Surely I have seen
yesterday the blood of
Naboth, and the blood of his sons, saith the LORD; and I will requite thee in this
plat, saith the LORD. Now therefore take and cast him into the
plat of ground, according to the word of the LORD.
‘As surely as I

And as
Josiah turned, he
saw the tombs there on the
hillside, and he sent someone to take the bones out of the tombs, and he burned them on the altar to
defile it, according to the word of the LORD proclaimed by the man of God who had
foretold these things.

When his
armor-bearer
saw that Saul was dead, he too fell on his own sword and died.
And when all the men of Israel that were in the valley

Now when
Joab saw that the battle was set against him before and behind, he chose out of all the choice of Israel, and put them in
array against the Syrians.
When
Joab saw the battle lines before him and behind him, he selected some of the best men of Israel and
arrayed them against the Arameans.
And when the children of
Ammon saw that the Syrians were fled, they likewise fled before
Abishai his brother, and entered into the city. Then
Joab came to Jerusalem.
When the

And when the Syrians saw that they were put to the worse before Israel, they sent messengers, and drew forth the Syrians that were beyond the river: and Shophach the captain of the host of Hadarezer went before them.
When the Arameans saw that they had been defeated by Israel, they sent messengers to bring more Arameans from beyond the Euphrates, with Shophach the commander of Hadadezer’s army leading them.

Then God sent an angel to destroy Jerusalem, but as the angel was doing so, the LORD
saw it and relented from the
calamity, and He said to the angel who was destroying the people, “Enough! Withdraw your hand now!” At that time the angel of the LORD was standing by the
threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.
And David lifted up his eyes, and
saw the angel of the LORD stand between the earth and the heaven, having a drawn sword in his hand stretched out over Jerusalem. Then David and the elders of Israel, who were clothed in
sackcloth, fell upon their faces.
When David lifted up his eyes and
saw the angel of the LORD standing between heaven and earth, with a drawn sword in his hand stretched out over Jerusalem, David and the elders, clothed in
sackcloth, fell facedown.
And Ornan turned back, and
saw the angel; and his four sons with him
hid themselves. Now Ornan was
threshing wheat.
Now Ornan was
threshing wheat when he turned and
saw the angel; and his four sons who were with him
hid themselves.
And as David came to Ornan, Ornan looked and saw David, and went out of the threshingfloor, and bowed himself to David with his face to the ground.
David came to Ornan, and when Ornan looked out and
saw David, he left the
threshing floor and bowed facedown before David.
At that time when David saw that the LORD had answered him in the threshingfloor of Ornan the Jebusite, then he sacrificed there.

thanks to the LORD: “For He is good; His loving devotion endures
forever.”

saw that the king would not
hearken unto them, the people answered the king, saying, What portion have we in David? and we have none inheritance in the son of

When all Israel

shepherd. And the LORD said, ‘These people have no master; let each one return home in peace.’”
Again he said, Therefore hear the word of the LORD; I saw the LORD sitting upon his throne, and all the host of heaven standing on his right hand and on his left.

Jehoshaphat cried out, and the LORD helped him; and God moved them to depart from him.
When the
chariot commanders
saw Jehoshaphat, they said, “This is the king of Israel!” So they turned to fight against him, but
Jehoshaphat cried out, and the LORD helped him. God drew them away from him.
For it came to pass, that, when the captains of the
chariots perceived that it was not the king of Israel, they turned back again from pursuing him.
And when the
chariot commanders
saw that he was not the king of Israel, they turned back from pursuing him.
But when
Athaliah the mother of
Ahaziah saw that her son was dead, she arose and destroyed all the seed royal of the house of Judah.
When
Athaliah the mother of
Ahaziah saw that her son was dead, she proceeded to
annihilate all the royal heirs of the house of Judah.
And she looked, and, behold, the king stood at his
pillar at the entering in, and the princes and the
trumpets by the king: and all the people of the land
rejoiced, and sounded with
trumpets, also the singers with instruments of musick, and such as taught to sing praise. Then
Athaliah rent her clothes, and said, Treason, Treason.
And she looked out and
saw the king standing by his
pillar at the entrance. The officers and trumpeters were beside the king, and all the people of the land were
rejoicing and blowing
trumpets, while the singers with musical instruments were leading the praises. Then
Athaliah tore her clothes and
screamed, “Treason, treason!”
Now it came to pass, that at what time the chest was brought unto the king’s office by the hand of the Levites, and when they
saw that there was much money, the king’s
scribe and the high priest’s officer came and
emptied the chest, and took it, and carried it to his place again. Thus they did day by day, and gathered money in abundance.
Whenever the chest was brought by the Levites to the king’s overseers and they
saw that there was a large amount of money, the royal
scribe and the officer of the high priest would come and empty the chest and carry it back to its place. They did this daily and gathered the money in abundance.
So
Joash the king of Israel went up; and they
saw one another in the face, both he and
Amaziah king of Judah, at Beth-shemesh, which belongeth to Judah.
So Jehoash king of Israel advanced, and he and
Amaziah king of Judah faced each other at Beth-shemesh in Judah.
And
Azariah the chief priest, and all the priests, looked upon him, and, behold, he was
leprous in his
forehead, and they thrust him out from thence;
yea, himself hasted also to go out, because the LORD had
smitten him.
And when
Hezekiah and the princes came and
saw the heaps, they blessed the LORD, and his people Israel.
When
Hezekiah and his officials came and viewed the heaps, they blessed the LORD and His people Israel.
And when
Hezekiah saw that
Sennacherib was come, and that he was purposed to fight against Jerusalem,
But many of the priests and Levites and chief of the fathers, who were ancient men, that had seen the first house, when the foundation of this house was laid before their eyes,
wept with a loud voice; and many
shouted aloud for joy:
But many of the older priests, Levites, and family heads who had seen the first temple
wept loudly when they
saw the foundation of this temple. Still, many others
shouted joyfully.
And it came to pass, that when all our enemies heard thereof, and all the heathen that were about us saw these things, they were much cast down in their own eyes: for they perceived that this work was wrought of our God.
When all our enemies heard about this, all the surrounding nations were afraid and
disheartened, for they realized that this task had been accomplished by our God.
And
didst see the
affliction of our fathers in Egypt, and heardest their cry by the Red sea;
You
saw the
affliction of our fathers in Egypt; You heard their cry at the Red Sea.
In those days
saw I in Judah some
treading winepresses on the sabbath, and bringing in
sheaves, and
lading asses; as also wine, grapes, and figs, and all manner of burdens, which they brought into Jerusalem on the sabbath day: and I
testified against them in the day wherein they sold
victuals.
In those days I
saw people in Judah
treading winepresses on the Sabbath and bringing in grain and loading it on
donkeys, along with wine, grapes, and figs. All kinds of goods were being brought into Jerusalem on the Sabbath day. So I
warned them against selling food on that day.
In those days also
saw I Jews that had married wives of
Ashdod, of
Ammon, and of Moab:
In those days I also
saw Jews who had married women from
Ashdod,
Ammon, and Moab.
