And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the
herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.
Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth vegetation: seed-bearing plants and fruit trees, each bearing fruit with seed according to its kind.” And it was so.
And the earth brought forth grass, and
herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
The earth produced vegetation: seed-bearing plants according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.
And God said, Behold, I have given you every
herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.
Then God said, “Behold, I have given you every seed-bearing plant on the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit contains seed. They will be yours for food.
And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green
herb for meat: and it was so.
And to every beast of the earth and every bird of the air and every creature that crawls upon the earth—everything that has the breath of life in it—I have given every green plant for food.” And it was so.
And every
plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every
herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground.
Now no
shrub of the field had yet appeared on the earth, nor had any
plant of the field
sprouted; for the LORD God had not yet sent rain upon the earth, and there was no man to
cultivate the ground.
And the LORD God
planted a garden eastward in
Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.
And the LORD God
planted a garden in
Eden, in the east, where He placed the man He had formed.
Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the
herb of the field;
Both thorns and thistles it will yield for you, and you will eat the plants of the field.
Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green
herb have I given you all things.
Everything that lives and moves will be food for you; just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you all things.
And Abraham
planted a
grove in Beer-
sheba, and called there on the name of the LORD, the
everlasting God.
And Abraham
planted a
tamarisk tree in
Beersheba, and there he called upon the name of the LORD, the Eternal God.
And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch forth thine hand toward heaven, that there may be
hail in all the land of Egypt, upon man, and upon beast, and upon every
herb of the field, throughout the land of Egypt.
Then the LORD said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand toward heaven, so that
hail may fall on all the land of Egypt—on man and beast and every
plant of the field throughout the land of Egypt.”
And the
hail smote throughout all the land of Egypt all that was in the field, both man and beast; and the
hail smote every
herb of the field, and
brake every tree of the field.
Throughout the land of Egypt, the
hail struck down everything in the field, both man and beast; it beat down every
plant of the field and
stripped every tree.
And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand over the land of Egypt for the locusts, that they may come up upon the land of Egypt, and eat every
herb of the land, even all that the
hail hath left.
Then the LORD said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand over the land of Egypt, so that the locusts may
swarm over it and
devour every
plant in the land—everything that the
hail has left behind.”
For they covered the face of the whole earth, so that the land was
darkened; and they did eat every
herb of the land, and all the fruit of the trees which the
hail had left: and there remained not any green thing in the trees, or in the herbs of the field, through all the land of Egypt.
They covered the face of all the land until it was black, and they consumed all the
plants on the ground and all the fruit on the trees that the
hail had left behind. Nothing green was left on any tree or
plant in all the land of Egypt.
Thou shalt bring them in, and plant them in the mountain of thine inheritance, in the place, O LORD, which thou hast made for thee to dwell in, in the Sanctuary, O Lord, which thy hands have established.
You will bring them in and plant them on the mountain of Your inheritance— the place, O LORD, You have prepared for Your dwelling, the sanctuary, O Lord, Your hands have established.
And when ye shall come into the land, and shall have
planted all manner of trees for food, then ye shall count the fruit thereof as
uncircumcised: three years shall it be as
uncircumcised unto you: it shall not be eaten of.
When you enter the land and plant any kind of tree for food, you shall regard the fruit as forbidden. For three years it will be forbidden to you and must not be eaten.
As the valleys are they spread forth, as gardens by the river’s side, as the trees of lign
aloes which the LORD hath
planted, and as
cedar trees beside the waters.
They spread out like palm groves, like gardens beside a stream, like
aloes the LORD has
planted, like cedars beside the waters.
And houses full of all good things, which thou filledst not, and wells
digged, which thou diggedst not, vineyards and olive trees, which thou
plantedst not; when thou shalt have eaten and be full;
with houses full of every good thing with which you did not fill them, with wells that you did not
dig, and with vineyards and olive groves that you did not
plant—and when you eat and are satisfied,
Thou shalt not
plant thee a
grove of any trees near unto the altar of the LORD thy God, which thou shalt make thee.
Do not set up any wooden Asherah pole next to the altar you will build for the LORD your God,
And what man is he that hath
planted a
vineyard, and hath not yet eaten of it? let him also go and return unto his house, lest he die in the battle, and another man eat of it.
Has any man
planted a
vineyard and not begun to enjoy its fruit? Let him return home, or he may die in battle and another man enjoy its fruit.
Do not
plant your
vineyard with two types of seed; if you do, the entire harvest will be
defiled—both the crop you
plant and the fruit of your
vineyard.
Thou shalt
betroth a wife, and another man shall lie with her: thou shalt build an house, and thou shalt not dwell therein: thou shalt
plant a
vineyard, and shalt not gather the grapes thereof.
You will be
pledged in marriage to a woman, but another man will
violate her. You will build a house but will not live in it. You will
plant a
vineyard but will not enjoy its fruit.
Thou shalt plant vineyards, and dress them, but shalt neither drink of the wine, nor gather the grapes; for the worms shall eat them.
You will
plant and
cultivate vineyards, but will neither drink the wine nor gather the grapes, because worms will eat them.
And that the whole land thereof is
brimstone, and salt, and burning, that it is not sown, nor beareth, nor any grass groweth therein, like the overthrow of
Sodom, and
Gomorrah, Admah, and
Zeboim, which the LORD overthrew in his anger, and in his wrath:
All its soil will be a burning waste of sulfur and salt, unsown and unproductive, with no
plant growing on it, just like the destruction of
Sodom and
Gomorrah, Admah and Zeboiim, which the LORD overthrew in His fierce anger.
My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall
distil as the
dew, as the small rain upon the tender
herb, and as the showers upon the grass:
Let my teaching fall like rain and my speech settle like
dew, like gentle rain on new grass, like showers on tender
plants.
And I have given you a land for which ye did not labour, and cities which ye built not, and ye dwell in them; of the vineyards and oliveyards which ye planted not do ye eat.
So I gave you a land on which you did not
toil and cities that you did not build, and now you live in them and eat from vineyards and olive groves that you did not
plant.’
And so it was, when Israel had sown, that the Midianites came up, and the
Amalekites, and the children of the east, even they came up against them;
Whenever the Israelites would
plant their crops, the Midianites,
Amalekites, and other people of the east would come up and
invade them,
Moreover I will
appoint a place for my people Israel, and will
plant them, that they may dwell in a place of their own, and move no more; neither shall the children of wickedness
afflict them any more, as
beforetime,
And I will provide a place for My people Israel and will
plant them so that they may dwell in a place of their own and be disturbed no more. No longer will the sons of wickedness
oppress them as they did at the beginning
Therefore their inhabitants were of small power, they were dismayed and confounded; they were as the grass of the field, and as the green
herb, as the grass on the house tops, and as corn blasted before it be grown up.
Therefore their inhabitants, devoid of power, are dismayed and
ashamed. They are like
plants in the field, tender green shoots, grass on the rooftops,
scorched before it is grown.
And this shall be a sign unto thee, Ye shall eat this year such things as grow of themselves, and in the second year that which springeth of the same; and in the third year
sow ye, and
reap, and
plant vineyards, and eat the fruits thereof.
And this will be a sign to you, O
Hezekiah: This year you will eat what grows on its own, and in the second year what springs from the same. But in the third year you will
sow and
reap; you will
plant vineyards and eat their fruit.
These were the potters, and those that dwelt among plants and hedges: there they dwelt with the king for his work.
These were the potters who lived at Netaim and Gederah. They lived there in the service of the king.
Also I will
ordain a place for my people Israel, and will
plant them, and they shall dwell in their place, and shall be moved no more; neither shall the children of wickedness waste them any more, as at the beginning,
And I will provide a place for My people Israel and will
plant them so that they may dwell in a place of their own and be disturbed no more. No longer will the sons of wickedness
oppress them as they did at the beginning
He is green before the sun, and his branch shooteth forth in his garden.
He is a well-watered
plant in the
sunshine, spreading its shoots over the garden.
Yet through the
scent of water it will
bud, and bring forth boughs like a
plant.
He lieth under the
shady trees, in the
covert of the reed, and fens.
He lies under the
lotus plants, hidden among the reeds of the marsh.
The
shady trees cover him with their shadow; the willows of the
brook compass him about.
And he shall be like a tree
planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and
whatsoever he doeth shall
prosper.
He is like a tree planted by streams of water, yielding its fruit in season, whose leaf does not wither, and who prospers in all he does.
For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green
herb.
For they wither quickly like grass and
wilt like tender
plants.
How thou
didst drive out the heathen with thy hand, and
plantedst them; how thou
didst afflict the people, and cast them out.
With Your hand You drove out the nations and
planted our fathers there; You
crushed the peoples and cast them out.
Thou hast brought a vine out of Egypt: thou hast cast out the heathen, and planted it.
You uprooted a vine from Egypt; You drove out the nations and
transplanted it.
And the
vineyard which thy right hand hath
planted, and the branch that thou madest strong for
thyself.
the root Your right hand has
planted, the son You have raised up for
Yourself.
Those that be
planted in the house of the LORD shall
flourish in the courts of our God.
Planted in the house of the LORD, they will
flourish in the courts of our God.
He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? he that formed the eye, shall he not see?
He who
affixed the ear, can He not hear? He who formed the eye, can He not see?
The trees of the LORD are full of
sap; the cedars of
Lebanon, which he hath
planted;
The trees of the LORD have their fill, the cedars of
Lebanon that He
planted,
And did eat up all the herbs in their land, and
devoured the fruit of their ground.
They
devoured every
plant in their land and consumed the produce of their soil.
And
sow the fields, and
plant vineyards, which may yield fruits of increase.
They
sow fields and
plant vineyards that yield a fruitful harvest.
Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about thy table.
Your wife will be like a fruitful vine flourishing within your house, your sons like olive shoots sitting around your table.
That our sons may be as
plants grown up in their youth; that our daughters may be as corner stones, polished after the
similitude of a palace:
Then our sons will be like
plants nurtured in their youth, our daughters like corner pillars carved to
adorn a palace.
She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she
planteth a
vineyard.
I made me great works; I builded me houses; I planted me vineyards:
I expanded my pursuits. I built houses and planted vineyards for myself.
I made me gardens and orchards, and I planted trees in them of all kind of fruits:
I made gardens and parks for myself, where I planted all kinds of fruit trees.
A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to
plant, and a time to
pluck up that which is
planted;
a time to be born and a time to die, a time to
plant and a time to
uproot,
Your branches are an
orchard of pomegranates with the choicest of fruits, with
henna and
nard,
And he
fenced it, and gathered out the stones thereof, and
planted it with the choicest vine, and built a tower in the midst of it, and also made a winepress therein: and he looked that it should bring forth grapes, and it brought forth wild grapes.
He
dug it up and cleared the stones and
planted the finest vines. He built a
watchtower in the middle and
dug out a winepress as well. He waited for the
vineyard to yield good grapes, but the fruit it produced was
sour!
For the
vineyard of the LORD of hosts is the house of Israel, and the men of Judah his pleasant
plant: and he looked for judgment, but behold oppression; for righteousness, but behold a cry.
For the
vineyard of the LORD of Hosts is the house of Israel, and the men of Judah are the
plant of His delight. He looked for justice, but saw
bloodshed; for righteousness, but heard a cry of distress.
For the fields of
Heshbon languish, and the vine of Sibmah: the lords of the heathen have broken down the principal
plants thereof, they are come even unto Jazer, they
wandered through the wilderness: her branches are stretched out, they are gone over the sea.
For the fields of
Heshbon have
withered, along with the grapevines of Sibmah. The rulers of the nations have
trampled its choicest vines, which had reached as far as Jazer and spread toward the desert. Their shoots had spread out and passed over the sea.
Because thou hast forgotten the God of thy salvation, and hast not been mindful of the rock of thy strength, therefore shalt thou plant pleasant plants, and shalt set it with strange slips:
For you have forgotten the God of your salvation and failed to remember the Rock of your refuge. Therefore, though you
cultivate delightful plots and set out cuttings from
exotic vines—
In the day shalt thou make thy
plant to grow, and in the morning shalt thou make thy seed to
flourish: but the harvest shall be a
heap in the day of grief and of
desperate sorrow.
though on the day you
plant you make them grow, and on that morning you help your seed
sprout— yet the harvest will
vanish on the day of disease and incurable pain.
When he hath made plain the face thereof,
doth he not cast abroad the
fitches, and
scatter the
cummin, and cast in the principal wheat and the appointed barley and
rie in their place?
When he has leveled its surface, does he not
sow caraway and
scatter cumin? He
plants wheat in rows and barley in plots, and
rye within its border.
Therefore their inhabitants were of small power, they were dismayed and confounded: they were as the grass of the field, and as the green
herb, as the grass on the housetops, and as corn blasted before it be grown up.
Therefore their inhabitants, devoid of power, are dismayed and
ashamed. They are like
plants in the field, tender green shoots, grass on the rooftops,
scorched before it is grown.
And this shall be a sign unto thee, Ye shall eat this year such as groweth of itself; and the second year that which springeth of the same: and in the third year
sow ye, and
reap, and
plant vineyards, and eat the fruit thereof.
And this will be a sign to you, O
Hezekiah: This year you will eat what grows on its own, and in the second year what springs from the same. But in the third year you will
sow and
reap; you will
plant vineyards and eat their fruit.
Yea, they shall not be
planted;
yea, they shall not be sown:
yea, their stock shall not take root in the earth: and he shall also blow upon them, and they shall wither, and the
whirlwind shall take them away as
stubble.
No sooner are they
planted, no sooner are they sown, no sooner have their stems taken root in the ground, than He blows on them and they wither, and a
whirlwind sweeps them away like
stubble.
I will
plant in the wilderness the
cedar, the
shittah tree, and the
myrtle, and the oil tree; I will set in the desert the
fir tree, and the pine, and the box tree together:
I will
plant cedars in the wilderness,
acacias, myrtles, and olive trees. I will set
cypresses in the desert, elms and
boxwood together,
He heweth him down cedars, and taketh the
cypress and the oak, which he strengtheneth for himself among the trees of the forest: he
planteth an ash, and the rain
doth nourish it.
He cuts down cedars or retrieves a
cypress or oak. He lets it grow strong among the trees of the forest. He
plants a
laurel, and the rain makes it grow.
And I have put my words in thy mouth, and I have covered thee in the shadow of mine hand, that I may
plant the heavens, and lay the foundations of the earth, and say unto
Zion, Thou art my people.
I have put My words in your mouth, and covered you with the shadow of My hand, to establish the heavens, to found the earth, and to say to
Zion, ‘You are My people.’”
For he shall grow up before him as a tender
plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor
comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.
He grew up before Him like a tender shoot, and like a root out of dry ground. He had no stately form or majesty to
attract us, no beauty that we should desire Him.
Thy people also shall be all righteous: they shall
inherit the land for ever, the branch of my
planting, the work of my hands, that I may be
glorified.
Then all your people will be righteous; they will possess the land
forever; they are the branch of My
planting, the work of My hands, so that I may be
glorified.
To
appoint unto them that
mourn in
Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for
mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of
heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the
planting of the LORD, that he might be
glorified.
to
console the mourners in
Zion— to give them a crown of beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for
mourning, and a garment of praise for a spirit of
despair. So they will be called oaks of righteousness, the
planting of the LORD, that He may be
glorified.
And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them.
They will build houses and dwell in them; they will plant vineyards and eat their fruit.
They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not
plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine
elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands.
No longer will they build houses for others to inhabit, nor plant for others to eat. For as is the lifetime of a tree, so will be the days of My people, and My chosen ones will fully enjoy the work of their hands.
See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant.
See, I have appointed you
today over nations and kingdoms to
uproot and
tear down, to destroy and overthrow, to build and
plant.”
Yet I had
planted thee a noble vine, wholly a right seed: how then art thou turned into the
degenerate plant of a strange vine unto me?
I had
planted you like a choice vine from the very best seed. How could you turn
yourself before Me into a
rotten, wild vine?
For the LORD of hosts, that
planted thee, hath pronounced evil against thee, for the evil of the house of Israel and of the house of Judah, which they have done against themselves to
provoke me to anger in offering incense unto
Baal.
The LORD of Hosts, who
planted you, has decreed
disaster against you on account of the evil that the house of Israel and the house of Judah have brought upon themselves,
provoking Me to anger by burning incense to
Baal.”
Thou hast
planted them,
yea, they have taken root: they grow,
yea, they bring forth fruit: thou art near in their mouth, and far from their
reins.
You planted them, and they have taken root. They have grown and produced fruit. You are ever on their lips, but far from their hearts.
For he shall be as a tree
planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of
drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.
He is like a tree
planted by the waters that sends out its roots toward the stream. It does not fear when the heat comes, and its leaves are always green. It does not
worry in a year of
drought, nor does it cease to produce fruit.
And at what instant I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to build and to plant it;
And if at another time I
announce that I will build up and establish a nation or kingdom,
For I will set mine eyes upon them for good, and I will bring them again to this land: and I will build them, and not pull them down; and I will
plant them, and not
pluck them up.
I will keep My eyes on them for good and will return them to this land. I will build them up and not
tear them down; I will
plant them and not
uproot them.
Build ye houses, and dwell in them; and plant gardens, and eat the fruit of them;
“Build houses and settle down. Plant gardens and eat their produce.
For therefore he sent unto us in Babylon, saying, This captivity is long: build ye houses, and dwell in them; and plant gardens, and eat the fruit of them.
For he has sent to us in Babylon, claiming: Since the exile will be
lengthy, build houses and settle down;
plant gardens and eat their produce.’”
Thou shalt yet plant vines upon the mountains of Samaria: the planters shall plant, and shall eat them as common things.
Again you will plant vineyards on the hills of Samaria; the farmers will plant and enjoy the fruit.
And it shall come to pass, that like as I have watched over them, to
pluck up, and to break down, and to throw down, and to destroy, and to
afflict; so will I watch over them, to build, and to
plant, saith the LORD.
Just as I watched over them to
uproot and
tear down, to
demolish, destroy, and bring
disaster, so I will watch over them to build and to
plant,” declares the LORD.
Yea, I will
rejoice over them to do them good, and I will
plant them in this land
assuredly with my whole heart and with my whole soul.
Yes, I will
rejoice in doing them good, and I will faithfully
plant them in this land with all My heart and with all My soul.
Neither shall ye build house, nor
sow seed, nor
plant vineyard, nor have any: but all your days ye shall dwell in tents; that ye may live many days in the land where ye be strangers.
Nor are you ever to build a house or
sow seed or
plant a
vineyard. Those things are not for you. Instead, you must live in tents all your lives, so that you may live a long time in the land where you
wander.’
If ye will still
abide in this land, then will I build you, and not pull you down, and I will
plant you, and not
pluck you up: for I
repent me of the evil that I have done unto you.
‘If you will indeed stay in this land, then I will build you up and not
tear you down; I will
plant you and not
uproot you, for I will relent of the
disaster I have brought upon you.
Thus shalt thou say unto him, The LORD saith thus; Behold, that which I have built will I break down, and that which I have
planted I will
pluck up, even this whole land.
Thus Jeremiah was to say to
Baruch: “This is what the LORD says: Throughout the land I will
demolish what I have built and
uproot what I have
planted.
O vine of Sibmah, I will
weep for thee with the
weeping of Jazer: thy
plants are gone over the sea, they reach even to the sea of Jazer: the
spoiler is fallen upon thy summer fruits and upon thy
vintage.
I will
weep for you, O vine of Sibmah, more than I
weep for Jazer. Your tendrils have extended to the sea; they reach even to Jazer. The destroyer has descended on your summer fruit and
grape harvest.
I have caused thee to multiply as the
bud of the field, and thou hast increased and
waxen great, and thou art come to excellent ornaments: thy breasts are fashioned, and thine hair is grown, whereas thou
wast naked and bare.
I made you
thrive like a
plant of the field. You grew up and
matured and became very beautiful. Your breasts were formed and your hair grew, but you were naked and bare.
He
cropped off the top of his young twigs, and carried it into a land of
traffick; he set it in a city of merchants.
He
plucked off its
topmost shoot, carried it to the land of merchants, and
planted it in a city of traders.
He took also of the seed of the land, and
planted it in a fruitful field; he placed it by great waters, and set it as a
willow tree.
He took some of the seed of the land and
planted it in fertile soil; he placed it by abundant waters and set it out like a
willow.
There was also another great eagle with great wings and many feathers: and, behold, this vine did bend her roots toward him, and shot forth her branches toward him, that he might water it by the furrows of her
plantation.
But there was another great eagle with great wings and many feathers. And behold, this vine bent its roots toward him. It stretched out its branches to him from its planting bed, so that he might water it.
It was planted in a good soil by great waters, that it might bring forth branches, and that it might bear fruit, that it might be a goodly vine.
It had been planted in good soil by abundant waters in order to yield branches and bear fruit and become a splendid vine.’
Yea, behold, being
planted, shall it
prosper? shall it not utterly wither, when the east wind toucheth it? it shall wither in the furrows where it grew.
Even if it is
transplanted, will it
flourish? Will it not completely wither when the east wind strikes? It will wither on the bed where it
sprouted.’”
Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will also take of the highest branch of the high
cedar, and will set it; I will crop off from the top of his young twigs a tender one, and will
plant it upon an high mountain and eminent:
This is what the Lord GOD says: ‘I will take a shoot from the lofty top of the
cedar, and I will set it out. I will
pluck a tender
sprig from its
topmost shoots, and I will
plant it on a high and lofty mountain.
In the mountain of the height of Israel will I
plant it: and it shall bring forth boughs, and bear fruit, and be a goodly
cedar: and under it shall dwell all fowl of every wing; in the shadow of the branches thereof shall they dwell.
I will
plant it on the mountain heights of Israel so that it will bear branches; it will yield fruit and become a
majestic cedar. Birds of every kind will nest under it, taking shelter in the shade of its branches.
Thy mother is like a vine in thy blood, planted by the waters: she was fruitful and full of branches by reason of many waters.
Your mother was like a vine in your
vineyard,
planted by the water; it was fruitful and full of branches because of the abundant waters.
And now she is
planted in the wilderness, in a dry and
thirsty ground.
Now it is
planted in the wilderness, in a dry and
thirsty land.
And they shall dwell safely therein, and shall build houses, and
plant vineyards;
yea, they shall dwell with confidence, when I have executed judgments upon all those that
despise them round about them; and they shall know that I am the LORD their God.
And there they will dwell securely, build houses, and
plant vineyards. They will dwell securely when I
execute judgments against all those around them who treat them with contempt. Then they will know that I am the LORD their God.’”
The waters made him great, the deep set him up on high with her rivers running round about his plants, and sent out her little rivers unto all the trees of the field.
The waters made it grow; the deep springs made it tall, directing their streams all around its base and sending their channels to all the trees of the field.
And I will raise up for them a
plant of
renown, and they shall be no more consumed with hunger in the land, neither bear the shame of the heathen any more.
And I will raise up for them a garden of
renown, and they will no longer be victims of famine in the land or bear the
scorn of the nations.
