And the LORD did according to the word of Moses; and the frogs died out of the houses, out of the villages, and out of the fields.
And the LORD did as Moses requested, and the frogs in the houses, the courtyards, and the fields died.
Else, if thou
wilt not let my people go, behold, I will send swarms of
flies upon thee, and upon thy servants, and upon thy people, and into thy
houses: and the
houses of the Egyptians shall be full of swarms of
flies, and also the ground
whereon they are.
But if you will not let My people go, I will send swarms of
flies upon you and your officials and your people and your
houses. The
houses of the Egyptians and even the ground where they stand will be full of
flies.
And the LORD did so; and there came a
grievous swarm of
flies into the
house of Pharaoh, and into his servants’
houses, and into all the land of Egypt: the land was corrupted by reason of the
swarm of
flies.
And the LORD did so. Thick swarms of
flies poured into Pharaoh’s palace and into the
houses of his officials. Throughout Egypt the land was ruined by swarms of
flies.
He that feared the word of the LORD among the servants of Pharaoh made his servants and his cattle
flee into the
houses:
Those among Pharaoh’s officials who feared the word of the LORD
hurried to bring their servants and
livestock to shelter,
And they shall fill thy houses, and the houses of all thy servants, and the houses of all the Egyptians; which neither thy fathers, nor thy fathers’ fathers have seen, since the day that they were upon the earth unto this day. And he turned himself, and went out from Pharaoh.
They will fill your houses and the houses of all your officials and every Egyptian—something neither your fathers nor your grandfathers have seen since the day they came into this land.’” Then Moses turned and left Pharaoh’s presence.
Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house:
Tell the whole congregation of Israel that on the tenth day of this month each man must select a lamb for his family, one per household.
And if the household be too little for the lamb, let him and his neighbour next unto his house take it according to the number of the souls; every man according to his eating shall make your count for the lamb.
If the
household is too small for a whole lamb, they are to share with the nearest
neighbor based on the number of people, and
apportion the lamb accordingly.
And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it.
They are to take some of the blood and put it on the sides and tops of the doorframes of the houses where they eat the lambs.
And the blood shall be to you for a
token upon the
houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I
smite the land of Egypt.
The blood on the houses where you are staying will distinguish them; when I see the blood, I will pass over you. No plague will fall on you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt.
Seven days shall ye eat
unleavened bread; even the first day ye shall put away
leaven out of your
houses: for
whosoever eateth
leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel.
For seven days you must eat
unleavened bread. On the first day you are to remove the
leaven from your
houses.
Whoever eats anything
leavened from the first day through the seventh must be cut off from Israel.
Seven days shall there be no
leaven found in your
houses: for
whosoever eateth that which is
leavened, even that soul shall be cut off from the congregation of Israel, whether he be a stranger, or born in the land.
For seven days there must be no
leaven found in your
houses. If
anyone eats something
leavened, that person, whether a foreigner or native of the land, must be cut off from the congregation of Israel.
And ye shall take a
bunch of
hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the
bason, and strike the
lintel and the two side posts with the blood that is in the
bason; and none of you shall go out at the door of his
house until the morning.
Take a
cluster of
hyssop, dip it into the blood in the basin, and
brush the blood on the top and sides of the doorframe. None of you shall go out the door of his
house until morning.
For the LORD will pass through to
smite the Egyptians; and when he
seeth the blood upon the
lintel, and on the two side posts, the LORD will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your
houses to
smite you.
When the LORD passes through to strike down the Egyptians, He will see the blood on the top and sides of the doorframe and will pass over that
doorway; so He will not allow the destroyer to enter your
houses and strike you down.
That ye shall say, It is the sacrifice of the LORD’S
passover, who passed over the
houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he
smote the Egyptians, and delivered our
houses. And the people bowed the head and worshipped.
you are to reply, ‘It is the
Passover sacrifice to the LORD, who passed over the
houses of the Israelites in Egypt when He struck down the Egyptians and
spared our homes.’” Then the people bowed down and worshiped.
And Pharaoh rose up in the night, he, and all his servants, and all the Egyptians; and there was a great cry in Egypt; for there was not a house where there was not one dead.
During the night Pharaoh got up—he and all his officials and all the Egyptians—and there was loud
wailing in Egypt; for there was no
house without someone dead.
In one house shall it be eaten; thou shalt not carry forth ought of the flesh abroad out of the house; neither shall ye break a bone thereof.
It must be eaten inside one house. You are not to take any of the meat outside the house, and you may not break any of the bones.
And when a stranger shall
sojourn with thee, and will keep the
passover to the LORD, let all his males be
circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it; and he shall be as one that is born in the land: for no
uncircumcised person shall eat thereof.
And Moses said unto the people, Remember this day, in which ye came out from Egypt, out of the
house of
bondage; for by strength of hand the LORD brought you out from this place: there shall no
leavened bread be eaten.
So Moses told the people, “Remember this day, the day you came out of Egypt, out of the
house of slavery; for the LORD brought you out of it by the strength of His hand. And nothing
leavened shall be eaten.
And it shall be when thy son asketh thee in time to come, saying, What is this? that thou shalt say unto him, By strength of hand the LORD brought us out from Egypt, from the
house of
bondage:
In the future, when your son asks you, ‘What does this mean?’ you are to tell him, ‘With a mighty hand the LORD brought us out of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.
And the
house of Israel called the name thereof
Manna: and it was like
coriander seed, white; and the taste of it was like
wafers made with honey.
Now the
house of Israel called the bread
manna. It was white like
coriander seed and tasted like
wafers made with honey.
And Moses went up unto God, and the LORD called unto him out of the mountain, saying, Thus shalt thou say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel;
Then Moses went up to God, and the LORD called to him from the mountain, “This is what you are to tell the house of Jacob and explain to the sons of Israel:
I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the
house of
bondage.
“I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.
Thou shalt not
covet thy neighbour’s
house, thou shalt not
covet thy neighbour’s wife, nor his
manservant, nor his
maidservant, nor his ox, nor his
ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour’s.
If a man shall deliver unto his neighbour money or stuff to keep, and it be
stolen out of the man’s
house; if the
thief be found, let him pay double.
If a man gives his
neighbor money or goods for safekeeping and they are
stolen from the
neighbor’s
house, the
thief, if caught, must pay back double.
If the
thief be not found, then the master of the
house shall be brought unto the judges, to see whether he have put his hand unto his neighbour’s goods.
If the
thief is not found, the owner of the
house must appear before the judges to determine whether he has taken his
neighbor’s property.
The first of the firstfruits of thy land thou shalt bring into the
house of the LORD thy God. Thou shalt not
seethe a
kid in his mother’s milk.
Bring the best of the firstfruits of your soil to the
house of the LORD your God. You must not
cook a young goat in its mother’s milk.
The first of the firstfruits of thy land thou shalt bring unto the
house of the LORD thy God. Thou shalt not
seethe a
kid in his mother’s milk.
Bring the best of the firstfruits of your soil to the
house of the LORD your God. You must not
cook a young goat in its mother’s milk.”
For the cloud of the LORD was upon the tabernacle by day, and fire was on it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys.
For the cloud of the LORD was over the tabernacle by day, and fire was in the cloud by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel through all their journeys.
And Moses said unto Aaron, and unto
Eleazar and unto
Ithamar, his sons, Uncover not your heads, neither
rend your clothes; lest ye die, and lest wrath come upon all the people: but let your brethren, the whole
house of Israel,
bewail the burning which the LORD hath
kindled.
Then Moses said to Aaron and his sons
Eleazar and
Ithamar, “Do not let your hair become
disheveled and do not
tear your garments, or else you will die, and the LORD will be
angry with the whole congregation. But your brothers, the whole
house of Israel, may
mourn on account of the fire that the LORD has
ignited.
When ye be come into the land of
Canaan, which I give to you for a possession, and I put the plague of
leprosy in a
house of the land of your possession;
“When you enter the land of
Canaan, which I am giving you as your possession, and I put a
contamination of
mildew into a
house in that land,
And he that owneth the house shall come and tell the priest, saying, It seemeth to me there is as it were a plague in the house:
the owner of the
house shall come and tell the priest, ‘Something like
mildew has appeared in my
house.’
Then the priest shall command that they empty the house, before the priest go into it to see the plague, that all that is in the house be not made unclean: and afterward the priest shall go in to see the house:
The priest must order that the
house be cleared before he enters it to examine the
mildew, so that nothing in the
house will become unclean. After this, the priest shall go in to
inspect the
house.
And he shall look on the plague, and, behold, if the plague be in the walls of the
house with hollow strakes,
greenish or reddish, which in sight are lower than the wall;
He is to examine the
house, and if the
mildew on the walls consists of green or red depressions that appear to be beneath the surface of the wall,
Then the priest shall go out of the house to the door of the house, and shut up the house seven days:
the priest shall go outside the
doorway of the
house and close it up for seven days.
And the priest shall come again the seventh day, and shall look: and, behold, if the plague be spread in the walls of the house;
On the seventh day the priest is to return and
inspect the
house. If the
mildew has spread on the walls,
And he shall cause the
house to be
scraped within round about, and they shall pour out the dust that they
scrape off without the city into an unclean place:
And he shall have the inside of the
house scraped completely and the
plaster that is
scraped off
dumped into an unclean place outside the city.
And they shall take other stones, and put them in the place of those stones; and he shall take other
morter, and shall
plaister the
house.
So different stones must be obtained to replace the
contaminated ones, as well as additional mortar to replaster the
house.
And if the plague come again, and break out in the
house, after that he hath taken away the stones, and after he hath
scraped the
house, and after it is plaistered;
If the
mildew reappears in the
house after the stones have been
torn out and the
house has been
scraped and replastered,
Then the priest shall come and look, and, behold, if the plague be spread in the
house, it is a
fretting leprosy in the
house: it is unclean.
the priest must come and
inspect it. If the
mildew has spread in the
house, it is a destructive
mildew; the
house is unclean.
And he shall break down the
house, the stones of it, and the timber thereof, and all the
morter of the
house; and he shall carry them forth out of the city into an unclean place.
It must be
torn down with its stones, its timbers, and all its
plaster, and taken outside the city to an unclean place.
Moreover he that goeth into the house all the while that it is shut up shall be unclean until the even.
Anyone who enters the
house during any of the days that it is closed up will be unclean until evening.
And he that lieth in the house shall wash his clothes; and he that eateth in the house shall wash his clothes.
And
anyone who sleeps in the
house or eats in it must wash his clothes.
And if the priest shall come in, and look upon it, and, behold, the plague hath not spread in the
house, after the
house was plaistered: then the priest shall
pronounce the
house clean, because the plague is
healed.
If, however, the priest comes and inspects it, and the
mildew has not spread after the
house has been replastered, he shall
pronounce the
house clean, because the
mildew is gone.
And he shall take to
cleanse the
house two birds, and
cedar wood, and scarlet, and
hyssop:
And he shall take the
cedar wood, and the
hyssop, and the scarlet, and the living bird, and dip them in the blood of the slain bird, and in the running water, and
sprinkle the
house seven times:
Then he shall take the
cedar wood, the
hyssop, the scarlet yarn, and the live bird, dip them in the blood of the slaughtered bird and the fresh water, and
sprinkle the
house seven times.
And he shall
cleanse the
house with the blood of the bird, and with the running water, and with the living bird, and with the
cedar wood, and with the
hyssop, and with the scarlet:
And he shall
cleanse the
house with the bird’s blood, the fresh water, the live bird, the
cedar wood, the
hyssop, and the scarlet yarn.
But he shall let go the living bird out of the city into the open fields, and make an
atonement for the
house: and it shall be clean.
Finally, he is to release the live bird into the open fields outside the city. In this way he will make
atonement for the
house, and it will be clean.
And for the
leprosy of a garment, and of a
house,
for
mildew in clothing or in a
house,
And Aaron shall offer his
bullock of the sin offering, which is for himself, and make an
atonement for himself, and for his
house.
Aaron is to present the bull for his sin offering and make
atonement for himself and his
household.
And Aaron shall bring the
bullock of the sin offering, which is for himself, and shall make an
atonement for himself, and for his
house, and shall kill the
bullock of the sin offering which is for himself:
When Aaron presents the bull for his sin offering and makes
atonement for himself and his
household, he is to slaughter the bull for his own sin offering.
And there shall be no man in the tabernacle of the congregation when he goeth in to make an
atonement in the holy place, until he come out, and have made an
atonement for himself, and for his
household, and for all the congregation of Israel.
No one may be in the Tent of Meeting from the time Aaron goes in to make
atonement in the Most Holy Place until he leaves, after he has made
atonement for himself, his
household, and the whole assembly of Israel.
What man
soever there be of the
house of Israel, that killeth an ox, or lamb, or goat, in the camp, or that killeth it out of the camp,
‘
Anyone from the
house of Israel who slaughters an ox, a lamb, or a goat in the camp or outside of it
And thou shalt say unto them,
Whatsoever man there be of the
house of Israel, or of the strangers which
sojourn among you, that offereth a burnt offering of sacrifice,
Tell them that if
anyone from the
house of Israel or any foreigner living among them offers a burnt offering or a sacrifice
And
whatsoever man there be of the
house of Israel, or of the strangers that
sojourn among you, that eateth any manner of blood; I will even set my face against that soul that eateth blood, and will cut him off from among his people.
If
anyone from the
house of Israel or a foreigner living among them eats any blood, I will set My face against that person and cut him off from among his people.
But if the priest
buy any soul with his money, he shall eat of it, and he that is born in his
house: they shall eat of his meat.
But if a priest buys a slave with his own money, or if a slave is born in his household, that slave may eat his food.
But if the priest’s daughter be a widow, or
divorced, and have no child, and is returned unto her father’s
house, as in her youth, she shall eat of her father’s meat: but there shall no stranger eat thereof.
But if a priest’s daughter with no children becomes widowed or
divorced and returns to her father’s
house, she may share her father’s food as in her youth. But no outsider may share it.
Speak unto Aaron, and to his sons, and unto all the children of Israel, and say unto them,
Whatsoever he be of the
house of Israel, or of the strangers in Israel, that will offer his
oblation for all his vows, and for all his
freewill offerings, which they will offer unto the LORD for a burnt offering;
“Speak to Aaron and his sons and all the Israelites and tell them, ‘Any man of the
house of Israel or any foreign resident who presents a gift for a burnt offering to the LORD, whether to
fulfill a
vow or as a
freewill offering,
And if a man sell a dwelling
house in a walled city, then he may
redeem it within a whole year after it is sold; within a full year may he
redeem it.
If a man sells a
house in a walled city, he retains his right of
redemption until a full year after its sale; during that year it may be redeemed.
And if it be not redeemed within the space of a full year, then the house that is in the walled city shall be established for ever to him that bought it throughout his generations: it shall not go out in the jubile.
If it is not redeemed by the end of a full year, then the
house in the walled city is permanently transferred to its
buyer and his descendants. It is not to be released in the
Jubilee.
But the houses of the villages which have no wall round about them shall be counted as the fields of the country: they may be redeemed, and they shall go out in the jubile.
But
houses in villages with no walls around them are to be considered as open fields. They may be redeemed, and they shall be released in the
Jubilee.
Notwithstanding the cities of the Levites, and the
houses of the cities of their possession, may the Levites
redeem at any time.
As for the cities of the Levites, the Levites always have the right to
redeem their
houses in the cities they possess.
And if a man purchase of the Levites, then the house that was sold, and the city of his possession, shall go out in the year of jubile: for the houses of the cities of the Levites are their possession among the children of Israel.
So whatever belongs to the Levites may be redeemed—a
house sold in a city they possess—and must be released in the
Jubilee, because the
houses in the cities of the Levites are their possession among the Israelites.
And when a man shall
sanctify his
house to be holy unto the LORD, then the priest shall estimate it, whether it be good or bad: as the priest shall estimate it, so shall it stand.
Now if a man consecrates his house as holy to the LORD, then the priest shall value it either as good or bad. The price will stand just as the priest values it.
And if he that
sanctified it will
redeem his
house, then he shall add the fifth part of the money of thy
estimation unto it, and it shall be his.
But if he who consecrated his
house redeems it, he must add a fifth to the
assessed value, and it will belong to him.

“Take a census of the whole congregation of Israel by their clans and families, listing every man by name, one by one.
And with you there shall be a man of every tribe; every one head of the house of his fathers.
And one man from each tribe, the head of each family, must be there with you.

From the sons of Asher, according to the records of their clans and families, counting the names of all those twenty years of age or older who could serve in the army,

These are those that were numbered, which Moses and Aaron numbered, and the princes of Israel, being twelve men: each one was for the house of his fathers.
These were the men numbered by Moses and Aaron, with the assistance of the twelve leaders of Israel, each one representing his family.
So were all those that were numbered of the children of Israel, by the house of their fathers, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war in Israel;
So all the Israelites twenty years of age or older who could serve in Israel’s army were counted according to their families.
Every man of the children of Israel shall pitch by his own standard, with the
ensign of their father’s
house: far off about the tabernacle of the congregation shall they pitch.
“The Israelites are to camp around the Tent of Meeting at a distance from it, each man under his standard, with the banners of his family.
These are those which were numbered of the children of Israel by the house of their fathers: all those that were numbered of the camps throughout their hosts were six hundred thousand and three thousand and five hundred and fifty.
These are the Israelites, numbered according to their families. The total of those counted in the camps, by their divisions, was 603,550.
And the children of Israel did according to all that the LORD commanded Moses: so they pitched by their standards, and so they set forward, every one after their families, according to the house of their fathers.
So the Israelites did everything the LORD commanded Moses; they camped under their standards in this way and set out in the same way, each man with his clan and his family.
Number the children of Levi after the house of their fathers, by their families: every male from a month old and upward shalt thou number them.
“Number the Levites by their families and clans. You are to count every male a month old or more.”
And the sons of Merari by their families; Mahli, and Mushi. These are the families of the Levites according to the house of their fathers.
And the sons of Merari by their clans were Mahli and Mushi. These were the clans of the Levites, according to their families.

and the leader of the families of the Kohathites was Elizaphan son of Uzziel.
And the chief of the house of the father of the families of Merari was Zuriel the son of Abihail: these shall pitch on the side of the tabernacle northward.
The leader of the families of the Merarites was Zuriel son of Abihail; they were to camp on the north side of the tabernacle.
Take the sum of the sons of
Kohath from among the sons of Levi, after their families, by the
house of their fathers,
“Take a census of the Kohathites among the Levites by their clans and families,
Take also the sum of the sons of Gershon, throughout the houses of their fathers, by their families;
“Take a census of the Gershonites as well, by their families and clans,
As for the sons of Merari, thou shalt number them after their families, by the house of their fathers;
As for the sons of Merari, you are to number them by their clans and families,
And Moses and Aaron and the chief of the congregation numbered the sons of the Kohathites after their families, and after the house of their fathers,
So Moses, Aaron, and the leaders of the congregation numbered the Kohathites by their clans and families,
And those that were numbered of the sons of Gershon, throughout their families, and by the house of their fathers,
Then the Gershonites were numbered by their clans and families,

And those that were numbered of the families of the sons of Merari, throughout their families, by the house of their fathers,
And the Merarites were numbered by their clans and families,
All those that were numbered of the Levites, whom Moses and Aaron and the chief of Israel numbered, after their families, and after the house of their fathers,
So Moses, Aaron, and the leaders of Israel numbered by their clans and families all the Levites
That the princes of Israel, heads of the house of their fathers, who were the princes of the tribes, and were over them that were numbered, offered:
And the leaders of Israel, the heads of their families, presented an offering. These men were the
tribal leaders who had
supervised the
registration.
My servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all mine house.
But this is not so with My servant Moses; he is faithful in all My house.
And the earth opened her mouth, and
swallowed them up, and their
houses, and all the men that
appertained unto
Korah, and all their goods.
and the earth opened its mouth and
swallowed them and their
households—all
Korah’s men and all their possessions.
