yea, he hath neither child nor brother: yet is there no
end of all his labour; neither is his eye satisfied with riches; neither saith he, For whom do I labour, and
bereave my soul of good? This is also vanity,
yea, it is a
sore travail.

chariots.

Shear-jashub to meet
Ahaz at the

pool, on the road to the
Launderer’s Field,

end. He will reign on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish and

end of heaven, even the LORD, and the weapons of his
indignation, to destroy the whole land.

That thou shalt take up this
proverb against the king of Babylon, and say, How hath the
oppressor ceased! the golden city ceased!

oppressor has ceased, and how his
fury has
ended!
Let mine outcasts dwell with thee, Moab; be thou a
covert to them from the face of the
spoiler: for the
extortioner is at an
end, the
spoiler ceaseth, the oppressors are consumed out of the land.
Let my fugitives stay with you; be a refuge for Moab from the destroyer.” When the
oppressor has gone, destruction has ceased, and the oppressors have
vanished from the land,
And
gladness is taken away, and joy out of the
plentiful field; and in the vineyards there shall be no singing, neither shall there be
shouting: the treaders shall
tread out no wine in their presses; I have made their
vintage shouting to cease.
Joy and
gladness are removed from the
orchard; no one sings or shouts in the vineyards. No one tramples the grapes in the winepresses; I have put an
end to the
cheering.
A
dire vision is declared to me: “The
traitor still betrays, and the destroyer still destroys. Go up, O
Elam! Lay siege, O Media! I will put an
end to all her
groaning.”
And it shall come to pass in that day, that Tyre shall be forgotten seventy years, according to the days of one king: after the
end of seventy years shall Tyre sing as an
harlot.
At that time Tyre will be forgotten for seventy years—the span of a king’s life. But at the
end of seventy years, it will happen to Tyre as in the song of the
harlot:
And it shall come to pass after the
end of seventy years, that the LORD will visit Tyre, and she shall turn to her
hire, and shall commit
fornication with all the kingdoms of the world upon the face of the earth.
And at the
end of seventy years, the LORD will restore Tyre. Then she will return to
hire as a
prostitute and sell herself to all the kingdoms on the face of the earth.

ends of the earth.
You have enlarged the nation, O LORD; You have enlarged the nation. You have gained glory for
Yourself; You have extended all the borders of the land.

endlessly threshed. Though the wheels of the
cart roll over it, the horses do not
crush it.
Woe to you, O destroyer never destroyed, O
traitor never
betrayed! When you have finished destroying, you will be destroyed. When you have finished
betraying, you will be
betrayed.
Mine age is departed, and is removed from me as a
shepherd’s tent: I have cut off like a
weaver my life: he will cut me off with pining sickness: from day even to night
wilt thou make an
end of me.
My dwelling has been
picked up and removed from me like a
shepherd’s tent. I have rolled up my life like a
weaver; He cuts me off from the
loom; from day until night You make an
end of me.
I reckoned till morning, that, as a lion, so will he break all my bones: from day even to night
wilt thou make an
end of me.
I composed myself until the morning. Like a lion He breaks all my bones; from day until night You make an end of me.
Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the
everlasting God, the LORD, the
Creator of the
ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is
weary? there is no searching of his understanding.

everlasting God, the
Creator of the
ends of the earth. He will not grow
tired or
weary; His understanding is beyond searching out.

ends of the earth
tremble. They approach and come forward.

Let them bring them forth, and
shew us what shall happen: let them
shew the former things, what they be, that we may consider them, and know the latter
end of them; or declare us things for to come.
“Let them come and tell us what will happen. Tell the former things, so that we may
reflect on them and know the outcome. Or
announce to us what is coming.

I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back: bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the earth;

afar, and My daughters from the
ends of the earth—
But Israel shall be saved in the LORD with an
everlasting salvation: ye shall not be
ashamed nor confounded world without
end.

Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:

end from the beginning, and ancient times from what is still to come. I say, ‘My purpose will stand, and all My good pleasure I will
accomplish.’
And thou saidst, I shall be a lady for ever: so that thou
didst not lay these things to thy heart, neither
didst remember the latter
end of it.

forever.’ You did not take these things to heart or consider their outcome.
Go ye forth of Babylon,
flee ye from the Chaldeans, with a voice of singing declare ye, tell this, utter it even to the
end of the earth; say ye, The LORD hath redeemed his servant Jacob.
Leave Babylon!
Flee from the Chaldeans! Declare it with a
shout of joy,
proclaim it, let it go out to the
ends of the earth, saying, “The LORD has redeemed His servant Jacob!”
And he said, It is a light thing that thou shouldest be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles, that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth.
He says: “It is not enough for You to be My Servant, to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the protected ones of Israel. I will also make You a light for the nations, to bring My salvation to the ends of the earth.”
The LORD hath made bare his holy arm in the eyes of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God.

Thy sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the LORD shall be thine
everlasting light, and the days of thy
mourning shall be
ended.

wane; for the LORD will be your
everlasting light, and the days of your sorrow will cease.

end of the world, Say ye to the daughter of
Zion, Behold, thy salvation cometh; behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him.

ends of the earth, “Say to Daughter
Zion: See, your
Savior comes! Look, His reward is with Him, and His
recompense goes before Him.”
For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain.

endure before Me,” declares the LORD, “so your descendants and your name will
endure.
and through the days of
Jehoiakim son of
Josiah king of Judah, until the fifth month of the
eleventh year of
Zedekiah son of
Josiah king of Judah, when the people of Jerusalem went into exile.
Will he reserve his anger for ever? will he keep it to the end? Behold, thou hast spoken and done evil things as thou couldest.
Will He be
angry forever? Will He be
indignant to the
end?’ This you have spoken, but you keep doing all the evil you can.”
For thus hath the LORD said, The whole land shall be
desolate; yet will I not make a full
end.
For this is what the LORD says: “The whole land will be
desolate, but I will not finish its destruction.
Go ye up upon her walls, and destroy; but make not a full end: take away her battlements; for they are not the LORD’S.
Go up through her vineyards and
ravage them, but do not finish them off. Strip off her branches, for they do not belong to the LORD.
Nevertheless in those days, saith the LORD, I will not make a full end with you.
“Yet even in those days,” declares the LORD, “I will not make a full end of you.
Fear ye not me? saith the LORD: will ye not
tremble at my presence, which have placed the sand for the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it: and though the waves thereof
toss themselves, yet can they not prevail; though they
roar, yet can they not pass over it?
Do you not fear Me?” declares the LORD. “Do you not
tremble before Me, the One who set the sand as the boundary for the sea, an
enduring barrier it cannot cross? The waves
surge, but they cannot prevail. They
roar but cannot cross it.
The prophets
prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the
end thereof?
The prophets
prophesy falsely, and the priests rule by their own authority. My people love it so, but what will you do in the
end?
Thus saith the LORD, Behold, a people cometh from the north country, and a great nation shall be raised from the sides of the earth.
This is what the LORD says: “Behold, an army is coming from the land of the north; a great nation is
stirred up from the
ends of the earth.

everlasting king: at his wrath the earth shall
tremble, and the nations shall not be able to
abide his
indignation.
But the LORD is the true God; He is the living God and eternal King. The earth quakes at His wrath, and the nations cannot
endure His
indignation.
When he uttereth his voice, there is a multitude of waters in the heavens, and he causeth the vapors to
ascend from the
ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings with rain, and bringeth forth the wind out of his treasures.
When He thunders, the waters in the heavens
roar; He causes the clouds to rise from the
ends of the earth. He generates the
lightning with the rain and brings forth the wind from His storehouses.
How long shall the land
mourn, and the herbs of every field wither, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein? the beasts are consumed, and the birds; because they said, He shall not see our last
end.
How long will the land
mourn and the grass of every field be
withered? Because of the evil of its residents, the animals and birds have been swept away, for the people have said, “He cannot see what our
end will be.”
The spoilers are come upon all high places through the wilderness: for the sword of the LORD shall
devour from the one
end of the land even to the other
end of the land: no flesh shall have peace.
Over all the barren heights in the wilderness the destroyers have come, for the sword of the LORD devours from one end of the earth to the other. No flesh has peace.
Therefore thus saith the LORD concerning the prophets that
prophesy in my name, and I sent them not, yet they say, Sword and famine shall not be in this land; By sword and famine shall those prophets be consumed.
Therefore this is what the LORD says about the prophets who
prophesy in My name: I did not send them, yet they say, ‘No sword or famine will touch this land.’ By sword and famine these very prophets will meet their
end!
O LORD, thou knowest: remember me, and visit me, and
revenge me of my persecutors; take me not away in thy
longsuffering: know that for thy sake I have suffered
rebuke.
You understand, O LORD; remember me and attend to me.
Avenge me against my persecutors. In Your
patience, do not take me away. Know that I
endure reproach for Your honor.
O LORD, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of
affliction, the Gentiles shall come unto thee from the
ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit.
O LORD, my strength and my fortress, my refuge in the day of distress, the nations will come to You from the ends of the earth, and they will say, “Our fathers inherited nothing but lies, worthless idols of no benefit at all.
As the
partridge sitteth on eggs, and hatcheth them not; so he that getteth riches, and not by right, shall leave them in the midst of his days, and at his
end shall be a
fool.
Like a
partridge hatching eggs it did not lay is the man who makes a fortune unjustly. In the middle of his days his riches will desert him, and in the
end he will be the
fool.”
Wherefore came I forth out of the
womb to see labour and sorrow, that my days should be consumed with shame?
Why did I come out of the
womb to see only trouble and sorrow, and to
end my days in shame?
