hundred shekels of silver to his mother, his mother said, I had wholly dedicated the silver unto the LORD from my hand for my son, to make a
graven image and a
molten image: now therefore I will restore it unto thee.

hundred shekels of silver to his mother, she said, “I wholly
dedicate the silver to the LORD for my son’s benefit, to make a

hundred throughout all the tribes of Israel, and an
hundred of a thousand, and a thousand out of ten thousand, to
fetch victual for the people, that they may do, when they come to Gibeah of Benjamin, according to all the folly that they have wrought in Israel.
We will take ten men out of every
hundred from all the tribes of Israel, and a
hundred out of every thousand, and a thousand out of every ten thousand, to supply provisions for the army when they go to Gibeah in Benjamin to
punish them for the

They that were full have
hired out themselves for bread; and they that were
hungry ceased: so that the barren hath born seven; and she that hath many children is waxed feeble.
The well-fed
hire themselves out for food, but the
starving hunger no more. The barren woman gives birth to seven, but she who has many sons pines away.

Moreover, my father, see,
yea, see the
skirt of thy
robe in my hand: for in that I cut off the
skirt of thy
robe and killed thee not, know thou and see that there is neither evil nor
transgression in mine hand, and I have not
sinned against thee; yet thou
huntest my soul to take it.
See, my father, look at the corner of your
robe in my hand. For I cut it off, but I did not kill you. See and know that there is no evil or rebellion in my hands. I have not
sinned against you, even though you are
hunting me down to take my life.

flea, as when one
doth hunt a

So do not let my blood fall to the ground far from the presence of the LORD. For the king of Israel has come out to look for a
flea, like one who
hunts a
partridge in the mountains.”

shaved it every year because his hair got so heavy—he would
weigh it out to be two
hundred shekels, according to the royal standard.

Joab replied to the king, “May the LORD your God multiply the troops a
hundred times over, and may the eyes of my lord the king see it. But why does my lord the king want to do such a thing?”

Zif, which is the second month, that he began to build the house of the LORD.

cedar pillars, with
cedar beams upon the pillars.

Lebanon a
hundred cubits long, fifty cubits wide, and thirty cubits high, with four rows of
cedar pillars supporting the

belly which was by the network: and the pomegranates were two
hundred in rows round about upon the other
chapiter.
On the capitals of both pillars, just above the rounded projection next to the network, were the two
hundred pomegranates in rows
encircling each capital.
And four
hundred pomegranates for the two networks, even two rows of pomegranates for one network, to cover the two

Was it not told my lord what I did when
Jezebel slew the prophets of the LORD, how I
hid an
hundred men of the LORD’S prophets by fifty in a cave, and fed them with bread and water?
Was it not reported to my lord what I did when
Jezebel slaughtered the prophets of the LORD? I
hid a
hundred prophets of the LORD, fifty men per cave, and I provided them with food and water.
Now therefore send, and gather to me all Israel unto mount
Carmel, and the prophets of

Now
summon all Israel to meet me on Mount
Carmel, along with the four
hundred and fifty prophets of
Baal and the four
hundred prophets of Asherah who eat at
Jezebel’s table.”

Baal has four
hundred and fifty prophets.
Then he numbered the young men of the princes of the provinces, and they were two hundred and thirty two: and after them he numbered all the people, even all the children of Israel, being seven thousand.
So
Ahab assembled the young officers of the district governors, and there were 232 men. And after them, he assembled the rest of the
Israelite troops, 7,000 in all.
And they pitched one over against the other seven days. And so it was, that in the seventh day the battle was joined: and the children of Israel
slew of the Syrians an
hundred thousand
footmen in one day.
For seven days the armies camped opposite each other, and on the seventh day the battle
ensued, and the Israelites struck down the Arameans—a
hundred thousand foot soldiers in one day.
Then the king of Israel gathered the prophets together, about four
hundred men, and said unto them, Shall I go against
Ramoth-
gilead to battle, or shall I
forbear? And they said, Go up; for the Lord shall deliver it into the hand of the king.
So the king of Israel assembled the prophets, about four
hundred men, and asked them, “Should I go to war against
Ramoth-
gilead, or should I
refrain?” “Go up,” they replied, “and the Lord will deliver it into the hand of the king.”
And Mesha king of Moab was a
sheepmaster, and rendered unto the king of Israel an
hundred thousand lambs, and an
hundred thousand rams, with the wool.
Now Mesha king of Moab was a sheep breeder, and he would render to the king of Israel a hundred thousand lambs and the wool of a hundred thousand rams.
And when the king of Moab saw that the battle was too
sore for him, he took with him seven
hundred men that drew swords, to break through even unto the king of
Edom: but they could not.
When the king of Moab saw that the battle was too fierce for him, he took with him seven
hundred swordsmen to break through to the king of
Edom, but they could not prevail.
And his
servitor said, What, should I set this before an
hundred men? He said again, Give the people, that they may eat: for thus saith the LORD, They shall eat, and shall leave thereof.
But his servant asked, “How am I to set twenty
loaves before a
hundred men?” “Give it to the people to eat,” said
Elisha, “for this is what the LORD says: ‘They will eat and have some left over.’”
And the king arose in the night, and said unto his servants, I will now
shew you what the Syrians have done to us. They know that we be
hungry; therefore are they gone out of the camp to hide themselves in the field, saying, When they come out of the city, we shall catch them alive, and get into the city.
So the king got up in the night and said to his servants, “Let me tell you what the Arameans have done to us. They know we are
starving, so they have left the camp to hide in the field, thinking, ‘When they come out of the city, we will take them alive and enter the city.’”
And the seventh year Jehoiada sent and
fetched the rulers over
hundreds, with the captains and the guard, and brought them to him into the house of the LORD, and made a covenant with them, and took an oath of them in the house of the LORD, and shewed them the king’s son.
Then in the seventh year, Jehoiada sent for the commanders of hundreds, the Carites, and the guards, and had them brought into the house of the LORD. There he made a covenant with them and put them under oath. He showed them the king’s son
And the captains over the hundreds did according to all things that Jehoiada the priest commanded: and they took every man his men that were to come in on the sabbath, with them that should go out on the sabbath, and came to Jehoiada the priest.
So the commanders of hundreds did everything that Jehoiada the priest had ordered. Each of them took his men—those coming on duty on the Sabbath and those going off duty—and came to Jehoiada the priest.
And to the captains over hundreds did the priest give king David’s spears and shields, that were in the temple of the LORD.
Then the priest gave to the commanders of hundreds the spears and shields of King David from the house of the LORD.
But Jehoiada the priest commanded the captains of the hundreds, the officers of the host, and said unto them, Have her forth without the ranges: and him that followeth her kill with the sword. For the priest had said, Let her not be slain in the house of the LORD.
And Jehoiada the priest ordered the commanders of
hundreds in charge of the army, “Bring her out between the ranks, and put to the sword
anyone who follows her.” For the priest had said, “She must not be put to death in the house of the LORD.”
And he took the rulers over hundreds, and the captains, and the guard, and all the people of the land; and they brought down the king from the house of the LORD, and came by the way of the gate of the guard to the king’s house. And he sat on the throne of the kings.
He took with him the commanders of
hundreds, the Carites, the guards, and all the people of the land, and they brought the king down from the house of the LORD and entered the royal palace by way of the Gate of the Guards. Then
Joash took his seat on the royal throne,
