Neither shall they
shave their heads, nor suffer their locks to grow long; they shall only
poll their heads.
They must not
shave their heads or
let their hair grow long, but must carefully
trim their hair.
Thus saith the Lord GOD;
Let it suffice you, O princes of Israel: remove violence and
spoil, and
execute judgment and justice, take away your exactions from my people, saith the Lord GOD.
For this is what the Lord GOD says: ‘Enough, O princes of Israel! Cease your violence and oppression, and do what is just and right. Stop dispossessing My people, declares the Lord GOD.’
Prove thy servants, I
beseech thee, ten days; and
let them give us
pulse to eat, and water to drink.
“Please test your servants for ten days. Let us be given only vegetables to eat and water to drink.
Then let our countenances be looked upon before thee, and the countenance of the children that eat of the portion of the king’s meat: and as thou seest, deal with thy servants.
Then compare our appearances with those of the young men who are eating the royal food, and deal with your servants according to what you see.”
They answered again and said,
Let the king tell his servants the dream, and we will
shew the interpretation of it.
They answered a second time, “Let the king tell the dream to his servants, and we will give the interpretation.”
But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.
But even if He does not, let it be known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the golden statue you have set up.”
He
cried aloud, and said thus,
Hew down the tree, and cut off his branches,
shake off his leaves, and
scatter his fruit:
let the beasts get away from under it, and the fowls from his branches:
He called out in a loud voice: ‘Cut down the tree and
chop off its branches; strip off its leaves and
scatter its fruit.
Let the beasts
flee from under it, and the birds from its branches.
Nevertheless leave the
stump of his roots in the earth, even with a band of iron and brass, in the tender grass of the field; and
let it be wet with the
dew of heaven, and
let his portion be with the beasts in the grass of the earth:
But leave the
stump with its roots in the ground, and a band of iron and bronze around it, in the tender grass of the field.
Let him be
drenched with the
dew of heaven and
graze with the beasts on the grass of the earth.
Let his heart be changed from man’s, and let a beast’s heart be given unto him; and let seven times pass over him.
Let his mind be changed from that of a man, and let him be given the mind of a beast till seven times pass him by.
Then Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, was
astonied for one hour, and his thoughts troubled him. The king spake, and said, Belteshazzar,
let not the dream, or the interpretation thereof, trouble thee. Belteshazzar answered and said, My lord, the dream be to them that
hate thee, and the interpretation thereof to thine enemies.
For a time, Daniel, who was also known as Belteshazzar, was
perplexed, and his thoughts
alarmed him. So the king said, “Belteshazzar, do not
let the dream or its interpretation
alarm you.” “My lord,” replied Belteshazzar, “may the dream apply to those who
hate you, and its interpretation to your enemies!
And whereas the king saw a watcher and an holy one coming down from heaven, and saying,
Hew the tree down, and destroy it; yet leave the
stump of the roots thereof in the earth, even with a band of iron and brass, in the tender grass of the field; and
let it be wet with the
dew of heaven, and
let his portion be with the beasts of the field, till seven times pass over him;
And you, O king, saw a watcher, a holy one, coming down from heaven and saying: ‘Cut down the tree and destroy it, but leave the
stump with its roots in the ground, and a band of iron and bronze around it, in the tender grass of the field.
Let him be
drenched with the
dew of heaven, and
graze with the beasts of the field till seven times pass him by.’
Wherefore, O king,
let my counsel be acceptable unto thee, and break off thy sins by righteousness, and thine
iniquities by
shewing mercy to the poor; if it may be a
lengthening of thy tranquility.
Therefore, may my advice be pleasing to you, O king. Break away from your sins by doing what is right, and from your
iniquities by showing mercy to the
oppressed. Perhaps there will be an extension of your prosperity.”
Now the queen, by reason of the words of the king and his lords, came into the
banquet house: and the queen spake and said, O king, live for ever:
let not thy thoughts trouble thee, nor
let thy countenance be changed:
Hearing the outcry of the king and his nobles, the queen entered the
banquet hall. “O king, may you live
forever!” she said. “Do not
let your thoughts
terrify you, or your face grow pale.
Forasmuch as an excellent spirit, and knowledge, and understanding,
interpreting of dreams, and
shewing of hard sentences, and
dissolving of doubts, were found in the same Daniel, whom the king named Belteshazzar: now
let Daniel be called, and he will
shew the interpretation.
did this because Daniel, the one he named Belteshazzar, was found to have an extraordinary spirit, as well as knowledge, understanding, and the ability to
interpret dreams, explain
riddles, and
solve difficult problems.
Summon Daniel, therefore, and he will give you the interpretation.”
Then Daniel answered and said before the king,
Let thy gifts be to
thyself, and give thy rewards to another; yet I will read the writing unto the king, and make known to him the interpretation.
In
response, Daniel said to the king, “You may keep your gifts for
yourself and give your rewards to someone else. Nevertheless, I will read the inscription for the king and
interpret it for him.
O Lord, according to all thy righteousness, I
beseech thee,
let thine anger and thy
fury be turned away from thy city Jerusalem, thy holy mountain: because for our sins, and for the
iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and thy people are become a reproach to all that are about us.
O Lord, in keeping with all Your righteous acts, I pray that Your anger and wrath may turn away from Your city Jerusalem, Your holy mountain; for because of our sins and the
iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and Your people are a reproach to all around us.
And said, O man greatly beloved, fear not: peace be unto thee, be strong,
yea, be strong. And when he had spoken unto me, I was strengthened, and said,
Let my lord speak; for thou hast strengthened me.
“Do not be afraid, you who are highly precious,” he said. “Peace be with you! Be strong now; be very strong!” As he spoke with me, I was strengthened and said, “Speak, my lord, for you have strengthened me.”
Plead with your mother,
plead: for she is not my wife, neither am I her husband:
let her therefore put away her whoredoms out of her sight, and her
adulteries from between her breasts;
Rebuke your mother,
rebuke her, for she is not My wife, and I am not her husband.
Let her remove the
adultery from her face and the unfaithfulness from between her breasts.
Lest I strip her naked, and set her as in the day that she was born, and make her as a wilderness, and set her like a dry land, and
slay her with
thirst.
Otherwise, I will strip her naked and
expose her like the day of her birth. I will make her like a desert and turn her into a
parched land, and I will
let her die of
thirst.
So I bought her to me for fifteen pieces of silver, and for an homer of barley, and an half homer of barley:
So I bought her for fifteen shekels of silver and a homer and a lethech of barley.
Yet
let no man
strive, nor reprove another: for thy people are as they that
strive with the priest.
But
let no man
contend;
let no man offer reproof; for your people are like those who
contend with a priest.
Though thou, Israel, play the
harlot, yet
let not Judah
offend; and come not ye unto
Gilgal, neither go ye up to Beth-
aven, nor
swear, The LORD liveth.
Though you
prostitute yourself, O Israel, may Judah avoid such guilt! Do not journey to
Gilgal, do not go up to Beth-
aven, and do not
swear on oath, ‘As surely as the LORD lives!’
Ephraim is joined to idols: let him alone.
Ephraim is joined to idols; leave him alone!
Come, and
let us return unto the LORD: for he hath
torn, and he will
heal us; he hath
smitten, and he will bind us up.
Come,
let us return to the LORD. For He has
torn us to pieces, but He will
heal us; He has wounded us, but He will bind up our wounds.
Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.
So let us know— let us press on to know the LORD. As surely as the sun rises, He will appear; He will come to us like the rain, like the spring showers that water the earth.
The days of
visitation are come, the days of recompence are come; Israel shall know it: the prophet is a
fool, the spiritual man is
mad, for the multitude of thine iniquity, and the great hatred.
The days of punishment have come; the days of
retribution have arrived—
let Israel know it. The prophet is called a
fool, and the inspired man
insane, because of the greatness of your iniquity and hostility.
And now they sin more and more, and have made them
molten images of their silver, and idols according to their own understanding, all of it the work of the
craftsmen: they say of them,
Let the men that sacrifice
kiss the
calves.
Now they sin more and more and make for themselves cast images, idols
skillfully made from their silver, all of them the work of
craftsmen. People say of them, “They offer human sacrifice and
kiss the
calves!”
Who is wise, and he shall understand these things?
prudent, and he shall know them? for the ways of the LORD are right, and the just shall walk in them: but the transgressors shall fall therein.
Tell ye your children of it, and let your children tell their children, and their children another generation.
Tell it to your children; let your children tell it to their children, and their children to the next generation.
Blow ye the
trumpet in
Zion, and sound an
alarm in my holy mountain:
let all the inhabitants of the land
tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is
nigh at hand;
Blow the ram’s horn in
Zion; sound the
alarm on My holy mountain!
Let all who dwell in the land
tremble, for the Day of the LORD is coming; indeed, it is near—
Let the priests, the ministers of the LORD,
weep between the
porch and the altar, and
let them say,
Spare thy people, O LORD, and give not thine
heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them: wherefore should they say among the people, Where is their God?
Let the priests who minister before the LORD
weep between the
portico and the altar, saying, “
Spare Your people, O LORD, and do not make Your
heritage a reproach, an object of
scorn among the nations. Why should they say among the peoples, ‘Where is their God?’”
Proclaim ye this among the Gentiles; Prepare war,
wake up the mighty men,
let all the men of war draw near;
let them come up:
Proclaim this among the nations: “Prepare for war;
rouse the mighty men;
let all the men of war advance and attack!
Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruninghooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong.
Beat your plowshares into swords and your
pruning hooks into spears.
Let the weak say, ‘I am strong!’
Let the heathen be
wakened, and come up to the valley of
Jehoshaphat: for there will I sit to judge all the heathen round about.
Let the nations be
roused and advance to the Valley of
Jehoshaphat, for there I will sit down to judge all the nations on every side.
Hear this word, ye
kine of
Bashan, that are in the mountain of Samaria, which
oppress the poor, which
crush the
needy, which say to their masters, Bring, and
let us drink.
Hear this word, you cows of
Bashan on Mount Samaria, you women who
oppress the poor and
crush the
needy, who say to your husbands, “Bring us more to drink.”
But let judgment run down as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream.
But let justice roll on like a river, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.
Saying, When will the new moon be gone, that we may sell corn? and the sabbath, that we may set forth wheat, making the
ephah small, and the
shekel great, and
falsifying the balances by
deceit?
asking, “When will the New Moon be over, that we may sell grain? When will the Sabbath end, that we may market wheat?
Let us reduce the
ephah and increase the
shekel;
let us
cheat with
dishonest scales.
That we may
buy the poor for silver, and the
needy for a pair of
shoes;
yea, and sell the refuse of the wheat?
Let us
buy the poor with silver and the
needy for a pair of
sandals, selling even the
chaff with the wheat!”
The vision of
Obadiah. Thus saith the Lord GOD concerning
Edom; We have heard a rumour from the LORD, and an ambassador is sent among the heathen, Arise ye, and
let us rise up against her in battle.
This is the vision of
Obadiah: This is what the Lord GOD says about
Edom— We have heard a message from the LORD; an
envoy has been sent among the nations to say, “Rise up, and
let us go to battle against her!”—
And they said every one to his fellow, Come, and
let us cast lots, that we may know for whose cause this evil is upon us. So they cast lots, and the lot fell upon
Jonah.
“Come!” said the sailors to one another. “
Let us cast lots to find out who is responsible for this
calamity that is upon us.” So they cast lots, and the lot fell on
Jonah.
Wherefore they
cried unto the LORD, and said, We
beseech thee, O LORD, we
beseech thee,
let us not perish for this man’s life, and lay not upon us innocent blood: for thou, O LORD, hast done as it pleased thee.
So they
cried out to the LORD: “Please, O LORD, do not
let us perish on account of this man’s life! Do not charge us with innocent blood! For You, O LORD, have done as You pleased.”
And he caused it to be proclaimed and published through
Nineveh by the decree of the king and his nobles, saying,
Let neither man nor beast,
herd nor flock, taste any thing:
let them not feed, nor drink water:
Then he issued a
proclamation in
Nineveh: “By the decree of the king and his nobles:
Let no man or beast,
herd or flock, taste anything at all. They must not eat or drink.
But
let man and beast be covered with
sackcloth, and cry
mightily unto God:
yea,
let them turn every one from his evil way, and from the violence that is in their hands.
Furthermore,
let both man and beast be covered with
sackcloth, and have
everyone call out earnestly to God.
Let each one turn from his evil ways and from the violence in his hands.
Hear, all ye people;
hearken, O earth, and all that therein is: and
let the Lord GOD be witness against you, the Lord from his holy temple.
Hear, O peoples, all of you;
listen, O earth, and
everyone in it! May the Lord GOD bear witness against you, the Lord from His holy temple.
And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and
let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of
Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
And many nations will come and say: “Come,
let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob. He will teach us His ways, so that we may walk in His paths.” For the law will go forth from
Zion and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
Now also many nations are gathered against thee, that say,
Let her be
defiled, and
let our eye look upon
Zion.
But now many nations have assembled against you, saying, “
Let her be
defiled, and
let us feast our eyes on
Zion.”
Hear ye now what the LORD saith; Arise,
contend thou before the mountains, and
let the hills hear thy voice.
Hear now what the LORD says: “Arise,
plead your case before the mountains, and
let the hills hear your voice.
Shepherd with Your staff Your people, the flock of Your inheritance. They live alone in a
woodland, surrounded by pastures.
Let them
graze in
Bashan and
Gilead, as in the days of old.
Thou art filled with shame for glory: drink thou also, and
let thy
foreskin be uncovered: the cup of the LORD’S right hand shall be turned unto thee, and shameful
spewing shall be on thy glory.
You will be filled with shame instead of glory. You too must drink and
expose your
uncircumcision! The cup in the LORD’s right hand will come around to you, and utter disgrace will cover your glory.
But the LORD is in his holy temple: let all the earth keep silence before him.
But the LORD is in His holy temple; let all the earth be silent before Him.
In that day it shall be said to Jerusalem, Fear thou not: and to
Zion,
Let not thine hands be
slack.
On that day they will say to Jerusalem: “Do not fear, O
Zion; do not
let your hands fall
limp.
And I said,
Let them set a fair
mitre upon his head. So they set a fair
mitre upon his head, and clothed him with garments. And the angel of the LORD stood by.
Then I said, “
Let them put a clean
turban on his head.” So a clean
turban was placed on his head, and they clothed him, as the angel of the LORD stood by.
And
oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the stranger, nor the poor; and
let none of you imagine evil against his brother in your heart.
Do not
oppress the widow or the fatherless, the foreigner or the poor. And do not plot evil in your hearts against one another.’
Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Let your hands be strong, ye that hear in these days these words by the mouth of the prophets, which were in the day that the foundation of the house of the LORD of hosts was laid, that the temple might be built.
This is what the LORD of Hosts says: “Let your hands be strong, you who now hear these words spoken by the prophets who were present when the foundations were laid to rebuild the temple, the house of the LORD of Hosts.
And it shall come to pass, that as ye were a
curse among the heathen, O house of Judah, and house of Israel; so will I save you, and ye shall be a blessing: fear not, but
let your hands be strong.
As you have been a
curse among the nations, O house of Judah and house of Israel, so I will save you, and you will be a blessing. Do not be afraid;
let your hands be strong.”
And
let none of you imagine evil in your hearts against his neighbour; and love no false oath: for all these are things that I
hate, saith the LORD.
do not plot evil in your hearts against your
neighbor, and do not love to
swear falsely, for I
hate all these things,” declares the LORD.
And the inhabitants of one city shall go to another, saying, Let us go speedily to pray before the LORD, and to seek the LORD of hosts: I will go also.
and the residents of one city will go to another, saying: ‘
Let us go at once to
plead before the LORD and to seek the LORD of Hosts. I myself am going.’
Thus saith the LORD of hosts; In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the
skirt of him that is a
Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you.
This is what the LORD of Hosts says: “In those days ten men from the nations of every tongue will
tightly grasp the
robe of a
Jew, saying, ‘
Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.’”
Then said I, I will not feed you: that that dieth, let it die; and that that is to be cut off, let it be cut off; and let the rest eat every one the flesh of another.
Then I said, “I will no longer
shepherd you.
Let the dying die, and the perishing perish; and
let those who remain
devour one another’s flesh.”
And did not he make one? Yet had he the residue of the spirit. And wherefore one? That he might seek a godly seed. Therefore take
heed to your spirit, and
let none deal
treacherously against the wife of his youth.
Has not the LORD made them one, having a portion of the Spirit? And why one? Because He seeks godly offspring. So guard
yourselves in your spirit and do not break faith with the wife of your youth.
And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him.
“
Let it be so now,” Jesus replied. “It is fitting for us to
fulfill all righteousness in this way.” Then John permitted Him.
Let your light so
shine before men, that they may see your good works, and
glorify your Father which is in heaven.
In the same way,
let your light
shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and
glorify your Father in heaven.
Simply
let your ‘
Yes’ be ‘
Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No.’ Anything more comes from the evil one.
And if any man will
sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat,
let him have thy
cloke also.
if someone wants to
sue you and take your
tunic,
let him have your
cloak as well;
But when thou doest
alms,
let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:
But when you give to the
needy, do not
let your left hand know what your right hand is doing,
Or how
wilt thou say to thy brother,
Let me pull out the
mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
How can you say to your brother, ‘
Let me take the
speck out of your eye,’ while there is still a beam in your own eye?
And another of his disciples said unto him, Lord, suffer me first to go and
bury my father.
Another of His disciples requested, “Lord, first
let me go and
bury my father.”
But Jesus said unto him, Follow me; and
let the dead
bury their dead.
But Jesus told him, “Follow Me, and
let the dead
bury their own dead.”
And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you.
If the home is worthy, let your peace rest on it; but if it is not, let your peace return to you.
He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
He who has ears, let him hear.
Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
He who has ears, let him hear.”
Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my
barn.
Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and
tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat into my
barn.’”
Then shall the righteous
shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear,
let him hear.
Then the righteous will
shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears,
let him hear.
And
besought him that they might only touch the
hem of his garment: and as many as touched were made perfectly whole.
For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death.
For God said, ‘Honor your father and mother’ and ‘
Anyone who curses his father or mother must be put to death.’
Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the
ditch.
Disregard them! They are blind guides. If a blind man leads a blind man, both will fall into a pit.”
Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou
wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.
“O woman,” Jesus answered, “your faith is great!
Let it be done for you as you desire.” And her daughter was
healed from that very hour.
Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
Then Jesus told His disciples, “If
anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me.
Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou
wilt,
let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.
Peter said to Jesus, “Lord, it is good for us to be here. If You wish, I will put up three shelters—one for You, one for Moses, and one for
Elijah.”
And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church,
let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a
publican.
If he refuses to
listen to them, tell it to the church. And if he refuses to
listen even to the church, regard him as you would a pagan or a tax
collector.
Wherefore they are no more
twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together,
let not man put
asunder.
So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate.”
For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother’s
womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven’s sake. He that is able to receive it,
let him receive it.
For there are eunuchs who were born that way; others were made that way by men; and still others live like eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. The one who can accept this should accept it.”
But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and
forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.
But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them! For the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
But it shall not be so among you: but
whosoever will be great among you,
let him be your minister;
It shall not be this way among you. Instead,
whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant,
And
whosoever will be chief among you,
let him be your servant:
and
whoever wants to be first among you must be your slave—
They say unto him, Lord, that our eyes may be opened.
“Lord,” they answered, “let our eyes be opened.”
And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing
thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it,
Let no fruit grow on thee
henceforward for ever. And presently the fig tree
withered away.
Seeing a fig tree by the road, He went up to it but found nothing on it except leaves. “May you never bear fruit again!” He said. And immediately the tree
withered.
Hear another parable: There was a certain householder, which planted a
vineyard, and
hedged it round about, and
digged a winepress in it, and built a tower, and
let it out to
husbandmen, and went into a far country:
Listen to another parable: There was a
landowner who planted a
vineyard. He put a wall around it,
dug a winepress in it, and built a tower. Then he rented it out to some tenants and went away on a journey.
But when the
husbandmen saw the son, they said among themselves, This is the heir; come,
let us kill him, and
let us seize on his inheritance.
But when the tenants saw the son, they said to one another, ‘This is the heir. Come, let us kill him and take his inheritance.’
They say unto him, He will
miserably destroy those wicked men, and will
let out his
vineyard unto other
husbandmen, which shall render him the fruits in their seasons.
“He will bring those wretches to a
wretched end,” they replied, “and will rent out the
vineyard to other tenants who will give him his share of the fruit at harvest time.”
But
woe unto you,
scribes and
Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in
yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.
Woe to you,
scribes and
Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the kingdom of heaven in men’s faces. You
yourselves do not enter, nor will you
let in those who wish to enter.
When ye therefore shall see the
abomination of
desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (
whoso readeth,
let him understand:)
So when you see standing in the holy place ‘the
abomination of
desolation,’ described by the prophet Daniel (
let the reader understand),
Then
let them which be in Judaea
flee into the mountains:
then
let those who are in
Judea flee to the mountains.
Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:
Let no one on the housetop come down to
retrieve anything from his house.
Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.
And
let no one in the field return for his
cloak.
But know this, that if the
goodman of the house had known in what watch the
thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.
But understand this: If the homeowner had known in which watch of the night the
thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have
let his house be broken into.
And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible,
let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou
wilt.
Going a little farther, He fell facedown and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me. Yet not as I will, but as You will.”
Rise,
let us be going: behold, he is at hand that
doth betray me.
Rise,
let us go! See, My
betrayer is approaching!”
