spun linen,
And the five pillars of it with their hooks: and he overlaid their chapiters and their fillets with gold: but their five sockets were of brass.
together with five posts and their hooks. He overlaid the tops of the posts and their bands with gold, and their five bases were bronze.
And Bezaleel made
the ark of
shittim wood: two cubits and a half was
the length of it, and a
cubit and a half
the breadth of it, and a
cubit and a half
the height of it:
Bezalel went on to construct
the ark of
acacia wood, two and a half cubits long, a
cubit and a half wide, and a
cubit and a half high.
And he cast for it four rings of gold, to be set by the four corners of it; even two rings upon the one side of it, and two rings upon the other side of it.
And he cast four gold rings for its four feet, two rings on one side and two on the other.
Then he made poles of
acacia wood and overlaid
them with gold.
And he put
the staves into
the rings by
the sides of
the ark, to bear
the ark.
He inserted the poles into the rings on the sides of the ark in order to carry it.
And he made
the mercy seat of pure gold: two cubits and a half was
the length
thereof, and one
cubit and a half
the breadth
thereof.
He constructed a mercy seat of pure gold, two and a half cubits long and a
cubit and a half wide.
And he made two cherubims of gold, beaten out of one piece made he them, on the two ends of the mercy seat;
He made two
cherubim of hammered gold at
the ends of
the mercy seat,
One
cherub on
the end on this side, and another
cherub on
the other end on that side: out of
the mercy seat made he
the cherubims on
the two ends
thereof.
one
cherub on one end and one on
the other, all made from one piece of gold.
And the cherubims spread out their wings on high, and covered with their wings over the mercy seat, with their faces one to another; even to the mercy seatward were the faces of the cherubims.
And
the cherubim had wings that spread upward, overshadowing
the mercy seat.
The cherubim faced each other, looking toward
the mercy seat.
And he made
the table of
shittim wood: two cubits was
the length
thereof, and a
cubit the breadth
thereof, and a
cubit and a half
the height
thereof:
He also made
the table of
acacia wood two cubits long, a
cubit wide, and a
cubit and a half high.
And he overlaid it with pure gold, and made
thereunto a crown of gold round about.
He overlaid it with pure gold and made a gold
molding around it.
Also he made
thereunto a border of an
handbreadth round about; and made a crown of gold for
the border
thereof round about.
And he cast for it four rings of gold, and put the rings upon the four corners that were in the four feet thereof.
He cast four gold rings for the table and fastened them to the four corners at its four legs.
Over against
the border were
the rings,
the places for
the staves to bear
the table.
The rings were placed close to
the rim, to serve as holders for
the poles used to carry
the table.
And he made
the staves of
shittim wood, and overlaid
them with gold, to bear
the table.
He made
the poles of
acacia wood for carrying
the table and overlaid
them with gold.
And he made
the vessels which were upon
the table, his dishes, and his spoons, and his
bowls, and his covers to cover
withal, of pure gold.
He also made
the utensils for
the table out of pure gold: its plates and dishes, as well as its
bowls and pitchers for pouring drink offerings.
And he made
the candlestick of pure gold: of beaten work made he
the candlestick; his shaft, and his branch, his
bowls, his knops, and his flowers, were of
the same:
Then he made the lampstand out of pure hammered gold, all of one piece: its base and shaft, its cups, and its buds and petals.
And six branches going out of
the sides
thereof; three branches of
the candlestick out of
the one side
thereof, and three branches of
the candlestick out of
the other side
thereof:
Six branches extended from the sides, three on one side and three on the other.
Three
bowls made after
the fashion of almonds in one branch, a
knop and a flower; and three
bowls made like almonds in another branch, a
knop and a flower: so throughout
the six branches going out of
the candlestick.
There were three cups shaped like
almond blossoms on
the first branch, each with buds and petals, three on
the next branch, and
the same for all six branches that extended from
the lampstand.
And in
the candlestick were four
bowls made like almonds, his knops, and his flowers:
And on
the lampstand were four cups shaped like
almond blossoms with buds and petals.
And a
knop under two branches of
the same, and a
knop under two branches of
the same, and a
knop under two branches of
the same, according to
the six branches going out of it.
A
bud was under
the first pair of branches that extended from
the lampstand, a
bud under
the second pair, and a
bud under
the third pair.
Their knops and their branches were of the same: all of it was one beaten work of pure gold.
The buds and branches were all of one piece with the lampstand, hammered out of pure gold.
Of a talent of pure gold made he it, and all the vessels thereof.
He made the lampstand and all its utensils from a talent of pure gold.
And he made
the incense altar of
shittim wood:
the length of it was a
cubit, and
the breadth of it a
cubit; it was
foursquare; and two cubits was
the height of it;
the horns
thereof were of
the same.
He made
the altar of incense out of
acacia wood. It was square, a
cubit long, a
cubit wide, and two cubits high. Its horns were of one piece.
And he overlaid it with pure gold, both the top of it, and the sides thereof round about, and the horns of it: also he made unto it a crown of gold round about.
And he overlaid with pure gold
the top and all
the sides and horns.
Then he made a
molding of gold around it.
And he made two rings of gold for it under
the crown
thereof, by
the two corners of it, upon
the two sides
thereof, to be places for
the staves to bear it
withal.
He made two gold rings below
the molding on opposite sides to hold
the poles used to carry it.
And he made
the staves of
shittim wood, and overlaid
them with gold.
And he made
the poles of
acacia wood and overlaid
them with gold.
And he made
the holy
anointing oil, and
the pure incense of sweet spices, according to
the work of
the apothecary.
And he made
the altar of burnt offering of
shittim wood: five cubits was
the length
thereof, and five cubits
the breadth
thereof; it was
foursquare; and three cubits
the height
thereof.
Bezalel constructed
the altar of burnt offering from
acacia wood. It was square, five cubits long, five cubits wide, and three cubits high.
And he made the horns thereof on the four corners of it; the horns thereof were of the same: and he overlaid it with brass.
He made a horn at each of its four corners, so that the horns and altar were of one piece, and he overlaid the altar with bronze.
And he made all the vessels of the altar, the pots, and the shovels, and the basons, and the fleshhooks, and the firepans: all the vessels thereof made he of brass.
He made all
the altar’s utensils of bronze—its pots, shovels,
sprinkling bowls, meat forks, and firepans.
And he made for
the altar a
brasen grate of network under
the compass
thereof beneath unto
the midst of it.
And he cast four rings for
the four ends of
the grate of brass, to be places for
the staves.
At
the four corners of
the bronze
grate he cast four rings as holders for
the poles.
And he made
the staves of
shittim wood, and overlaid
them with brass.
And he made
the poles of
acacia wood and overlaid
them with bronze.
And he put
the staves into
the rings on
the sides of
the altar, to bear it
withal; he made
the altar hollow with boards.
Then he inserted the poles into the rings on the sides of the altar for carrying it. He made the altar with boards so that it was hollow.
And he made
the laver of brass, and
the foot of it of brass, of
the lookingglasses of
the women
assembling, which assembled at
the door of
the tabernacle of
the congregation.
Next he made the bronze basin and its stand from the mirrors of the women who served at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting.
And he made
the court: on
the south side southward
the hangings of
the court were of fine
twined linen, an hundred cubits:
Then he constructed
the courtyard.
The south side of
the courtyard was a hundred cubits long and had curtains of finely
spun linen,
Their pillars were twenty, and
their brasen sockets twenty;
the hooks of
the pillars and
their fillets were of silver.
with twenty posts and twenty bronze bases, and with silver hooks and bands on the posts.
And for the north side the hangings were an hundred cubits, their pillars were twenty, and their sockets of brass twenty; the hooks of the pillars and their fillets of silver.
The north side was also a hundred cubits long, with twenty posts and twenty bronze bases. The hooks and bands of the posts were silver.
And for the west side were hangings of fifty cubits, their pillars ten, and their sockets ten; the hooks of the pillars and their fillets of silver.
The west side was fifty cubits long and had curtains, with ten posts and ten bases. The hooks and bands of the posts were silver.
And for the east side eastward fifty cubits.
And
the east side, toward
the sunrise, was also fifty cubits long.
The hangings of the one side of the gate were fifteen cubits; their pillars three, and their sockets three.
The curtains on one side of the entrance were fifteen cubits long, with three posts and three bases.
And for the other side of the court gate, on this hand and that hand, were hangings of fifteen cubits; their pillars three, and their sockets three.
And the curtains on the other side were also fifteen cubits long, with three posts and three bases as well.
All
the hangings of
the court round about were of fine
twined linen.
All
the curtains around
the courtyard were made of finely
spun linen.
And
the sockets for
the pillars were of brass;
the hooks of
the pillars and
their fillets of silver; and
the overlaying of
their chapiters of silver; and all
the pillars of
the court were
filleted with silver.
The bases for
the posts were bronze,
the hooks and bands were silver, and
the plating for
the tops of
the posts was silver. So all
the posts of
the courtyard were banded with silver.
And
the hanging for
the gate of
the court was
needlework, of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine
twined linen: and twenty cubits was
the length, and
the height in
the breadth was five cubits, answerable to
the hangings of
the court.
The curtain for
the entrance to
the courtyard was
embroidered with blue, purple, and scarlet yarn, and finely
spun linen. It was twenty cubits long and, like
the curtains of
the courtyard, five cubits high,
And their pillars were four, and their sockets of brass four; their hooks of silver, and the overlaying of their chapiters and their fillets of silver.
with four posts and four bronze bases. Their hooks were silver, as well as the bands and the plating of their tops.
And all the pins of the tabernacle, and of the court round about, were of brass.
All
the tent pegs for
the tabernacle and for
the surrounding
courtyard were bronze.
This is
the sum of
the tabernacle, even of
the tabernacle of testimony, as it was counted, according to
the commandment of Moses, for
the service of
the Levites, by
the hand of
Ithamar, son to Aaron
the priest.
This is
the inventory for
the tabernacle,
the tabernacle of
the Testimony, as recorded at Moses’ command by
the Levites under
the direction of
Ithamar son of Aaron
the priest.
And Bezaleel
the son of
Uri,
the son of Hur, of
the tribe of Judah, made all that
the LORD commanded Moses.
Bezalel son of
Uri,
the son of Hur, of
the tribe of Judah, made everything that
the LORD had commanded Moses.
With him was Oholiab son of Ahisamach, of
the tribe of
Dan, an
engraver, designer, and
embroiderer in blue, purple, and scarlet yarn and fine linen.
All
the gold that was occupied for
the work in all
the work of
the holy place, even
the gold of
the offering, was twenty and nine talents, and seven hundred and thirty shekels, after
the shekel of
the sanctuary.
All
the gold from
the wave offering used for
the work on
the sanctuary totaled 29 talents and 730 shekels, according to
the sanctuary
shekel.
And
the silver of
them that were numbered of
the congregation was an hundred talents, and a thousand seven hundred and
threescore and fifteen shekels, after
the shekel of
the sanctuary:
The silver from those numbered among
the congregation totaled 100 talents and 1,775 shekels, according to
the sanctuary
shekel—
A
bekah for every man, that is, half a
shekel, after
the shekel of
the sanctuary, for every one that went to be numbered, from twenty years old and upward, for six hundred thousand and three thousand and five hundred and fifty men.
a beka per person, that is, half a
shekel, according to
the sanctuary
shekel, from
everyone twenty years of age or older who had crossed over to be numbered, a total of 603,550 men.
And of
the hundred talents of silver were cast
the sockets of
the sanctuary, and
the sockets of
the vail; an hundred sockets of
the hundred talents, a talent for a
socket.
The hundred talents of silver were used to cast
the bases of
the sanctuary and
the bases of
the veil—100 bases from
the 100 talents, one talent per base.
And of
the thousand seven hundred seventy and five shekels he made hooks for
the pillars, and overlaid
their chapiters, and
filleted them.
With the 1,775 shekels of silver he made the hooks for the posts, overlaid their tops, and supplied bands for them.
And the brass of the offering was seventy talents, and two thousand and four hundred shekels.
The bronze from the wave offering totaled 70 talents and 2,400 shekels.
And
therewith he made
the sockets to
the door of
the tabernacle of
the congregation, and
the brasen altar, and
the brasen grate for it, and all
the vessels of
the altar,
He used it to make
the bases for
the entrance to
the Tent of Meeting,
the bronze altar and its bronze
grating, all
the utensils for
the altar,
And the sockets of the court round about, and the sockets of the court gate, and all the pins of the tabernacle, and all the pins of the court round about.
the bases for
the surrounding
courtyard and its gate, and all
the tent pegs for
the tabernacle and its surrounding
courtyard.
And of the blue, and purple, and scarlet, they made cloths of service, to do service in the holy place, and made the holy garments for Aaron; as the LORD commanded Moses.
From
the blue, purple, and scarlet yarn
they made specially
woven garments for ministry in
the sanctuary, as well as
the holy garments for Aaron, just as
the LORD had commanded Moses.
And he made
the ephod of gold, blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine
twined linen.
Bezalel made
the ephod of finely
spun linen
embroidered with gold, and with blue, purple, and scarlet yarn.
And
they did beat
the gold into thin plates, and cut it into wires, to work it in
the blue, and in
the purple, and in
the scarlet, and in
the fine linen, with
cunning work.
They hammered out thin sheets of gold and cut threads from
them to
interweave with
the blue, purple, and scarlet yarn, and fine linen—
the work of a skilled
craftsman.
They made shoulderpieces for it, to couple it together: by the two edges was it coupled together.
They made shoulder pieces for
the ephod, which were attached at two of its corners, so it could be fastened.
And
the curious
girdle of his
ephod, that was upon it, was of
the same, according to
the work
thereof; of gold, blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine
twined linen; as
the LORD commanded Moses.
And
they wrought
onyx stones inclosed in ouches of gold,
graven, as signets are
graven, with
the names of
the children of Israel.
They mounted
the onyx stones in gold
filigree settings, engraved like a seal with
the names of
the sons of Israel.
And he put
them on
the shoulders of
the ephod, that
they should be stones for a
memorial to
the children of Israel; as
the LORD commanded Moses.
Then they fastened
them on
the shoulder pieces of
the ephod as
memorial stones for
the sons of Israel, as
the LORD had commanded Moses.
He made
the breastpiece with
the same
workmanship as
the ephod, with gold, with blue, purple, and scarlet yarn, and with finely
spun linen.
It was
foursquare;
they made
the breastplate double: a span was
the length
thereof, and a span
the breadth
thereof, being doubled.
It was square when folded over double, a span long and a span wide.
And
they set in it four rows of stones:
the first row was a
sardius, a
topaz, and a
carbuncle: this was
the first row.
And
they mounted on it four rows of gemstones:
The first row had a
ruby, a
topaz, and an
emerald;
And
the fourth row, a
beryl, an
onyx, and a
jasper:
they were inclosed in ouches of gold in
their inclosings.
And
the stones were according to
the names of
the children of Israel, twelve, according to
their names, like
the engravings of a
signet, every one with his name, according to
the twelve tribes.
The twelve stones corresponded to the names of the sons of Israel. Each stone was engraved like a seal with the name of one of the twelve tribes.
For
the breastpiece
they made
braided chains like cords of pure gold.
And
they made two ouches of gold, and two gold rings; and put
the two rings in
the two ends of
the breastplate.
They also made two gold
filigree settings and two gold rings, and fastened
the two rings to
the two corners of
the breastpiece.
Then they fastened the two gold chains to the two gold rings at the corners of the breastpiece,
And
the two ends of
the two
wreathen chains
they fastened in
the two ouches, and put
them on
the shoulderpieces of
the ephod, before it.
and
they fastened
the other ends of
the two chains to
the two
filigree settings,
attaching them to
the shoulder pieces of
the ephod at
the front.
And
they made two rings of gold, and put
them on
the two ends of
the breastplate, upon
the border of it, which was on
the side of
the ephod inward.
They made two more gold rings and attached
them to
the other two corners of
the breastpiece, on
the inside edge next to
the ephod.
And
they made two other golden rings, and put
them on
the two sides of
the ephod underneath, toward
the forepart of it, over against
the other coupling
thereof, above
the curious
girdle of
the ephod.
They made two additional gold rings and attached
them to
the bottom of
the two shoulder pieces of
the ephod, on its front, near
the seam just above its
woven waistband.
And
they did bind
the breastplate by his rings unto
the rings of
the ephod with a lace of blue, that it might be above
the curious
girdle of
the ephod, and that
the breastplate might not be loosed from
the ephod; as
the LORD commanded Moses.
Then they tied the rings of
the breastpiece to
the rings of
the ephod with a cord of blue yarn, so that
the breastpiece was above
the waistband of
the ephod and would not
swing out from
the ephod, just as
the LORD had commanded Moses.
They made
the robe of
the ephod entirely of blue cloth,
the work of a
weaver,
And
there was an hole in
the midst of
the robe, as
the hole of an
habergeon, with a band round about
the hole, that it should not
rend.
with an opening in
the center of
the robe like that of a garment, with a
collar around
the opening so that it would not
tear.
And
they made upon
the hems of
the robe pomegranates of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and
twined linen.
They made pomegranates of blue, purple, and scarlet yarn and finely
spun linen on
the lower
hem of
the robe.
And
they made bells of pure gold, and put
the bells between
the pomegranates upon
the hem of
the robe, round about between
the pomegranates;
They also made bells of pure gold and attached
them around
the hem between
the pomegranates,
alternating
the bells and pomegranates around
the lower
hem of
the robe to be worn for ministry, just as
the LORD had commanded Moses.
And
they made coats of fine linen of
woven work for Aaron, and for his sons,
For Aaron and his sons
they made tunics of fine linen,
the work of a
weaver,
And a
mitre of fine linen, and goodly bonnets of fine linen, and linen
breeches of fine
twined linen,
as well as
the turban of fine linen,
the ornate headbands and undergarments of finely
spun linen,
And a
girdle of fine
twined linen, and blue, and purple, and scarlet, of
needlework; as
the LORD commanded Moses.
and
the sash of finely
spun linen,
embroidered with blue, purple, and scarlet yarn, just as
the LORD had commanded Moses.
And
they made
the plate of
the holy crown of pure gold, and wrote upon it a writing, like to
the engravings of a
signet,
HOLINESS TO
THE LORD.
They also made the plate of the holy crown of pure gold, and they engraved on it, like an inscription on a seal: HOLY TO THE LORD.
And
they tied unto it a lace of blue, to
fasten it on high upon
the mitre; as
the LORD commanded Moses.
Then they fastened to it a blue cord to mount it on
the turban, just as
the LORD had commanded Moses.
Thus was all the work of the tabernacle of the tent of the congregation finished: and the children of Israel did according to all that the LORD commanded Moses, so did they.
So all the work for the tabernacle, the Tent of Meeting, was completed. The Israelites did everything just as the LORD had commanded Moses.
And they brought the tabernacle unto Moses, the tent, and all his furniture, his taches, his boards, his bars, and his pillars, and his sockets,
Then they brought the tabernacle to Moses: the tent with all its furnishings, its clasps, its frames, its crossbars, and its posts and bases;
And
the covering of rams’ skins
dyed red, and
the covering of badgers’ skins, and
the vail of
the covering,
the covering of ram skins
dyed red,
the covering of fine leather, and
the veil of
the covering;
