insult You have fallen on me.
For I have
eaten ashes like bread, and mingled my drink with
weeping,
For I have eaten ashes like bread and mixed my drink with tears

eaten in secret is pleasant.

eaten in secret is
tasty!”

You will
vomit up what little you have
eaten and waste your pleasant words.
I am come into my garden, my sister, my
spouse: I have gathered my
myrrh with my
spice; I have
eaten my
honeycomb with my honey; I have
drunk my wine with my milk: eat, O friends; drink,
yea, drink abundantly, O beloved.
I have come to my garden, my sister, my
bride; I have gathered my
myrrh with my
spice. I have

drunk my wine with my milk. Eat, O friends, and drink; drink freely, O beloved.
The LORD will enter into judgment with the ancients of his people, and the princes thereof: for ye have
eaten up the
vineyard; the
spoil of the poor is in your houses.
The LORD brings this charge against the elders and leaders of His people: “You have
devoured the
vineyard; the
plunder of the poor is in your houses.
And now go to; I will tell you what I will do to my
vineyard: I will take away the
hedge thereof, and it shall be
eaten up; and break down the wall thereof, and it shall be
trodden down:
Now I will tell you what I am about to do to My
vineyard: I will take away its
hedge, and it will be consumed; I will
tear down its wall, and it will be
trampled.
But yet in it shall be a tenth, and it shall return, and shall be
eaten: as a
teil tree, and as an oak, whose substance is in them, when they cast their leaves: so the holy seed shall be the substance thereof.
And though a tenth remains in the land, it will be burned again. As the
terebinth and oak leave stumps when felled, so the holy seed will be a
stump in the land.”

yea, also I have
baked bread upon the coals thereof; I have
roasted flesh, and
eaten it: and shall I make the residue thereof an
abomination? shall I fall down to the stock of a tree?
And no one considers in his heart, no one has the knowledge or insight to say, “I burned half of it in the fire, and I
baked bread on its coals; I
roasted meat and I
ate. Shall I make something
detestable with the rest of it? Shall I bow down to a block of wood?”
Pour out thy
fury upon the heathen that know thee not, and upon the families that call not on thy name: for they have
eaten up Jacob, and
devoured him, and consumed him, and have made his
habitation desolate.
Pour out Your wrath on the nations that do not acknowledge You, and on the families that do not call on Your name. For they have
devoured Jacob; they have consumed him and finished him off; they have
devastated his homeland.
One
basket had very good figs, even like the figs that are first ripe: and the other
basket had very
naughty figs, which could not be
eaten, they were so bad.
One
basket had very good figs, like those that
ripen early, but the other
basket contained very poor figs, so bad they could not be
eaten.
Then said the LORD unto me, What seest thou, Jeremiah? And I said, Figs; the good figs, very good; and the evil, very evil, that cannot be eaten, they are so evil.
“Jeremiah,” the LORD asked, “what do you see?” “Figs!” I replied. “The good figs are very good, but the bad figs are very bad, so bad they cannot be eaten.”
And as the evil figs, which cannot be
eaten, they are so evil; surely thus saith the LORD, So will I give
Zedekiah the king of Judah, and his princes, and the residue of Jerusalem, that remain in this land, and them that dwell in the land of Egypt:
But like the bad figs, so bad they cannot be
eaten,’ says the LORD, ‘so will I deal with
Zedekiah king of Judah, his officials, and the
remnant of Jerusalem—those remaining in this land and those living in the land of Egypt.
Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Behold, I will send upon them the sword, the famine, and the
pestilence, and will make them like
vile figs, that cannot be
eaten, they are so evil.
this is what the LORD of Hosts says: “I will send against them sword and famine and plague, and I will make them like
rotten figs, so bad they cannot be
eaten.
In those days they shall say no more, The fathers have
eaten a
sour grape, and the children’s teeth are set on edge.
“In those days, it will no longer be said: ‘The fathers have
eaten sour grapes, and the teeth of the children are set on edge.’
Then said I,
Ah Lord GOD! behold, my soul hath not been
polluted: for from my youth up even till now have I not
eaten of that which dieth of itself, or is
torn in pieces; neither came there
abominable flesh into my mouth.
“
Ah, Lord GOD,” I said, “I have never
defiled myself. From my youth until now I have not
eaten anything found dead or
mauled by wild beasts. No unclean meat has ever entered my mouth.”
What mean ye, that ye use this
proverb concerning the land of Israel, saying, The fathers have
eaten sour grapes, and the children’s teeth are set on edge?

eaten sour grapes, and the teeth of the children are set on edge’?
And hath not
eaten upon the mountains, neither hath lifted up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, neither hath
defiled his neighbour’s wife, neither hath come near to a
menstruous woman,
He does not eat at the mountain or look to the idols of the house of Israel. He does not
defile his
neighbor’s wife or approach a woman during her period.
And that doeth not any of those duties, but even hath
eaten upon the mountains, and
defiled his neighbour’s wife,
though the father has done none of them: Indeed, the son eats at the mountain and defiles his
neighbor’s wife.
That hath not
eaten upon the mountains, neither hath lifted up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, hath not
defiled his neighbour’s wife,
He does not eat at the mountain or look to the idols of the house of Israel. He does not
defile his
neighbor’s wife.
Seemeth it a small thing unto you to have
eaten up the good pasture, but ye must
tread down with your feet the residue of your pastures? and to have
drunk of the deep waters, but ye must foul the residue with your feet?
Is it not enough for you to feed on the good pasture? Must you also
trample the rest of the pasture with your feet? Is it not enough for you to drink the clear waters? Must you also
muddy the rest with your feet?
On the
fourteenth day of the first month you are to observe the

plowed wickedness, ye have
reaped iniquity; ye have
eaten the fruit of lies: because thou
didst trust in thy way, in the multitude of thy mighty men.

reaped injustice; you have
eaten the fruit of lies. Because you have trusted in your own way and in the multitude of your mighty men,
And I will restore to you the years that the
locust hath
eaten, the
cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the
palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.
And it came to pass, that when they had made an end of eating the grass of the land, then I said, O Lord GOD,
forgive, I
beseech thee: by whom shall Jacob arise? for he is small.

eaten every green plant in the land, I said, “Lord GOD, please
forgive! How will Jacob
survive, since he is so small?”

eaten and
drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.

ate and
drank with you, and you taught in our streets.’
And will not rather say unto him, Make ready
wherewith I may
sup, and
gird thyself, and serve me, till I have
eaten and
drunken; and afterward thou shalt eat and drink?
Instead, won’t he tell him, ‘Prepare my meal and dress
yourself to serve me while I eat and drink; and afterward you may eat and drink’?

thanks.
And he became very
hungry, and would have
eaten: but while they made ready, he fell into a
trance,
He became
hungry and wanted something to eat, but while the meal was being prepared, he fell into a
trance.
