Judah by the word of the LORD unto
Bethel: and

And their father said unto them, What way went he? For his sons had seen what way the man of God went, which came from Judah.
“Which way did he go?” their father asked. And his sons showed him the way taken by the man of God, who had come from Judah.
And went after the man of God, and found him sitting under an oak: and he said unto him, Art thou the man of God that camest from Judah? And he said, I am.
and went after the man of God. He found him sitting under an oak tree and asked, “Are you the man of God who came from Judah?” “I am,” he replied.
And he
cried unto the man of God that came from
Judah, saying, Thus saith the LORD,
Forasmuch as thou hast disobeyed the mouth of the LORD, and hast not kept the commandment which the LORD thy God commanded thee,
and the prophet
cried out to the man of God who had come from
Judah, “This is what the LORD says: ‘Because you have
defied the word of the LORD and have not kept the commandment that the LORD your God gave you,

anyone from leaving or entering the territory of
Asa king of
Judah.
Then King
Asa summoned all the men of
Judah, with no exceptions, and they carried away the stones of
Ramah and the timbers
Baasha had used for building. And with these materials King
Asa built up Geba of Benjamin, as well as
Mizpah.

And when he saw that, he arose, and went for his life, and came to Beer-
sheba, which belongeth to
Judah, and left his servant there.
And
Elijah was afraid and ran for his life. When he came to
Beersheba in
Judah, he left his servant there,
And as thy servant was
busy here and there, he was gone. And the king of Israel said unto him, So shall thy
judgment be;
thyself hast decided it.
But while your servant was
busy here and there, the man disappeared.” And the king of Israel said to him, “So shall your
judgment be; you have pronounced it on
yourself.”
And it came to pass in the third year, that
Jehoshaphat the king of
Judah came down to the king of Israel.
However, in the third year,
Jehoshaphat king of
Judah went down to visit the king of Israel,
And the king of Israel and
Jehoshaphat the king of
Judah sat each on his throne, having put on their robes, in a void place in the entrance of the gate of Samaria; and all the prophets
prophesied before them.
Dressed in royal
attire, the king of Israel and
Jehoshaphat king of
Judah were sitting on their thrones at the
threshing floor by the entrance of the gate of Samaria, with all the prophets
prophesying before them.
And
Jehoshaphat the son of

So he died according to the word of the LORD which
Elijah had spoken. And Jehoram reigned in his
stead in the second year of Jehoram the son of
Jehoshaphat king of
Judah; because he had no son.
So
Ahaziah died according to the word of the LORD that
Elijah had spoken. And since he had no son, Jehoram succeeded him in the second year of the reign of Jehoram son of
Jehoshaphat over
Judah.
Now Jehoram the son of
Ahab began to reign over Israel in Samaria the
eighteenth year of
Jehoshaphat king of
Judah, and reigned twelve years.
In the
eighteenth year of
Jehoshaphat’s reign over
Judah, Jehoram son of

And he went and sent to
Jehoshaphat the king of
Judah, saying, The king of Moab hath rebelled against me:
wilt thou go with me against Moab to battle? And he said, I will go up: I am as thou art, my people as thy people, and my horses as thy horses.
And he sent a message to
Jehoshaphat king of
Judah: “The king of Moab has rebelled against me. Will you go with me to fight against Moab?” “I will go,” replied
Jehoshaphat. “I am like you, my people are your people, and my horses are your horses.”
So the king of Israel went, and the king of
Judah, and the king of
Edom: and they
fetched a compass of seven days’ journey: and there was no water for the host, and for the cattle that followed them.
So the king of Israel, the king of
Judah, and the king of
Edom set out, and after they had traveled a
roundabout route for seven days, they had no water for their army or for their animals.
And
Elisha said, As the LORD of hosts liveth, before whom I stand, surely, were it not that I regard the presence of
Jehoshaphat the king of
Judah, I would not look toward thee, nor see thee.
Then
Elisha said, “As surely as the LORD of Hosts lives, before whom I stand, were it not for my regard for the presence of
Jehoshaphat king of
Judah, I would not look at you or acknowledge you.
And in the fifth year of
Joram the son of
Ahab king of Israel,
Jehoshaphat being then king of
Judah, Jehoram the son of
Jehoshaphat king of
Judah began to reign.
In the fifth year of the reign of
Joram son of
Ahab over Israel, Jehoram son of
Jehoshaphat succeeded his father as king of
Judah.
Yet the LORD would not destroy
Judah for David his servant’s sake, as he promised him to give him
alway a light, and to his children.
Yet for the sake of His servant David, the LORD was unwilling to destroy
Judah, since He had promised to maintain a lamp for David and his descendants
forever.
In his days
Edom revolted from under the hand of
Judah, and made a king over themselves.
In the days of Jehoram,
Edom rebelled against the hand of
Judah and appointed their own king.
Yet
Edom revolted from under the hand of
Judah unto this day. Then
Libnah revolted at the same time.
So to this day
Edom has been in rebellion against the hand of
Judah. Likewise,
Libnah rebelled at the same time.
And the rest of the acts of
Joram, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of
Judah?

In the
twelfth year of
Joram the son of
Ahab king of Israel did
Ahaziah the son of Jehoram king of
Judah begin to reign.
And king
Joram went back to be
healed in
Jezreel of the wounds which the Syrians had given him at
Ramah, when he fought against
Hazael king of Syria. And
Ahaziah the son of Jehoram king of
Judah went down to see
Joram the son of
Ahab in
Jezreel, because he was sick.
So King
Joram returned to
Jezreel to recover from the wounds that the Arameans had inflicted on him at
Ramah when he fought against
Hazael king of
Aram. Then
Ahaziah son of Jehoram king of
Judah went down to
Jezreel to visit
Joram son of
Ahab, because
Joram had been wounded.
And
Joram said, Make ready. And his
chariot was made ready. And
Joram king of Israel and
Ahaziah king of
Judah went out, each in his
chariot, and they went out against
Jehu, and met him in the portion of
Naboth the Jezreelite.
But when
Ahaziah the king of
Judah saw this, he fled by the way of the garden house. And
Jehu followed after him, and said,
Smite him also in the
chariot. And they did so at the going up to Gur, which is by Ibleam. And he fled to
Megiddo, and died there.
When King
Ahaziah of
Judah saw this, he fled up the road toward Beth-haggan. And
Jehu pursued him,
shouting, “Shoot him too!” So they shot
Ahaziah in his
chariot on the
Ascent of Gur, near Ibleam, and he fled to
Megiddo and died there.
Jehu met with the brethren of
Ahaziah king of
Judah, and said, Who are ye? And they answered, We are the brethren of
Ahaziah; and we go down to
salute the children of the king and the children of the queen.
Jehu met some relatives of
Ahaziah king of
Judah and asked, “Who are you?” “We are relatives of
Ahaziah,” they answered, “and we have come down to
greet the sons of the king and of the queen mother.”
And Jehoash king of
Judah took all the
hallowed things that
Jehoshaphat, and Jehoram, and
Ahaziah, his fathers, kings of
Judah, had dedicated, and his own
hallowed things, and all the gold that was found in the treasures of the house of the LORD, and in the king’s house, and sent it to
Hazael king of Syria: and he went away from Jerusalem.
So King
Joash of
Judah took all the sacred objects dedicated by his fathers—
Jehoshaphat, Jehoram, and
Ahaziah, the kings of
Judah—along with his own consecrated items and all the gold found in the
treasuries of the house of the LORD and the royal palace, and he sent them to
Hazael king of
Aram. So
Hazael withdrew from Jerusalem.

Joash, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of
Judah?

And Jehoash the king of Israel sent to
Amaziah king of
Judah, saying, The
thistle that was in
Lebanon sent to the
cedar that was in
Lebanon, saying, Give thy daughter to my son to wife: and there passed by a wild beast that was in
Lebanon, and
trode down the
thistle.
Thou hast indeed
smitten Edom, and thine heart hath lifted thee up: glory of this, and
tarry at home: for why shouldest thou
meddle to thy
hurt, that thou shouldest fall, even thou, and
Judah with thee?
You have indeed defeated
Edom, and your heart has become proud. Glory in that and stay at home. Why should you
stir up trouble so that you fall—you and
Judah with you?”
But
Amaziah would not hear. Therefore Jehoash king of Israel went up; and he and
Amaziah king of
Judah looked one another in the face at Beth-shemesh, which belongeth to
Judah.
But
Amaziah would not
listen, and Jehoash king of Israel advanced. He and King
Amaziah of
Judah faced each other at Beth-shemesh in
Judah.
And Judah was put to the worse before Israel; and they fled every man to their tents.
And Judah was routed before Israel, and every man fled to his home.
And Jehoash king of Israel took
Amaziah king of
Judah, the son of Jehoash the son of
Ahaziah, at Beth-shemesh, and came to Jerusalem, and
brake down the wall of Jerusalem from the gate of Ephraim unto the corner gate, four hundred cubits.
There at Beth-shemesh, Jehoash king of Israel captured
Amaziah king of
Judah, the son of
Joash, the son of
Ahaziah. Then Jehoash went to Jerusalem and broke down the wall of Jerusalem from the Ephraim Gate to the Corner Gate—a section of four hundred cubits.

And all the people of
Judah took
Azariah, which was sixteen years old, and made him king instead of his father
Amaziah.
Then all the people of
Judah took
Azariah, who was sixteen years old, and made him king in place of his father
Amaziah.
He built
Elath, and restored it to
Judah, after that the king
slept with his fathers.
Azariah was the one who rebuilt
Elath and restored it to
Judah after King
Amaziah rested with his fathers.
In the
fifteenth year of the reign of
Amaziah son of
Joash over
Judah,
Jeroboam son of Jehoash became king of Israel, and he reigned in Samaria forty-one years.

Jeroboam king of Israel began

Amaziah king of
Judah to reign.
And the LORD
smote the king, so that he was a
leper unto the day of his death, and dwelt in a several house. And Jotham the king’s son was over the house,
judging the people of the land.
And the LORD
afflicted the king with
leprosy until the day he died, so that he lived in a separate house while his son Jotham had charge of the palace and governed the people of the land.

(In those days the LORD began to send Rezin king of
Aram and Pekah son of Remaliah against
Judah.)
In the
seventeenth year of Pekah the son of Remaliah
Ahaz the son of Jotham king of
Judah began to reign.

Yet the LORD
testified against Israel, and against
Judah, by all the prophets, and by all the seers, saying, Turn ye from your evil ways, and keep my commandments and my statutes, according to all the law which I commanded your fathers, and which I sent to you by my servants the prophets.
Yet through all His prophets and seers, the LORD
warned Israel and
Judah, saying, “Turn from your wicked ways and keep My commandments and statutes, according to the entire Law that I commanded your fathers and delivered to you through My servants the prophets.”
Therefore the LORD was very
angry with Israel, and removed them out of his sight: there was none left but the tribe of
Judah only.
So the LORD was very
angry with Israel, and He removed them from His presence. Only the tribe of
Judah remained,
Also Judah kept not the commandments of the LORD their God, but walked in the statutes of Israel which they made.
and even Judah did not keep the commandments of the LORD their God, but lived according to the customs Israel had introduced.
Now it came to pass in the third year of Hoshea son of Elah king of Israel, that
Hezekiah the son of
Ahaz king of
Judah began to reign.
In the third year of the reign of Hoshea son of Elah over Israel,
Hezekiah son of
Ahaz became king of
Judah.
He trusted in the LORD God of Israel; so that after him was none like him among all the kings of Judah, nor any that were before him.
Hezekiah trusted in the LORD, the God of Israel. No king of
Judah was like him, either before him or after him.
And
Hezekiah king of
Judah sent to the king of Assyria to
Lachish, saying, I have
offended; return from me: that which thou puttest on me will I bear. And the king of Assyria appointed unto
Hezekiah king of
Judah three hundred talents of silver and thirty talents of gold.
So
Hezekiah king of
Judah sent word to the king of Assyria at
Lachish, saying, “I have done wrong; withdraw from me, and I will pay whatever you demand from me.” And the king of Assyria exacted from
Hezekiah king of
Judah three hundred talents of silver and thirty talents of gold.
At that time did
Hezekiah cut off the gold from the doors of the temple of the LORD, and from the pillars which
Hezekiah king of
Judah had overlaid, and gave it to the king of Assyria.
At that time
Hezekiah stripped the gold with which he had plated the doors and doorposts of the temple of the LORD, and he gave it to the king of Assyria.
But if ye say unto me, We trust in the LORD our God: is not that he, whose high places and whose altars
Hezekiah hath taken away, and hath said to
Judah and Jerusalem, Ye shall worship before this altar in Jerusalem?
But if you say to me, ‘We trust in the LORD our God,’ is He not the One whose high places and altars
Hezekiah has removed, saying to
Judah and Jerusalem: ‘You must worship before this altar in Jerusalem’?
Thus shall ye speak to
Hezekiah king of
Judah, saying, Let not thy God in whom thou trustest
deceive thee, saying, Jerusalem shall not be delivered into the hand of the king of Assyria.
“Give this message to
Hezekiah king of
Judah: ‘Do not let your God, in whom you trust,
deceive you by saying that Jerusalem will not be delivered into the hand of the king of Assyria.
And the
remnant that is escaped of the house of
Judah shall yet again take root
downward, and bear fruit upward.
And the
surviving remnant of the house of
Judah will again take root below and bear fruit above.

Because
Manasseh king of
Judah hath done these abominations, and hath done wickedly above all that the
Amorites did, which were before him, and hath made
Judah also to sin with his idols:
“Since
Manasseh king of
Judah has committed all these abominations, acting more wickedly than the
Amorites who preceded him, and with his idols has caused
Judah to sin,
Therefore thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Behold, I am bringing such evil upon Jerusalem and
Judah, that
whosoever heareth of it, both his ears shall
tingle.
this is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: ‘Behold, I am bringing such
calamity upon Jerusalem and
Judah that the news will
reverberate in the ears of all who hear it.
Moreover
Manasseh shed innocent blood very much, till he had filled Jerusalem from one end to another; beside his sin
wherewith he made
Judah to sin, in doing that which was evil in the sight of the LORD.
Moreover,
Manasseh shed so much innocent blood that he filled Jerusalem from end to end, in addition to the sin that he had caused
Judah to commit, doing evil in the sight of the LORD.

Go ye,
enquire of the LORD for me, and for the people, and for all
Judah, concerning the words of this book that is found: for great is the wrath of the LORD that is
