mouths issued fire and smoke and
brimstone.
Now the
horses and riders in my vision looked like this: The riders had breastplates the colors of fire,
sapphire, and sulfur. The heads of the
horses were like the heads of lions, and out of their mouths proceeded fire, smoke, and sulfur.
For their power is in their mouth, and in their tails: for their tails were like unto serpents, and had heads, and with them they do
hurt.
For the power of the
horses was in their mouths and in their tails; indeed, their tails were like snakes, having heads with which to
inflict harm.
And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red
dragon, having seven heads and ten
horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.

horns, and seven royal crowns on his heads.

horns, and upon his

horns and seven heads rising out of the sea. There were ten royal crowns on its
horns and
blasphemous names on its heads.
And I
beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two
horns like a lamb, and he spake as a
dragon.
Then I saw another beast rising out of the earth. This beast had two
horns like a lamb, but spoke like a
dragon.
And the winepress was
trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the
horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs.

trodden outside the city, and the blood that flowed from it rose as high as the bridles of the
horses for a distance of 1,600
stadia.
And there fell upon men a great
hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men
blasphemed God because of the plague of the
hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.
And great hailstones weighing almost a hundred pounds each rained down on them from above. And men
cursed God for the plague of
hail, because it was so
horrendous.
So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of
blasphemy, having seven heads and ten
horns.
And the angel carried me away in the Spirit into a wilderness, where I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast that was covered with
blasphemous names and had seven heads and ten
horns.
And the angel said unto me, Wherefore
didst thou
marvel? I will tell thee the
mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten
horns.
“Why are you so
amazed?” said the angel. “I will tell you the
mystery of the woman and of the beast that carries her, which has the seven heads and ten
horns.
And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.
The ten horns you saw are ten kings who have not yet received a kingdom, but will receive one hour of authority as kings, along with the beast.
And the ten
horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall
hate the
whore, and shall make her
desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.
And the ten
horns and the beast that you saw will
hate the
prostitute. They will leave her
desolate and naked, and will eat her flesh and burn her with fire.
And
cinnamon, and odours, and ointments, and
frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and beasts, and sheep, and
horses, and
chariots, and slaves, and souls of men.

cinnamon,
spice, incense,
myrrh, and
frankincense; of wine, olive oil, fine flour, and wheat; of cattle, sheep,
horses, and
chariots; of slaves and souls of men.
And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white
horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he
doth judge and make war.
Then I saw heaven standing open, and there before me was a white horse. And its rider is called Faithful and True. With righteousness He judges and wages war.
And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
The armies of heaven, dressed in fine linen, white and pure, follow Him on white horses.
That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.
so that you may eat the flesh of kings and commanders and mighty men, of
horses and riders, of
everyone slave and free, small and great.”
And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.
Then I saw the beast and the kings of the earth with their armies assembled to
wage war against the One seated on the
horse, and against His army.
And the
remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the
horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.
And the rest were killed with the sword that proceeded from the mouth of the One seated on the
horse. And all the birds
gorged themselves on their flesh.

horses, and with cattle, and other things, which have been set forth by
vow, for the temple of the Lord at Jerusalem.

horses and cattle, and with very many free gifts of a great number whose minds were
stirred up
thereto.
Then king Artexerxes his letters being read, Rathumus, and Semellius the
scribe, and the rest that were in commission with them, removing in
haste toward Jerusalem with a
troop of
horsemen and a multitude of people in battle
array, began to hinder the builders; and the building of the temple in Jerusalem ceased until the second year of the reign of
Darius king of the Persians.
And
Darius sent with them a thousand
horsemen, till they had brought them back to Jerusalem safely, and with musical instruments tabrets and flutes.
Four hundred thirty and five camels, seven thousand thirty and six horses, two hundred forty and five mules, five thousand five hundred twenty and five beasts used to the yoke.
And therefore appear no more, thou eagle, nor thy
horrible wings, nor thy wicked feathers nor thy
malicious heads, nor thy
hurtful claws, nor all thy vain body:
Behold an
horrible vision, and the appearance thereof from the east:
Behold clouds from the east and from the north unto the south, and they are very
horrible to look upon, full of wrath and storm.
The great and mighty clouds shall be
puffed up full of wrath, and the star, that they may make all the earth afraid, and them that dwell therein; and they shall pour out over every high and eminent place an
horrible star,
Then he marched in battle
array with his power against king Arphaxad in the
seventeenth year, and he prevailed in his battle: for he overthrew all the power of Arphaxad, and all his
horsemen, and all his
chariots,
Thus saith the great king, the lord of the whole earth, Behold, thou shalt go forth from my presence, and take with thee men that trust in their own strength, of
footmen an hundred and twenty thousand; and the number of
horses with their riders twelve thousand.
And he
mustered the chosen men for the battle, as his lord had commanded him, unto an hundred and twenty thousand, and twelve thousand archers on
horseback;
Then he went forth and all his power to go before king Nabuchodonosor in the voyage, and to cover all the face of the earth westward with their
chariots, and
horsemen, and their chosen
footmen.
He will send his power, and will destroy them from the face of the earth, and their God shall not deliver them: but we his servants will destroy them as one man; for they are not able to
sustain the power of our
horses.
Then their strong men removed their camps in that day, and the army of the men of war was an hundred and seventy thousand
footmen, and twelve thousand
horsemen, beside the
baggage, and other men that were
afoot among them, a very great multitude.
But in the second day Holofernes brought forth all his
horsemen in the sight of the children of Israel which were in Bethulia,
Thus all the company of Assur remained about them, both their
footmen,
chariots, and
horsemen, four and thirty days, so that all their vessels of water failed all the inhibitants of Bethulia.
For, behold, the Assyrians are multiplied in their power; they are
exalted with
horse and man; they glory in the strength of their
footmen; they trust in shield, and
spear, and bow, and
sling; and know not that thou art the Lord that breakest the battles: the Lord is thy name.
