For the wave breast and the
heave shoulder have I taken of the children of Israel from off the sacrifices of their peace offerings, and have given them unto Aaron the priest and unto his
sons by a statute for ever from among the children of Israel.
I have taken from the
sons of Israel the breast of the wave offering and the
thigh of the contribution of their peace offerings, and I have given them to Aaron the priest and his
sons as a permanent portion from the
sons of Israel.’”
This is the portion of the
anointing of Aaron, and of the
anointing of his
sons, out of the offerings of the LORD made by fire, in the day when he presented them to minister unto the LORD in the priest’s office;
This is the portion of the offerings made by fire to the LORD for Aaron and his sons since the day they were presented to serve the LORD as priests.
Which the LORD commanded to be given them of the children of Israel, in the day that he
anointed them, by a statute for ever throughout their generations.
On the day they were
anointed, the LORD commanded that this be given them by the
sons of Israel. It is a permanent portion for the generations to come.
“Take Aaron and his
sons, their garments, the
anointing oil, the bull of the sin offering, the two rams, and the
basket of
unleavened bread,
And Moses brought Aaron and his sons, and washed them with water.
Then Moses presented Aaron and his sons and washed them with water.
And Moses brought Aaron’s
sons, and put coats upon them, and
girded them with girdles, and put bonnets upon them; as the LORD commanded Moses.
Then Moses presented Aaron’s
sons, put tunics on them,
wrapped sashes around them, and
tied headbands on them, just as the LORD had commanded him.
And he brought the
bullock for the sin offering: and Aaron and his
sons laid their hands upon the head of the
bullock for the sin offering.
Moses then brought the bull near for the sin offering, and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on its head.
And he brought the ram for the burnt offering: and Aaron and his sons laid their hands upon the head of the ram.
Then Moses presented the ram for the burnt offering, and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on its head.
And he brought the other ram, the ram of
consecration: and Aaron and his
sons laid their hands upon the head of the ram.
After that, Moses presented the other ram, the ram of
ordination, and Aaron and his
sons laid their hands on its head.
And he brought Aaron’s
sons, and Moses put of the blood upon the
tip of their right ear, and upon the thumbs of their right hands, and upon the great toes of their right feet: and Moses
sprinkled the blood upon the altar round about.
Moses also presented Aaron’s
sons and put some of the blood on their right earlobes, on the thumbs of their right hands, and on the
big toes of their right feet. Then he
sprinkled the blood on all sides of the altar.
And he put all upon Aaron’s hands, and upon his sons’ hands, and waved them for a wave offering before the LORD.
He put all these in the hands of Aaron and his sons and waved them before the LORD as a wave offering.
And Moses took of the
anointing oil, and of the blood which was upon the altar, and
sprinkled it upon Aaron, and upon his garments, and upon his
sons, and upon his
sons’ garments with him; and
sanctified Aaron, and his garments, and his
sons, and his
sons’ garments with him.
Next, Moses took some of the
anointing oil and some of the blood that was on the altar and
sprinkled them on Aaron and his garments, and on his
sons and their garments. So he consecrated Aaron and his garments, as well as Aaron’s
sons and their garments.
And Moses said unto Aaron and to his
sons,
Boil the flesh at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: and there eat it with the bread that is in the
basket of consecrations, as I commanded, saying, Aaron and his
sons shall eat it.
And Moses said to Aaron and his
sons, “
Boil the meat at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting and eat it there with the bread that is in the
basket of
ordination offerings, as I commanded, saying, ‘Aaron and his
sons are to eat it.’
So Aaron and his sons did all things which the LORD commanded by the hand of Moses.
So Aaron and his sons did everything the LORD had commanded through Moses.
And it came to pass on the eighth day, that Moses called Aaron and his sons, and the elders of Israel;
On the eighth day Moses summoned Aaron and his sons and the elders of Israel.
And the
sons of Aaron brought the blood unto him: and he
dipped his finger in the blood, and put it upon the horns of the altar, and poured out the blood at the bottom of the altar:
The
sons of Aaron brought the blood to him, and he
dipped his finger in the blood and applied it to the horns of the altar. And he poured out the rest of the blood at the base of the altar.
And he
slew the burnt offering; and Aaron’s
sons presented unto him the blood, which he
sprinkled round about upon the altar.
Then Aaron slaughtered the burnt offering. His
sons brought him the blood, and he
sprinkled it on all sides of the altar.
He
slew also the
bullock and the ram for a sacrifice of peace offerings, which was for the people: and Aaron’s
sons presented unto him the blood, which he
sprinkled upon the altar round about,
Then he slaughtered the ox and the ram as the people’s peace offering. His
sons brought him the blood, and he
sprinkled it on all sides of the altar.
And
Nadab and
Abihu, the
sons of Aaron, took either of them his
censer, and put fire therein, and put incense
thereon, and offered strange fire before the LORD, which he commanded them not.
Now Aaron’s
sons Nadab and
Abihu took their censers, put fire in them and added incense, and offered unauthorized fire before the LORD, contrary to His command.
And Moses called Mishael and Elzaphan, the sons of Uzziel the uncle of Aaron, and said unto them, Come near, carry your brethren from before the sanctuary out of the camp.
Moses summoned Mishael and Elzaphan, sons of Aaron’s uncle Uzziel, and said to them, “Come here; carry the bodies of your cousins outside the camp, away from the front of the sanctuary.”
And Moses said unto Aaron, and unto
Eleazar and unto
Ithamar, his
sons, Uncover not your heads, neither
rend your clothes; lest ye die, and lest wrath come upon all the people: but let your brethren, the whole house of Israel,
bewail the burning which the LORD hath
kindled.
Then Moses said to Aaron and his
sons Eleazar and
Ithamar, “Do not let your hair become
disheveled and do not
tear your garments, or else you will die, and the LORD will be
angry with the whole congregation. But your brothers, the whole house of Israel, may
mourn on account of the fire that the LORD has
ignited.
Do not drink wine nor strong drink, thou, nor thy sons with thee, when ye go into the tabernacle of the congregation, lest ye die: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations:
“You and your sons are not to drink wine or strong drink when you enter the Tent of Meeting, or else you will die; this is a permanent statute for the generations to come.
And Moses spake unto Aaron, and unto
Eleazar and unto
Ithamar, his
sons that were left, Take the meat offering that remaineth of the offerings of the LORD made by fire, and eat it without
leaven beside the altar: for it is most holy:
And Moses said to Aaron and his remaining
sons,
Eleazar and
Ithamar, “Take the grain offering that remains from the offerings made by fire to the LORD and eat it without
leaven beside the altar, because it is most holy.
And ye shall eat it in the holy place, because it is thy due, and thy sons’ due, of the sacrifices of the LORD made by fire: for so I am commanded.
You shall eat it in a holy place, because it is your share and your sons’ share of the offerings made by fire to the LORD; for this is what I have been commanded.
And the wave breast and
heave shoulder shall ye eat in a clean place; thou, and thy
sons, and thy daughters with thee: for they be thy due, and thy
sons’ due, which are given out of the sacrifices of peace offerings of the children of Israel.
And you and your
sons and daughters may eat the breast of the wave offering and the
thigh of the contribution in a
ceremonially clean place, because these portions have been assigned to you and your children from the peace offerings of the
sons of Israel.
The
heave shoulder and the wave breast shall they bring with the offerings made by fire of the fat, to wave it for a wave offering before the LORD; and it shall be thine, and thy
sons’ with thee, by a statute for ever; as the LORD hath commanded.
They are to bring the
thigh of the contribution and the breast of the wave offering, together with the fat portions of the offerings made by fire, to wave as a wave offering before the LORD. It will belong permanently to you and your children, as the LORD has commanded.”
And Moses
diligently sought the goat of the sin offering, and, behold, it was burnt: and he was
angry with
Eleazar and
Ithamar, the
sons of Aaron which were left alive, saying,
Later, Moses searched carefully for the goat of the sin offering, and behold, it had been burned up. He was
angry with
Eleazar and
Ithamar, Aaron’s remaining
sons, and asked,
Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a woman have conceived seed, and born a man child: then she shall be unclean seven days; according to the days of the separation for her
infirmity shall she be unclean.
“Say to the Israelites, ‘A woman who becomes
pregnant and gives birth to a
son will be unclean for seven days, as she is during the days of her
menstruation.
And when the days of her
purifying are fulfilled, for a
son, or for a daughter, she shall bring a lamb of the first year for a burnt offering, and a young
pigeon, or a
turtledove, for a sin offering, unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, unto the priest:
When the days of her
purification are complete, whether for a
son or for a daughter, she is to bring to the priest at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting a year-old lamb for a burnt offering and a young
pigeon or a
turtledove for a sin offering.
When a man shall have in the skin of his flesh a rising, a
scab, or a bright spot, and it be in the skin of his flesh like the plague of
leprosy; then he shall be brought unto Aaron the priest, or unto one of his
sons the priests:
“When someone has a swelling or
rash or bright spot on his skin that could become an
infectious skin disease, he must be brought to Aaron the priest or to one of his
sons who is a priest.
And the LORD spake unto Moses after the death of the two sons of Aaron, when they offered before the LORD, and died;
Now the LORD spoke to Moses after the death of two of Aaron’s sons when they approached the presence of the LORD.
Speak unto Aaron, and unto his sons, and unto all the children of Israel, and say unto them; This is the thing which the LORD hath commanded, saying,
“Speak to Aaron, his sons, and all the Israelites and tell them this is what the LORD has commanded:
The nakedness of thy son’s daughter, or of thy daughter’s daughter, even their nakedness thou shalt not uncover: for theirs is thine own nakedness.
You must not have sexual relations with your son’s daughter or your daughter’s daughter, for that would shame your family.
Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy daughter in law: she is thy son’s wife; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.
You must not have sexual relations with your daughter-in-law. She is your son’s wife; you are not to have sexual relations with her.
Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of a woman and her daughter, neither shalt thou take her
son’s daughter, or her daughter’s daughter, to uncover her nakedness; for they are her near
kinswomen: it is wickedness.
You must not have sexual relations with both a woman and her daughter. You are not to marry her
son’s daughter or her daughter’s daughter and have sexual relations with her. They are close relatives; it is
depraved.
And the LORD said unto Moses, Speak unto the priests the
sons of Aaron, and say unto them, There shall none be
defiled for the dead among his people:
Then the LORD said to Moses, “Speak to Aaron’s
sons, the priests, and tell them that a priest is not to
defile himself for a dead person among his people,
But for his
kin, that is near unto him, that is, for his mother, and for his father, and for his
son, and for his daughter, and for his brother,
except for his immediate family—his mother, father, son, daughter, or brother,
And Moses told it unto Aaron, and to his sons, and unto all the children of Israel.
Moses told this to Aaron and his sons and to all the Israelites.
Speak unto Aaron and to his
sons, that they separate themselves from the holy things of the children of Israel, and that they
profane not my holy name in those things which they
hallow unto me: I am the LORD.
“Tell Aaron and his
sons to treat with respect the sacred offerings that the Israelites have consecrated to Me, so that they do not
profane My holy name. I am the LORD.
Speak unto Aaron, and to his
sons, and unto all the children of Israel, and say unto them,
Whatsoever he be of the house of Israel, or of the strangers in Israel, that will offer his
oblation for all his vows, and for all his
freewill offerings, which they will offer unto the LORD for a burnt offering;
“Speak to Aaron and his
sons and all the Israelites and tell them, ‘Any man of the house of Israel or any foreign resident who presents a gift for a burnt offering to the LORD, whether to
fulfill a
vow or as a
freewill offering,
And it shall be Aaron’s and his sons’; and they shall eat it in the holy place: for it is most holy unto him of the offerings of the LORD made by fire by a perpetual statute.
It belongs to Aaron and his
sons, who are to eat it in a holy place; for it is to him a most holy part of the offerings made by fire to the LORD—his portion
forever.”
And the
son of an
Israelitish woman, whose father was an Egyptian, went out among the children of Israel: and this
son of the
Israelitish woman and a man of Israel
strove together in the camp;
Now the
son of an
Israelite mother and an Egyptian father went out among the Israelites, and a fight broke out in the camp between him and an
Israelite.
And the
Israelitish woman’s
son blasphemed the name of the LORD, and
cursed. And they brought him unto Moses: (and his mother’s name was Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of
Dan:)
The
son of the
Israelite woman
blasphemed the Name with a
curse. So they brought him to Moses. (His mother’s name was Shelomith daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of

And ye shall take them as an inheritance for your children after you, to
inherit them for a possession; they shall be your
bondmen for ever: but over your brethren the children of Israel, ye shall not rule one over another with rigour.
You may leave them to your
sons after you to
inherit as property; you can make them slaves for life. But as for your brothers, the Israelites, no man may rule harshly over his brother.
Either his uncle, or his uncle’s
son, may
redeem him, or any that is
nigh of
kin unto him of his family may
redeem him; or if he be able, he may
redeem himself.
either his uncle or cousin or any close relative from his clan may
redeem him. Or if he prospers, he may
redeem himself.
And ye shall eat the flesh of your sons, and the flesh of your daughters shall ye eat.
