Therefore they shall come and sing in the height of
Zion, and shall flow together to the goodness of the LORD, for wheat, and for wine, and for oil, and for the young of the flock and of the
herd: and their
soul shall be as a watered garden; and they shall not sorrow any more at all.
They will come and
shout for joy on the heights of
Zion; they will be
radiant over the
bounty of the LORD— the grain, new wine, and oil, and the young of the flocks and herds. Their life will be like a well-watered garden, and never again will they
languish.
And I will
satiate the
soul of the priests with fatness, and my people shall be satisfied with my goodness, saith the LORD.
I will fill the souls of the priests abundantly, and will fill My people with My goodness,” declares the LORD.
In those days they shall say no more, The fathers have eaten a
sour grape, and the children’s teeth are set on edge.
“In those days, it will no longer be said: ‘The fathers have eaten
sour grapes, and the teeth of the children are set on edge.’
But every one shall die for his own iniquity: every man that eateth the
sour grape, his teeth shall be set on edge.
Instead, each will die for his own iniquity. If
anyone eats the
sour grapes, his own teeth will be set on edge.
Yea, I will
rejoice over them to do them good, and I will plant them in this land
assuredly with my whole heart and with my whole
soul.
Yes, I will
rejoice in doing them good, and I will faithfully plant them in this land with all My heart and with all My
soul.
Men shall
buy fields for money, and
subscribe evidences, and seal them, and take witnesses in the land of Benjamin, and in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, and in the cities of the mountains, and in the cities of the valley, and in the cities of the
south: for I will cause their captivity to return, saith the LORD.
Fields will be purchased with silver, and deeds will be signed, sealed, and witnessed in the land of Benjamin, in the areas surrounding Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah—the cities of the hill country, the foothills, and the Negev—because I will restore them from captivity, declares the LORD.”
The voice of joy, and the voice of
gladness, the voice of the
bridegroom, and the voice of the
bride, the voice of them that shall say, Praise the LORD of hosts: for the LORD is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: and of them that shall bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the LORD. For I will cause to return the captivity of the land, as at the first, saith the LORD.
the
sounds of joy and
gladness, the voices of the
bride and
bridegroom, and the voices of those bringing
thank offerings into the house of the LORD, saying: ‘Give
thanks to the LORD of Hosts, for the LORD is good; His loving devotion endures
forever.’ For I will restore the land from captivity as in former times, says the LORD.
In the cities of the mountains, in the cities of the
vale, and in the cities of the
south, and in the land of Benjamin, and in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, shall the flocks pass again under the hands of him that telleth them, saith the LORD.
In the cities of the hill country, the foothills, and the Negev, in the land of Benjamin and the cities surrounding Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, the flocks will again pass under the hands of the one who counts them, says the LORD.
So
Zedekiah the king
sware secretly unto Jeremiah, saying, As the LORD liveth, that made us this
soul, I will not put thee to death, neither will I give thee into the hand of these men that seek thy life.
But King
Zedekiah swore secretly to Jeremiah, “As surely as the LORD lives, who has given us this life, I will not kill you, nor will I deliver you into the hands of these men who are seeking your life.”
Then said Jeremiah unto
Zedekiah, Thus saith the LORD, the God of hosts, the God of Israel; If thou
wilt assuredly go forth unto the king of Babylon’s princes, then thy
soul shall live, and this city shall not be burned with fire; and thou shalt live, and thine house:
Then Jeremiah said to
Zedekiah, “This is what the LORD God of Hosts, the God of Israel, says: ‘If you indeed surrender to the officers of the king of Babylon, then you will live, this city will not be burned down, and you and your household will
survive.
But Jeremiah said, They shall not deliver thee. Obey, I
beseech thee, the voice of the LORD, which I speak unto thee: so it shall be well unto thee, and thy
soul shall live.
“They will not hand you over,” Jeremiah replied. “Obey the voice of the LORD in what I am telling you, that it may go well with you and you may live.
Saying, No; but we will go into the land of Egypt, where we shall see no war, nor hear the
sound of the
trumpet, nor have hunger of bread; and there will we dwell:
and if you say, ‘No, but we will go to the land of Egypt and live there, where we will not see war or hear the sound of the ram’s horn or hunger for bread,’
Therefore now thus saith the LORD, the God of hosts, the God of Israel; Wherefore commit ye this great evil against your
souls, to cut off from you man and woman, child and
suckling, out of Judah, to leave you none to remain;
So now, this is what the LORD God of Hosts, the God of Israel, says: Why are you doing such great
harm to
yourselves by cutting off from Judah man and woman, child and infant, leaving
yourselves without a
remnant?
Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will give Pharaoh-hophra king of Egypt into the hand of his enemies, and into the hand of them that seek his life; as I gave
Zedekiah king of Judah into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, his enemy, and that
sought his life.
This is what the LORD says: Behold, I will deliver Pharaoh Hophra king of Egypt into the hands of his enemies who seek his life, just as I delivered
Zedekiah king of Judah into the hand of
Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, the enemy who was seeking his life.”
At the noise of the stamping of the
hoofs of his strong horses, at the
rushing of his
chariots, and at the
rumbling of his wheels, the fathers shall not look back to their children for feebleness of hands;
Therefore mine heart shall
sound for Moab like pipes, and mine heart shall
sound like pipes for the men of Kir-heres: because the riches that he hath
gotten are perished.
Therefore My heart laments like a
flute for Moab; it laments like a
flute for the men of Kir-heres, because the wealth they acquired has perished.
Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will cause an
alarm of war to be heard in Rabbah of the
Ammonites; and it shall be a
desolate heap, and her daughters shall be burned with fire: then shall Israel be heir unto them that were his heirs, saith the LORD.
Therefore, behold, the days are coming, declares the LORD, when I will
sound the battle cry against Rabbah of the
Ammonites. It will become a
heap of ruins, and its villages will be burned. Then Israel will drive out their dispossessors, says the LORD.
The earth is moved at the noise of their fall, at the cry the noise thereof was heard in the Red sea.
At the
sound of their fall the earth will
quake; their cry will resound to the Red Sea.
And I will bring Israel again to his
habitation, and he shall feed on
Carmel and
Bashan, and his
soul shall be satisfied upon mount Ephraim and
Gilead.
I will return Israel to his pasture, and he will
graze on
Carmel and
Bashan; his
soul will be satisfied on the hills of Ephraim and
Gilead.
In those days, and in that time, saith the LORD, the iniquity of Israel shall be
sought for, and there shall be none; and the sins of Judah, and they shall not be found: for I will
pardon them whom I reserve.
In those days and at that time, declares the LORD, a search will be made for Israel’s guilt, but there will be none, and for Judah’s sins, but they will not be found; for I will
forgive the
remnant I preserve.
A sound of battle is in the land, and of great destruction.
“The noise of battle is in the land— the noise of great destruction.
At the noise of the taking of Babylon the earth is moved, and the cry is heard among the nations.
At the
sound of Babylon’s capture the earth will
quake; a cry will be heard among the nations.
Flee out of the midst of Babylon, and deliver every man his
soul: be not cut off in her iniquity; for this is the time of the LORD’S
vengeance; he will render unto her a recompence.
Flee from Babylon! Escape with your lives! Do not be destroyed in her punishment. For this is the time of the LORD’s
vengeance; He will pay her what she deserves.
My people, go ye out of the midst of her, and deliver ye every man his soul from the fierce anger of the LORD.
Come out of her, My people! Save your lives, each of you, from the fierce anger of the LORD.
A sound of a cry cometh from Babylon, and great destruction from the land of the Chaldeans:
“The sound of a cry comes from Babylon, the sound of great destruction from the land of the Chaldeans!
All her people
sigh, they seek bread; they have given their pleasant things for meat to
relieve the
soul: see, O LORD, and consider; for I am become
vile.
All her people
groan as they search for bread. They have traded their treasures for food to keep themselves alive. Look, O LORD, and consider, for I have become
despised.
For these things I
weep; mine eye, mine eye runneth down with water, because the comforter that should
relieve my
soul is far from me: my children are
desolate, because the enemy prevailed.
For these things I
weep; my eyes flow with tears. For there is no one nearby to comfort me, no one to revive my
soul. My children are destitute because the enemy has prevailed.
I called for my lovers, but they
deceived me: my priests and mine elders gave up the ghost in the city, while they
sought their meat to
relieve their
souls.
I called out to my lovers, but they have
betrayed me. My priests and elders perished in the city while they searched for food to keep themselves alive.
They say to their mothers, Where is corn and wine? when they
swooned as the wounded in the streets of the city, when their
soul was poured out into their mothers’
bosom.
They cry out to their mothers: “Where is the grain and wine?” as they
faint like the wounded in the streets of the city, as their lives
fade away in the arms of their mothers.
And thou hast removed my
soul far off from peace: I
forgat prosperity.
My soul has been deprived of peace; I have forgotten what prosperity is.
My
soul hath them still in
remembrance, and is humbled in me.
Surely my soul remembers and is humbled within me.
The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.
“The LORD is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in Him.”
The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.
The LORD is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him.
Mine eye affecteth mine heart because of all the daughters of my city.
My eyes bring grief to my soul because of all the daughters of my city.
O Lord, thou hast
pleaded the causes of my
soul; thou hast redeemed my life.
You defend my cause, O Lord; You
redeem my life.
And when they went, I heard the noise of their wings, like the noise of great waters, as the voice of the
Almighty, the voice of speech, as the noise of an host: when they stood, they let down their wings.
When the creatures moved, I heard the
sound of their wings like the
roar of many waters, like the voice of the
Almighty, like the
tumult of an army. When they stood still, they lowered their wings.
Then the spirit took me up, and I heard behind me a voice of a great
rushing, saying, Blessed be the glory of the LORD from his place.
Then the Spirit lifted me up, and I heard a great
rumbling sound behind me: ‘Blessed be the glory of the LORD in His dwelling place!’
I heard also the noise of the wings of the living creatures that touched one another, and the noise of the wheels over against them, and a noise of a great
rushing.
It was the
sound of the wings of the living creatures
brushing against one another and the
sound of the wheels beside them, a great
rumbling sound.
Yet if thou
warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy
soul.
But if you
warn a wicked man and he does not turn from his wickedness and his wicked way, he will die in his iniquity, but you will have saved
yourself.
Nevertheless if thou
warn the righteous man, that the righteous sin not, and he
doth not sin, he shall surely live, because he is
warned; also thou hast delivered thy
soul.
But if you
warn the righteous man not to sin, and he does not sin, he will indeed live because he
heeded your
warning, and you will have saved
yourself.”
Then said I,
Ah Lord GOD! behold, my
soul hath not been
polluted: for from my youth up even till now have I not eaten of that which dieth of itself, or is
torn in pieces; neither came there
abominable flesh into my mouth.
“
Ah, Lord GOD,” I said, “I have never
defiled myself. From my youth until now I have not eaten anything found dead or
mauled by wild beasts. No unclean meat has ever entered my mouth.”
The morning is come unto thee, O thou that dwellest in the land: the time is come, the day of trouble is near, and not the sounding again of the mountains.
Doom has come to you, O inhabitants of the land. The time has come; the day is near; there is
panic on the mountains instead of shouts of joy.
They shall cast their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be removed: their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the LORD: they shall not satisfy their
souls, neither fill their
bowels: because it is the stumblingblock of their iniquity.
They will throw their silver into the streets, and their gold will seem unclean. Their silver and gold cannot save them in the day of the wrath of the LORD. They cannot satisfy their appetites or fill their stomachs with wealth, for it became the
stumbling block that brought their iniquity.
Now the cherubims stood on the right side of the house, when the man went in; and the cloud filled the inner court.
Now when the man went in, the
cherubim were standing on the
south side of the temple, and a cloud filled the inner court.
And the
sound of the cherubims’ wings was heard even to the outer court, as the voice of the
Almighty God when he speaketh.
The
sound of the wings of the
cherubim could be heard as far as the outer court, like the voice of God
Almighty when He speaks.
And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD;
Woe to the women that
sew pillows to all armholes, and make
kerchiefs upon the head of every
stature to
hunt souls! Will ye
hunt the
souls of my people, and will ye save the
souls alive that come unto you?
and tell them that this is what the Lord GOD says:
Woe to the women who
sew magic charms on their wrists and make veils for the heads of people of every height, in order to
ensnare their
souls. Will you
ensnare the
souls of My people but preserve your own?
And will ye
pollute me among my people for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread, to
slay the
souls that should not die, and to save the
souls alive that should not live, by your lying to my people that hear your lies?
You have
profaned Me among My people for handfuls of barley and scraps of bread. By lying to My people who would
listen, you have killed those who should not have died and
spared those who should not have lived.
Wherefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against your
pillows,
wherewith ye there
hunt the
souls to make them fly, and I will
tear them from your arms, and will let the
souls go, even the
souls that ye
hunt to make them fly.
Therefore this is what the Lord GOD says: See, I am against the magic charms with which you
ensnare souls like birds, and I will
tear them from your arms. So I will free the
souls you have ensnared like birds.
Though these three men,
Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, they should deliver but their own
souls by their righteousness, saith the Lord GOD.
then even if these three men—
Noah, Daniel, and Job—were in it, their righteousness could deliver only themselves, declares the Lord GOD.
Though
Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, they shall deliver neither son nor daughter; they shall but deliver their own
souls by their righteousness.
then as surely as I live, declares the Lord GOD, even if
Noah, Daniel, and Job were in it, they could not deliver their own sons or daughters. Their righteousness could deliver only themselves.
And thine elder sister is Samaria, she and her daughters that dwell at thy left hand: and thy younger sister, that dwelleth at thy right hand, is
Sodom and her daughters.
Your older sister was Samaria, who lived with her daughters to your north; and your younger sister was
Sodom, who lived with her daughters to your
south.
What mean ye, that ye use this
proverb concerning the land of Israel, saying, The fathers have eaten
sour grapes, and the children’s teeth are set on edge?
“What do you people mean by
quoting this
proverb about the land of Israel: ‘The fathers have eaten
sour grapes, and the teeth of the children are set on edge’?
Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.
Behold, every soul belongs to Me; both father and son are Mine. The soul who sins is the one who will die.
The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.
The soul who sins is the one who will die. A son will not bear the iniquity of his father, and a father will not bear the iniquity of his son. The righteousness of the righteous man will fall upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked man will fall upon him.
Again, when the wicked man turneth away from his wickedness that he hath committed, and doeth that which is lawful and right, he shall save his soul alive.
But if a wicked man turns from the wickedness he has committed and does what is just and right, he will save his life.
Son of man, set thy face toward the
south, and drop thy word toward the
south, and
prophesy against the forest of the
south field;
“Son of man, set your face toward the
south,
preach against it, and
prophesy against the forest of the Negev.
And say to the forest of the
south, Hear the word of the LORD; Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will
kindle a fire in thee, and it shall
devour every green tree in thee, and every dry tree: the flaming flame shall not be
quenched, and all faces from the
south to the north shall be burned therein.
Say to the forest of the Negev: Hear the word of the LORD! This is what the Lord GOD says: I am about to
ignite in you a fire, and it will
devour all your trees, both green and dry. The
blazing flame will not be
quenched, and by it every face from
south to north will be
scorched.
Seeing then that I will cut off from thee the righteous and the wicked, therefore shall my sword go forth out of his
sheath against all flesh from the
south to the north:
Because I will cut off both the righteous and the wicked, My sword will be
unsheathed against
everyone from
south to north.
There is a
conspiracy of her prophets in the midst thereof, like a
roaring lion
ravening the prey; they have
devoured souls; they have taken the
treasure and precious things; they have made her many widows in the midst thereof.
The
conspiracy of the princes in her midst is like a
roaring lion
tearing its prey. They
devour the people, seize the treasures and precious things, and multiply the widows within her.
Her princes in the midst thereof are like
wolves ravening the prey, to shed blood, and to destroy
souls, to get
dishonest gain.
And I
sought for a man among them, that should make up the
hedge, and stand in the
gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.
I searched for a man among them to repair the wall and stand in the
gap before Me on behalf of the land, so that I should not destroy it. But I found no one.
And a voice of a multitude being at ease was with her: and with the men of the common sort were brought
Sabeans from the wilderness, which put bracelets upon their hands, and beautiful crowns upon their heads.
accompanied by the
sound of a carefree crowd. Drunkards were brought in from the desert along with men from the
rabble, who put bracelets on your wrists and beautiful crowns on your head.
Speak unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will
profane my sanctuary, the
excellency of your strength, the desire of your eyes, and that which your
soul pitieth; and your sons and your daughters whom ye have left shall fall by the sword.
Tell the house of Israel that this is what the Lord GOD says: ‘I am about to
desecrate My sanctuary, the pride of your power, the desire of your eyes, and the delight of your
soul. And the sons and daughters you left behind will fall by the sword.’
Also, thou son of man, shall it not be in the day when I take from them their strength, the joy of their glory, the desire of their eyes, and that
whereupon they set their minds, their sons and their daughters,
And you, son of man, know that on the day I take away their
stronghold, their pride and joy—the desire of their eyes which
uplifted their
souls—and their sons and daughters as well,
Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because the Philistines have dealt by
revenge, and have taken
vengeance with a
despiteful heart, to destroy it for the old hatred;
This is what the Lord GOD says: ‘Because the Philistines acted in
vengeance, taking
vengeance with
malice of
soul to destroy Judah with ancient hostility,
And I will cause the noise of thy songs to cease; and the sound of thy harps shall be no more heard.
So I will silence the sound of your songs, and the music of your lyres will no longer be heard.
Thus saith the Lord GOD to Tyrus; Shall not the isles
shake at the
sound of thy fall, when the wounded cry, when the slaughter is made in the midst of thee?
This is what the Lord GOD says to Tyre: ‘Will not the coastlands
quake at the
sound of your
downfall, when the wounded
groan at the slaughter in your midst?
I will make thee a terror, and thou shalt be no more: though thou be sought for, yet shalt thou never be found again, saith the Lord GOD.
I will make you an object of
horror, and you will be no more. You will be
sought, but will never be found,’ declares the Lord GOD.”
The suburbs shall
shake at the
sound of the cry of thy pilots.
And they shall make themselves utterly
bald for thee, and
gird them with
sackcloth, and they shall
weep for thee with bitterness of heart and bitter
wailing.
I made the nations to
shake at the
sound of his fall, when I cast him down to
hell with them that descend into the pit: and all the trees of
Eden, the choice and best of
Lebanon, all that drink water, shall be comforted in the
nether parts of the earth.
I made the nations
quake at the
sound of its
downfall, when I cast it down to
Sheol with those who descend to the Pit. Then all the trees of
Eden, the choicest and best of
Lebanon, all the well-watered trees, were
consoled in the earth below.
Then
whosoever heareth the
sound of the
trumpet, and taketh not
warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head.
Then if
anyone hears the
sound of the horn but fails to
heed the
warning, and the sword comes and takes him away, his blood will be on his own head.
He heard the
sound of the
trumpet, and took not
warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh
warning shall deliver his
soul.
Since he heard the
sound of the horn but failed to
heed the
warning, his blood will be on his own head. If he had
heeded the
warning, he would have saved his life.
Nevertheless, if thou
warn the wicked of his way to turn from it; if he do not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy
soul.
But if you
warn the wicked man to turn from his way, and he does not turn from it, he will die in his iniquity, but you will have saved your life.
The diseased have ye not strengthened, neither have ye
healed that which was sick, neither have ye bound up that which was broken, neither have ye brought again that which was driven away, neither have ye
sought that which was lost; but with force and with cruelty have ye ruled them.
You have not strengthened the weak,
healed the sick, bound up the injured, brought back the strays, or searched for the lost. Instead, you have ruled them with violence and cruelty.
In the visions of God brought he me into the land of Israel, and set me upon a very high mountain, by which was as the frame of a city on the south.
In visions of God He took me to the land of Israel and set me on a very high mountain, on whose southern slope was a structure that resembled a city.
After that he brought me toward the south, and behold a gate toward the south: and he measured the posts thereof and the arches thereof according to these measures.
Then he led me to the
south side, and I saw a
gateway facing
south. He measured its side pillars and
portico, and they had the same measurements as the others.
And there was a gate in the inner court toward the south: and he measured from gate to gate toward the south an hundred cubits.
The inner court also had a gate facing
south, and he measured the distance from
gateway to
gateway toward the
south to be a hundred cubits.
And he brought me to the inner court by the south gate: and he measured the south gate according to these measures;
Next he brought me into the inner court through the south gate, and he measured the south gate; it had the same measurements as the others.
And without the inner gate were the chambers of the singers in the inner court, which was at the side of the north gate; and their prospect was toward the south: one at the side of the east gate having the prospect toward the north.
Outside the inner gate, within the inner court, were two chambers, one beside the north gate and facing south, and another beside the south gate and facing north.
And he said unto me, This chamber, whose prospect is toward the south, is for the priests, the keepers of the charge of the house.
Then the man said to me: “The chamber that faces south is for the priests who keep charge of the temple,
And the doors of the side chambers were toward the place that was left, one door toward the north, and another door toward the south: and the breadth of the place that was left was five cubits round about.
The side rooms opened into this area, with one entrance on the north and another on the south. The open area was five cubits wide all around.
The chambers were in the thickness of the wall of the court toward the east, over against the separate place, and over against the building.
On the
south side along the length of the wall of the outer court were chambers adjoining the
courtyard and opposite the building,
And according to the doors of the chambers that were toward the south was a door in the head of the way, even the way directly before the wall toward the east, as one entereth into them.
And corresponding to the doors of the chambers that were facing south, there was a door in front of the walkway that was parallel to the wall extending eastward.
Then said he unto me, The north chambers and the
south chambers, which are before the separate place, they be holy chambers, where the priests that approach unto the LORD shall eat the most holy things: there shall they lay the most holy things, and the meat offering, and the sin offering, and the
trespass offering; for the place is holy.
Then the man said to me, “The north and
south chambers facing the temple
courtyard are the holy chambers where the priests who approach the LORD will eat the most holy offerings. There they will place the most holy offerings—the grain offerings, the sin offerings, and the guilt offerings—for the place is holy.
He measured the south side, five hundred reeds, with the measuring reed.
He measured the south side to be five hundred cubits long.
But when the people of the land shall come before the LORD in the solemn feasts, he that entereth in by the way of the north gate to worship shall go out by the way of the south gate; and he that entereth by the way of the south gate shall go forth by the way of the north gate: he shall not return by the way of the gate whereby he came in, but shall go forth over against it.
When the people of the land come before the LORD at the appointed feasts,
whoever enters by the north gate to worship must go out by the
south gate, and
whoever enters by the
south gate must go out by the north gate. No one is to return through the gate by which he entered, but each must go out by the opposite gate.
Afterward he brought me again unto the door of the house; and, behold, waters issued out from under the
threshold of the house eastward: for the
forefront of the house stood toward the east, and the waters came down from under from the right side of the house, at the
south side of the altar.
Then the man brought me back to the entrance of the temple, and I saw water flowing from under the
threshold of the temple toward the east (for the temple faced east). The water was coming down from under the
south side of the temple,
south of the altar.
Then brought he me out of the way of the gate northward, and led me about the way without unto the utter gate by the way that looketh eastward; and, behold, there ran out waters on the right side.
Next he brought me out through the north gate and led me around the outside to the outer gate facing east, and there I saw the water
trickling out from the
south side.
And the
south side
southward, from Tamar even to the waters of
strife in Kadesh, the river to the great sea. And this is the
south side
southward.
On the
south side it will run from Tamar to the waters of Meribath-kadesh, and along the
Brook of Egypt to the Great Sea. This will be the
southern boundary.
And for them, even for the priests, shall be this holy
oblation; toward the north five and twenty thousand in length, and toward the west ten thousand in breadth, and toward the east ten thousand in breadth, and toward the
south five and twenty thousand in length: and the sanctuary of the LORD shall be in the midst thereof.
This will be the holy portion for the priests. It will be 25,000 cubits long on the north side, 10,000 cubits wide on the west side, 10,000 cubits wide on the east side, and 25,000 cubits long on the south side. In the center will be the sanctuary of the LORD.

As soon as you hear the
sound of the horn,
flute,
zither,
lyre,
harp, pipes, and all kinds of music, you must fall down and worship the golden statue that King
Nebuchadnezzar has set up.
Therefore at that time, when all the people heard the
sound of the
cornet,
flute,
harp,
sackbut,
psaltery, and all kinds of musick, all the people, the nations, and the languages, fell down and worshipped the golden image that
Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up.
Therefore, as soon as all the people heard the
sound of the horn,
flute,
zither,
lyre,
harp, and all kinds of music, the people of every nation and language would fall down and worship the golden statue that King
Nebuchadnezzar had set up.
