When I have brought them again from the people, and gathered them out of their enemies’ lands, and am
sanctified in them in the sight of
many nations;
When I bring them back from the peoples and gather them out of the lands of their enemies, I will show My
holiness in them in the sight of
many nations.
And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east: and his voice was like a noise of
many waters: and the earth
shined with his glory.
and I saw the glory of the God of Israel coming from the east. His voice was like the
roar of
many waters, and the earth
shone with His glory.
Now when I had returned, behold, at the bank of the river were very many trees on the one side and on the other.
When I arrived, I saw a great number of trees along both banks of the river.
And it shall come to pass, that the fishers shall stand upon it from En-gedi even unto En-eglaim; they shall be a place to spread forth nets; their fish shall be according to their kinds, as the fish of the great sea, exceeding many.
Fishermen will stand by the shore; from En-gedi to En-eglaim they will spread their nets to catch fish of
many kinds, like the fish of the Great Sea.
Then the king made Daniel a great man, and gave him many great gifts, and made him ruler over the whole province of Babylon, and chief of the governors over all the wise men of Babylon.
Then the king promoted Daniel and gave him
many generous gifts. He made him ruler over the entire province of Babylon and chief
administrator over all the wise men of Babylon.
And through his policy also he shall cause craft to
prosper in his hand; and he shall
magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy
many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.
Through his craft and by his hand, he will cause
deceit to
prosper, and in his own mind he will make himself great. In a time of peace he will destroy
many, and he will even stand against the Prince of princes. Yet he will be broken off, but not by human hands.
And the vision of the evening and the morning which was told is true: wherefore shut thou up the vision; for it shall be for many days.
The vision of the evenings and the mornings that has been spoken is true. Now you must seal up the vision, for it concerns the distant future.”
And he shall
confirm the covenant with
many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the
oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it
desolate, even until the
consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the
desolate.
And he will
confirm a covenant with
many for one week, but in the middle of the week he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of the temple will come the
abomination that causes
desolation, until the decreed destruction is poured out upon him.”
Now I am come to make thee understand what shall
befall thy people in the latter days: for yet the vision is for
many days.
Now I have come to explain to you what will happen to your people in the latter days, for the vision concerns those days.”
And when he hath taken away the multitude, his heart shall be lifted up; and he shall cast down many ten thousands: but he shall not be strengthened by it.
When the army is carried off, the king of the South will be proud in heart and will cast down tens of thousands, but he will not triumph.
For the king of the north shall return, and shall set forth a multitude greater than the former, and shall certainly come after certain years with a great army and with much riches.
For the king of the North will raise another army, larger than the first, and after some years he will advance with a great army and many supplies.
And in those times there shall
many stand up against the king of the south: also the robbers of thy people shall
exalt themselves to establish the vision; but they shall fall.
In those times
many will rise up against the king of the South. Violent ones among your own people will
exalt themselves in
fulfillment of the vision, but they will fail.
After this shall he turn his face unto the isles, and shall take many: but a prince for his own behalf shall cause the reproach offered by him to cease; without his own reproach he shall cause it to turn upon him.

Yea, they that feed of the portion of his meat shall destroy him, and his army shall overflow: and
many shall fall down slain.
Those who eat from his provisions will seek to destroy him; his army will be swept away, and many will fall slain.
And they that understand among the people shall
instruct many: yet they shall fall by the sword, and by flame, by captivity, and by
spoil,
many days.
Those with insight will
instruct many, though for a time they will fall by sword or flame, or be captured or
plundered.
Now when they shall fall, they shall be
holpen with a little help: but
many shall
cleave to them with
flatteries.
Now when they fall, they will be granted a little help, but
many will join them
insincerely.
Thus shall he do in the most strong holds with a strange god, whom he shall acknowledge and increase with glory: and he shall cause them to rule over many, and shall divide the land for gain.
He will attack the strongest fortresses with the help of a foreign god and will greatly honor those who acknowledge him, making them rulers over many and distributing the land for a price.
And at the time of the end shall the king of the south
push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a
whirlwind, with
chariots, and with
horsemen, and with
many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over.
At the time of the end, the king of the South will
engage him in battle, but the king of the North will storm out against him with
chariots,
horsemen, and
many ships,
invading many countries and
sweeping through them like a flood.
He shall enter also into the glorious land, and
many countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of his hand, even
Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of
Ammon.
He will also
invade the Beautiful Land, and
many countries will fall. But these will be delivered from his hand:
Edom, Moab, and the leaders of the
Ammonites.
He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries: and the land of Egypt shall not escape.
He will extend his power over many countries, and not even the land of Egypt will escape.
But
tidings out of the east and out of the north shall trouble him: therefore he shall go forth with great
fury to destroy, and utterly to make away
many.
But news from the east and the north will
alarm him, and he will go out with great
fury to destroy
many and
devote them to destruction.
And
many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall
awake, some to
everlasting life, and some to shame and
everlasting contempt.
And they that be wise shall
shine as the brightness of the
firmament; and they that turn
many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.
Then the wise will
shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead
many to righteousness will
shine like the stars
forever and ever.
But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end:
many shall run to and
fro, and knowledge shall be increased.
But you, Daniel, shut up these words and seal the book until the time of the end.
Many will
roam to and
fro, and knowledge will increase.”
Many shall be
purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.
Many will be
purified, made spotless, and refined, but the wicked will continue to act wickedly. None of the wicked will understand, but the wise will understand.
And I said unto her, Thou shalt
abide for me
many days; thou shalt not play the
harlot, and thou shalt not be for another man: so will I also be for thee.
Then I said to her, “You must live with me for
many days; you must not be
promiscuous or belong to another, and I will do the same for you.”
For the children of Israel shall
abide many days without a king, and without a prince, and without a sacrifice, and without an image, and without an
ephod, and without
teraphim:
For the Israelites must live
many days without king or prince, without sacrifice or sacred
pillar, and without
ephod or
idol.
Because Ephraim hath made many altars to sin, altars shall be unto him to sin.
Though Ephraim multiplied the altars for sin, they became his altars for
sinning.
A day of darkness and of
gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of
many generations.
a day of darkness and
gloom, a day of clouds and blackness. Like the
dawn overspreading the mountains a great and strong army appears, such as never was of old, nor will ever be in ages to come.
For I know your
manifold transgressions and your mighty sins: they
afflict the just, they take a
bribe, and they turn aside the poor in the gate from their right.
For I know that your transgressions are
many and your sins are numerous. You
oppress the righteous by taking bribes; you deprive the poor of justice in the gate.
And the songs of the temple shall be howlings in that day, saith the Lord GOD: there shall be many dead bodies in every place; they shall cast them forth with silence.
“In that day,” declares the Lord GOD, “the songs of the temple will turn to
wailing.
Many will be the corpses,
strewn in silence everywhere!”
And should not I
spare Nineveh, that great city, wherein are more than
sixscore thousand persons that cannot
discern between their right hand and their left hand; and also much cattle?
So should I not care about the great city of
Nineveh, which has more than 120,000 people who cannot tell their right hand from their left, and
many cattle as well?”
And
many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of
Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
And
many nations will come and say: “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob. He will teach us His ways, so that we may walk in His paths.” For the law will go forth from
Zion and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
And he shall judge among
many people, and
rebuke strong nations
afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.
Then He will judge between
many peoples and
arbitrate for strong nations far and wide. Then they will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into
pruning hooks. Nation will no longer take up the sword against nation, nor will they train anymore for war.
Now also
many nations are gathered against thee, that say, Let her be
defiled, and let our eye look upon
Zion.
But now
many nations have assembled against you, saying, “Let her be
defiled, and let us feast our eyes on
Zion.”
Arise and
thresh, O daughter of
Zion: for I will make thine horn iron, and I will make thy
hoofs brass: and thou shalt beat in pieces
many people: and I will
consecrate their gain unto the LORD, and their substance unto the Lord of the whole earth.
Rise and
thresh, O Daughter of
Zion, for I will give you horns of iron and
hooves of bronze to break to pieces
many peoples. Then you will
devote their gain to the LORD, their wealth to the Lord of all the earth.
And the
remnant of Jacob shall be in the midst of
many people as a
dew from the LORD, as the showers upon the grass, that tarrieth not for man, nor waiteth for the sons of men.
Then the
remnant of Jacob will be in the midst of
many peoples like
dew from the LORD, like showers on the grass, which do not wait for man or
linger for mankind.
And the
remnant of Jacob shall be among the Gentiles in the midst of
many people as a lion among the beasts of the forest, as a young lion among the flocks of sheep: who, if he go through, both treadeth down, and teareth in pieces, and none can deliver.
Then the
remnant of Jacob will be among the nations, in the midst of
many peoples, like a lion among the beasts of the forest, like a young lion among flocks of sheep, which tramples and tears as it passes through, with no one to
rescue them.
Thus saith the LORD: Though they be quiet, and likewise
many, yet thus shall they be cut down, when he shall pass through. Though I have
afflicted thee, I will
afflict thee no more.
This is what the LORD says: “Though they are allied and numerous, yet they will be cut down and pass away. Though I have
afflicted you, O Judah, I will
afflict you no longer.
Because of the multitude of the whoredoms of the wellfavoured
harlot, the
mistress of witchcrafts, that selleth nations through her whoredoms, and families through her witchcrafts.
Shall not all these take up a parable against him, and a
taunting proverb against him, and say,
Woe to him that increaseth that which is not his! how long? and to him that ladeth himself with thick clay!
Will not all of these take up a
taunt against him, speaking with
mockery and
derision: ‘
Woe to him who amasses what is not his and makes himself rich with
many loans! How long will this go on?’
Because thou hast
spoiled many nations, all the
remnant of the people shall
spoil thee; because of men’s blood, and for the violence of the land, of the city, and of all that dwell therein.
Because you have
plundered many nations, the
remnant of the people will
plunder you— because of your
bloodshed against man and your violence against the land, the city, and all their dwellers.
Thou hast consulted shame to thy house by cutting off
many people, and hast
sinned against thy soul.
You have
plotted shame for your house by cutting off
many peoples and
forfeiting your life.
Thy bow was made quite naked, according to the oaths of the tribes, even thy word.
Selah. Thou
didst cleave the earth with rivers.
You
brandished Your bow; You called for
many arrows.
Selah You split the earth with rivers.
And many nations shall be joined to the LORD in that day, and shall be my people: and I will dwell in the midst of thee, and thou shalt know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto thee.
“On that day many nations will join themselves to the LORD, and they will become My people. I will dwell among you, and you will know that the LORD of Hosts has sent Me to you.
And to speak unto the priests which were in the house of the LORD of hosts, and to the prophets, saying, Should I
weep in the fifth month, separating myself, as I have done these so
many years?
by asking the priests of the house of the LORD of Hosts, as well as the prophets, “Should I
weep and fast in the fifth month, as I have done these
many years?”
Thus saith the LORD of hosts; It shall yet come to pass, that there shall come people, and the inhabitants of many cities:
This is what the LORD of Hosts says: “Peoples will yet come—the residents of many cities—
Yea,
many people and strong nations shall come to seek the LORD of hosts in Jerusalem, and to pray before the LORD.
And
many peoples and strong nations will come to seek the LORD of Hosts in Jerusalem and to
plead before the LORD.”
The law of truth was in his mouth, and iniquity was not found in his lips: he walked with me in peace and
equity, and did turn
many away from iniquity.
True instruction was in his mouth, and nothing false was found on his lips. He walked with Me in peace and uprightness, and he turned many from iniquity.
But ye are departed out of the way; ye have caused
many to
stumble at the law; ye have corrupted the covenant of Levi, saith the LORD of hosts.
But you have departed from the way, and your instruction has caused
many to
stumble. You have
violated the covenant of Levi,” says the LORD of Hosts.
But when he saw
many of the
Pharisees and
Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath
warned you to
flee from the wrath to come?
But when John saw
many of the
Pharisees and
Sadducees coming to his place of baptism, he said to them, “You
brood of vipers, who
warned you to
flee from the coming wrath?
But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
And when you pray, do not
babble on like pagans, for they think that by their
many words they will be heard.
Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and
many there be which go in
thereat:
Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not
prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done
many wonderful works?
Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not
prophesy in Your name, and in Your name drive out demons and perform
many miracles?’
And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven.
I say to you that
many will come from the east and the west to share the
banquet with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven.
When the even was come, they brought unto him
many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and
healed all that were sick:

many who were
demon-possessed were brought to Jesus, and He drove out the spirits with a word and
healed all the sick.

herd of
many swine feeding.
In the distance a large

So do not be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.
And he spake
many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a
sower went forth to
sow;
And He told them
many things in parables, saying, “A farmer went out to
sow his seed.
For
verily I say unto you, That
many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.
For truly I tell you, many prophets and righteous men longed to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it.
And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.
And He did not do many miracles there, because of their unbelief.
And
besought him that they might only touch the
hem of his garment: and as
many as touched were made perfectly whole.
And great multitudes came unto him, having with them those that were
lame, blind,
dumb,
maimed, and
many others, and cast them down at Jesus’ feet; and he
healed them:
Large crowds came to Him, bringing the
lame, the blind, the
crippled, the
mute, and
many others, and laid them at His feet, and He
healed them.
And Jesus saith unto them, How
many loaves have ye? And they said, Seven, and a few little fishes.
“How
many loaves do you have?” Jesus asked. “Seven,” they replied, “and a few small fish.”
Do ye not yet understand, neither remember the five
loaves of the five thousand, and how
many baskets ye took up?
Do you still not understand? Do you not remember the five
loaves for the five thousand, and how
many basketfuls you gathered?
Neither the seven
loaves of the four thousand, and how
many baskets ye took up?
Or the seven
loaves for the four thousand, and how
many basketfuls you gathered?
From that time forth began Jesus to
shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer
many things of the elders and chief priests and
scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day.
From that time on Jesus began to show His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem and suffer
many things at the hands of the elders, chief priests, and
scribes, and that He must be killed and on the third day be raised to life.
Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how
oft shall my brother sin against me, and I
forgive him? till seven times?
Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how
many times shall I
forgive my brother who sins against me? Up to seven times?”
But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first.
But many who are first will be last, and the last will be first.
So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen.
So the last will be first, and the first will be last.”
Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a
ransom for
many.
just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a
ransom for
many.”
Go ye therefore into the
highways, and as
many as ye shall find,
bid to the marriage.
Go therefore to the crossroads and
invite to the
banquet as
many as you can find.’
So those servants went out into the
highways, and gathered together all as
many as they found, both bad and good: and the
wedding was furnished with guests.
So the servants went out into the streets and gathered
everyone they could find, both evil and good, and the
wedding hall was filled with guests.
For many are called, but few are chosen.
For many are called, but few are chosen.”
For
many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall
deceive many.
For
many will come in My name, claiming, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will
deceive many.
And then shall
many be
offended, and shall
betray one another, and shall
hate one another.
At that time
many will fall away and will
betray and
hate one another,
And
many false prophets shall rise, and shall
deceive many.
and many false prophets will arise and mislead many.
And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
Because of the
multiplication of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold.
His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Enter into the joy of your master!’
His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Enter into the joy of your master!’
For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
This is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for
many for the
forgiveness of sins.
But found none:
yea, though
many false witnesses came, yet found they none. At the last came two false witnesses,
But they did not find any, though many false witnesses came forward. Finally two came forward
Then said
Pilate unto him, Hearest thou not how
many things they witness against thee?
Then
Pilate asked Him, “Do You not hear how
many charges they are bringing against You?”
When he was set down on the judgment seat, his wife sent unto him, saying, Have thou nothing to do with that just man: for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of him.
While
Pilate was sitting on the judgment seat, his wife sent him this message: “Have nothing to do with that innocent man, for I have suffered
terribly in a dream
today because of Him.”
And the graves were opened; and
many bodies of the saints which
slept arose,
The tombs broke open, and the bodies of
many saints who had fallen
asleep were raised.
And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.
After Jesus’ resurrection, when they had come out of the tombs, they entered the holy city and appeared to many people.
And
many women were there beholding
afar off, which followed Jesus from
Galilee, ministering unto him:
And
many women were there, watching from a distance. They had followed Jesus from
Galilee to minister to Him.
And he
healed many that were sick of
divers diseases, and cast out
many devils; and suffered not the devils to speak, because they knew him.
And He
healed many who were ill with various diseases and drove out
many demons. But He would not allow the demons to speak, because they knew who He was.
And
straightway many were gathered together,
insomuch that there was no room to receive them, no, not so much as about the door: and he preached the word unto them.
they gathered in such large numbers that there was no more room, not even outside the door, as Jesus spoke the word to them.
And it came to pass, that, as Jesus sat at meat in his house, many publicans and sinners sat also together with Jesus and his disciples: for there were many, and they followed him.
While Jesus was
dining at Levi’s house,
many tax collectors and sinners were eating with Him and His disciples—for there were
many who followed Him.

healed many;
insomuch that they pressed upon him for to touch him, as
many as had plagues.
For He had
healed so
many that all who had diseases were pressing forward to touch Him.

forgiven all sins and blasphemies, as
many as they utter.
And he taught them many things by parables, and said unto them in his doctrine,
And He taught them many things in parables, and in His teaching He said,
And with many such parables spake he the word unto them, as they were able to hear it.
With many such parables Jesus spoke the word to them, to the extent that they could understand.
And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is
Legion: for we are

many.”

agony under the care of
many physicians and had spent all she had, but to no
avail. Instead, her condition had only grown worse.
And when the sabbath day was come, he began to teach in the
synagogue: and
many hearing him were
astonished, saying, From whence hath this man these things? and what wisdom is this which is given unto him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands?
When the Sabbath came, He began to teach in the
synagogue, and
many who heard Him were
astonished. “Where did this man get these ideas?” they asked. “What is this wisdom He has been given? And how can He perform such miracles?
And they cast out
many devils, and
anointed with oil
many that were sick, and
healed them.
They also drove out
many demons and
healed many of the sick,
anointing them with oil.
