weary land without water.

listen, and I have called to you but you would not answer,
Since the day that your fathers came forth out of the land of Egypt unto this day I have even sent unto you all my servants the prophets, daily rising up early and sending them:
From the day your fathers came out of the land of Egypt until this day, I have sent you all My servants the prophets again and again.
For I earnestly
protested unto your fathers in the day that I brought them up out of the land of Egypt, even unto this day, rising
early and
protesting, saying, Obey my voice.
For from the time I brought your fathers out of the land of Egypt until
today, I strongly
warned them again and again, saying, ‘Obey My voice.’
One
basket had very good figs, even like the figs that are first ripe: and the other
basket had very
naughty figs, which could not be eaten, they were so bad.

basket contained very poor figs, so bad they could not be eaten.
From the
thirteenth year of
Josiah the son of Amon king of Judah, even unto this day, that is the three and
twentieth year, the word of the LORD hath come unto me, and I have spoken unto you, rising
early and speaking; but ye have not
hearkened.
“From the
thirteenth year of
Josiah son of Amon king of Judah until this very day—twenty-three years—the word of the LORD has come to me, and I have spoken to you again and again, but you have not
listened.
And the LORD hath sent unto you all his servants the prophets, rising
early and sending them; but ye have not
hearkened, nor inclined your ear to hear.
And the LORD has sent all His servants the prophets to you again and again, but you have not
listened or inclined your ear to hear.
To
hearken to the words of my servants the prophets, whom I sent unto you, both rising up
early, and sending them, but ye have not
hearkened;
and if you do not
listen to the words of My servants the prophets, whom I have sent you again and again even though you did not
listen,
Because they have not
hearkened to my words, saith the LORD, which I sent unto them by my servants the prophets, rising up
early and sending them; but ye would not hear, saith the LORD.
I will do this because they have not
listened to My words, declares the LORD, which I sent to them again and again through My servants the prophets. And neither have you exiles
listened, declares the LORD.”
And they have turned unto me the back, and not the face: though I taught them, rising up

listen or
respond to discipline.

The words of Jonadab son of Rechab have been carried out. He commanded his sons not to drink wine, and they have not
drunk it to this very day because they have obeyed the command of their
forefather. But I have spoken to you again and again, and you have not obeyed Me!

early and sending them, saying, Return ye now every man from his evil way, and
amend your doings, and go not after other gods to serve them, and ye shall dwell in the land which I have given to you and to your fathers: but ye have not inclined your ear, nor
hearkened unto me.
Again and again I have sent you all My servants the prophets,
proclaiming: ‘Turn now, each of you, from your wicked ways, and correct your actions. Do not go after other gods to serve them. Live in the land that I have given to you and your fathers.’ But you have not inclined your ear or
listened to Me.
Howbeit I sent unto you all my servants the prophets, rising
early and sending them, saying, Oh, do not this
abominable thing that I
hate.
Yet I sent you all My servants the prophets again and again, saying: ‘Do not do this
detestable thing that I
hate.’

affliction they will earnestly seek Me.”
O Ephraim, what shall I do unto thee? O Judah, what shall I do unto thee? for your goodness is as a morning cloud, and as the
early dew it goeth away.
What shall I do with you, O Ephraim? What shall I do with you, O Judah? For your
loyalty is like a morning
mist, like the
early dew that vanishes.
Therefore they shall be as the morning cloud, and as the
early dew that passeth away, as the
chaff that is driven with the
whirlwind out of the floor, and as the smoke out of the
chimney.
Therefore they will be like the morning
mist, like the
early dew that vanishes, like
chaff blown from a
threshing floor, like smoke through an open window.

early, and corrupted all their doings.

despite all for which I punished her. But they rose
early to corrupt all their deeds.

Now ye
Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from
Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only.
And as you
Philippians know, in the
early days of the gospel, when I left
Macedonia, no church but you partnered with me in the matter of giving and receiving.
Remember the
early days that you were in the light. In those days, you
endured a great conflict in the face of suffering.
Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the
