Berean Standard Bible BSB Bible
The LORD killeth, and maketh alive: he bringeth down to the grave, and bringeth up.
The LORD brings
death and gives life; He brings down to
Sheol and raises up.
If one man sin against another, the judge shall judge him: but if a man sin against the LORD, who shall intreat for him? Notwithstanding they
hearkened not unto the voice of their father, because the LORD would
slay them.
If a man sins against another man, God can
intercede for him; but if a man sins against the LORD, who can
intercede for him?” But they would not
listen to their father, since the LORD intended to put them to
death.
And his daughter in law,
Phinehas’ wife, was with child, near to be delivered: and when she heard the
tidings that the ark of God was taken, and that her father in law and her husband were dead, she bowed herself and
travailed; for her pains came upon her.
Now
Eli’s daughter-in-law, the wife of
Phinehas, was
pregnant and about to give birth. When she heard the news of the capture of God’s ark and the
deaths of her father-in-law and her husband, she
collapsed and gave birth, for her labor pains overtook her.
And about the time of her death the women that stood by her said unto her, Fear not; for thou hast born a son. But she answered not, neither did she regard it.
As she was dying, the women attending to her said, “Do not be afraid, for you have given birth to a son!” But she did not
respond or pay any
heed.
And the people said unto Samuel, Who is he that said, Shall Saul reign over us? bring the men, that we may put them to death.
Then the people said to Samuel, “Who said that Saul should not reign over us? Bring those men here so we can kill them!”
And Saul said, There shall not a man be put to death this day: for to day the LORD hath wrought salvation in Israel.
But Saul ordered, “No one shall be put to
death this day, for
today the LORD has worked salvation in Israel.”
Now go and
smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and
spare them not; but
slay both man and woman, infant and
suckling, ox and sheep,
camel and
ass.
Now go and attack the
Amalekites and
devote to destruction all that belongs to them. Do not
spare them, but put to
death men and women, children and infants, oxen and sheep, camels and
donkeys.’”
Then said Samuel, Bring ye
hither to me
Agag the king of the
Amalekites. And
Agag came unto him delicately. And
Agag said, Surely the bitterness of
death is past.
Then Samuel said, “Bring me
Agag king of the
Amalekites.”
Agag came to him
cheerfully, for he thought, “Surely the bitterness of
death is past.”
And Samuel came no more to see Saul until the day of his
death: nevertheless Samuel
mourned for Saul: and the LORD
repented that he had made Saul king over Israel.
And to the day of his
death, Samuel never again visited Saul. Samuel
mourned for Saul, and the LORD
regretted that He had made Saul king over Israel.
And Saul said, Thus shall ye say to David, The king desireth not any
dowry, but an hundred foreskins of the Philistines, to be
avenged of the king’s enemies. But Saul thought to make David fall by the hand of the Philistines.
Saul replied, “Say to David, ‘The king desires no other
dowry but a hundred
Philistine foreskins as
revenge on his enemies.’” But Saul intended to cause David’s
death at the hands of the Philistines.
Saul
listened to the voice of
Jonathan and
swore an oath: “As surely as the LORD lives, David will not be put to
death.”
And David
sware moreover, and said, Thy father certainly knoweth that I have found grace in thine eyes; and he saith, Let not
Jonathan know this, lest he be
grieved: but truly as the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, there is but a step between me and
death.
But David again
vowed, “Your father knows very well that I have found favor in your eyes, and he has said, ‘
Jonathan must not know of this, or he will be
grieved.’ As surely as the LORD lives and as you
yourself live, there is but a step between me and
death.”
And
Jonathan answered Saul his father, and said unto him, Wherefore shall he be slain? what hath he done?
“Why must he be put to
death?”
Jonathan replied. “What has he done?”
And David said unto
Abiathar, I knew it that day, when Doeg the
Edomite was there, that he would surely tell Saul: I have occasioned the
death of all the persons of thy father’s house.
Then David said to
Abiathar, “I knew that Doeg the
Edomite was there that day, and that he was sure to tell Saul. I myself am responsible for the lives of
everyone in your father’s house.
Now it came to pass after the
death of Saul, when David was returned from the slaughter of the
Amalekites, and David had abode two days in
Ziklag;
After the
death of Saul, David returned from the slaughter of the
Amalekites and stayed in
Ziklag two days.
Saul and
Jonathan were lovely and pleasant in their lives, and in their
death they were not divided: they were swifter than eagles, they were stronger than lions.
Saul and
Jonathan, beloved and delightful in life, were not divided in
death. They were swifter than eagles, they were stronger than lions.
When one told me, saying, Behold, Saul is dead, thinking to have brought good
tidings, I took hold of him, and
slew him in
Ziklag, who thought that I would have given him a reward for his
tidings:
when someone told me, ‘Look, Saul is dead,’ and thought he was a bearer of good news, I seized him and put him to
death at
Ziklag. That was his reward for his news!
Therefore Michal the daughter of Saul had no child unto the day of her death.
And Michal the daughter of Saul had no children to the day of her death.
And he
smote Moab, and measured them with a line, casting them down to the ground; even with two lines measured he to put to
death, and with one full line to keep alive. And so the Moabites became David’s servants, and brought gifts.
David also defeated the Moabites, made them lie down on the ground, and measured them off with a cord. He measured off with two lengths those to be put to
death, and with one length those to be
spared. So the Moabites became subject to David and brought him tribute.
And the soul of king David longed to go forth unto
Absalom: for he was comforted concerning Amnon, seeing he was dead.
And King David longed to go to
Absalom, for he had been
consoled over Amnon’s
death.
And, behold, the whole family is risen against thine
handmaid, and they said, Deliver him that
smote his brother, that we may kill him, for the life of his brother whom he
slew; and we will destroy the heir also: and so they shall
quench my coal which is left, and shall not leave to my husband neither name nor remainder upon the earth.
Now the whole clan has risen up against your
maidservant and said, ‘Hand over the one who struck down his brother, that we may put him to
death for the life of the brother whom he killed. Then we will cut off the heir as well!’ So they would
extinguish my one remaining
ember by not preserving my husband’s name or
posterity on the earth.”
And Ittai answered the king, and said, As the LORD liveth, and as my lord the king liveth, surely in what place my lord the king shall be, whether in death or life, even there also will thy servant be.
But Ittai answered the king, “As surely as the LORD lives, and as my lord the king lives, wherever my lord the king may be, whether it means life or death, there will your servant be!”
But
Abishai the son of Zeruiah answered and said, Shall not Shimei be put to
death for this, because he
cursed the LORD’S
anointed?
But
Abishai son of Zeruiah said, “Shouldn’t Shimei be put to
death for this, because he
cursed the LORD’s
anointed?”
And David said, What have I to do with you, ye sons of Zeruiah, that ye should this day be
adversaries unto me? shall there any man be put to
death this day in Israel? for do not I know that I am this day king over Israel?
And David replied, “Sons of Zeruiah, what have I to do with you, that you should be my
adversaries today? Should any man be put to
death in Israel
today? Am I not indeed aware that
today I am king over Israel?”
For all of my father’s house were but dead men before my lord the king: yet
didst thou set thy servant among them that did eat at thine own table. What right therefore have I yet to cry any more unto the king?
For all the house of my
grandfather deserves
death from my lord the king, yet you have set your servant among those who eat at your table. What further right, then, do I have to keep appealing to the king?”
And David came to his house at Jerusalem; and the king took the ten women his concubines, whom he had left to keep the house, and put them in ward, and fed them, but went not in unto them. So they were shut up unto the day of their
death, living in
widowhood.
When David returned to his palace in Jerusalem, he took the ten concubines he had left to care for the palace, and he placed them in a house under guard. He provided for them, but he no longer
slept with them. They were confined until the day of their
death, living as widows.
And the Gibeonites said unto him, We will have no silver nor gold of Saul, nor of his house; neither for us shalt thou kill any man in Israel. And he said, What ye shall say, that will I do for you.
The Gibeonites said to him, “We need no silver or gold from Saul or his house, nor should you put to
death anyone in Israel for us.” “Whatever you ask, I will do for you,” he replied.
And he delivered them into the hands of the Gibeonites, and they
hanged them in the hill before the LORD: and they fell all seven together, and were put to
death in the days of harvest, in the first days, in the beginning of barley harvest.
And he delivered them into the hands of the Gibeonites, and they
hanged them on the hill before the LORD. So all seven of them fell together; they were put to
death in the first days of the harvest, at the beginning of the barley harvest.
When the waves of death compassed me, the floods of ungodly men made me afraid;
The sorrows of
hell compassed me about; the snares of
death prevented me;
And, behold, thou hast with thee Shimei the son of
Gera, a
Benjamite of Bahurim, which
cursed me with a
grievous curse in the day when I went to
Mahanaim: but he came down to meet me at Jordan, and I
sware to him by the LORD, saying, I will not put thee to
death with the sword.
Keep an eye on Shimei the son of
Gera, the
Benjamite from Bahurim who is with you. He called down bitter curses against me on the day I went to
Mahanaim, but when he came down to meet me at the Jordan, I
swore to him by the LORD: ‘I will never put you to the sword.’
Now therefore, as the LORD liveth, which hath established me, and set me on the throne of David my father, and who hath made me an house, as he promised, Adonijah shall be put to death this day.
And now, as surely as the LORD lives—the One who established me, who set me on the throne of my father David, and who founded for me a dynasty as He promised—surely Adonijah shall be put to
death today!”
And unto
Abiathar the priest said the king, Get thee to Anathoth, unto thine own fields; for thou art worthy of
death: but I will not at this time put thee to
death, because thou barest the ark of the Lord GOD before David my father, and because thou hast been
afflicted in all wherein my father was
afflicted.
Then the king said to
Abiathar the priest, “Go back to your fields in Anathoth. Even though you deserve to die, I will not put you to
death at this time, since you carried the ark of the Lord GOD before my father David, and you suffered through all that my father suffered.”
And God said unto him, Because thou hast asked this thing, and hast not asked for
thyself long life; neither hast asked riches for
thyself, nor hast asked the life of thine enemies; but hast asked for
thyself understanding to
discern judgment;
So God said to him, “Since you have asked for this instead of requesting long life or wealth for
yourself or
death for your enemies—but you have asked for
discernment to
administer justice—
Solomon sought therefore to kill
Jeroboam. And
Jeroboam arose, and fled into Egypt, unto
Shishak king of Egypt, and was in Egypt until the
death of Solomon.
Solomon therefore sought to kill
Jeroboam. But
Jeroboam arose and fled to Egypt, to
Shishak king of Egypt, where he remained until the
death of Solomon.
Then king
Rehoboam sent Adoram, who was over the tribute; and all Israel stoned him with stones, that he died. Therefore king
Rehoboam made speed to get him up to his
chariot, to
flee to Jerusalem.
Then King
Rehoboam sent out Adoram, who was in charge of the forced labor, but all Israel stoned him to
death. And King
Rehoboam mounted his
chariot in
haste and escaped to Jerusalem.
And she said unto
Elijah, What have I to do with thee, O thou man of God? art thou come unto me to call my sin to
remembrance, and to
slay my son?
“O man of God,” said the woman to
Elijah, “what have you done to me? Have you come to remind me of my iniquity and cause the
death of my son?”
And he said, What have I
sinned, that thou wouldest deliver thy servant into the hand of
Ahab, to
slay me?
But
Obadiah replied, “How have I
sinned, that you are handing your servant over to
Ahab to put me to
death?
And it shall come to pass, that him that escapeth the sword of
Hazael shall
Jehu slay: and him that escapeth from the sword of
Jehu shall
Elisha slay.
And set two men, sons of
Belial, before him, to bear witness against him, saying, Thou
didst blaspheme God and the king. And then carry him out, and stone him, that he may die.
But seat two scoundrels opposite him and have them
testify, ‘You have
cursed both God and the king!’ Then take him out and stone him to
death.”
And there came in two men, children of
Belial, and sat before him: and the men of
Belial witnessed against him, even against
Naboth, in the presence of the people, saying,
Naboth did
blaspheme God and the king. Then they carried him forth out of the city, and stoned him with stones, that he died.
And the two scoundrels came in and sat opposite
Naboth, and these men
testified against him before the people, saying, “
Naboth has
cursed both God and the king!” So they took him outside the city and stoned him to
death.
Then they sent to
Jezebel, saying,
Naboth is stoned, and is dead.
Then they sent word to
Jezebel: “
Naboth has been stoned to
death.”
And it came to pass, when
Jezebel heard that
Naboth was stoned, and was dead, that
Jezebel said to
Ahab, Arise, take possession of the
vineyard of
Naboth the Jezreelite, which he refused to give thee for money: for
Naboth is not alive, but dead.
When
Jezebel heard that
Naboth had been stoned to
death, she said to
Ahab, “Get up and take possession of the
vineyard of
Naboth the Jezreelite, who refused to give it to you for silver. For
Naboth is no longer alive, but dead.”
Then Moab rebelled against Israel after the
death of
Ahab.
After the
death of
Ahab, Moab rebelled against Israel.
And he went forth unto the spring of the waters, and cast the salt in there, and said, Thus saith the LORD, I have
healed these waters; there shall not be from thence any more
death or barren land.
and
Elisha went out to the spring, cast the salt into it, and said, “This is what the LORD says: ‘I have
healed this water. No longer will it cause
death or unfruitfulness.’”
But it came to pass, when
Ahab was dead, that the king of Moab rebelled against the king of Israel.
But after the
death of
Ahab, the king of Moab rebelled against the king of Israel.
So they poured out for the men to eat. And it came to pass, as they were eating of the
pottage, that they
cried out, and said, O thou man of God, there is
death in the pot. And they could not eat thereof.
And they poured it out for the men to eat, but when they tasted the
stew they
cried out, “There is
death in the pot, O man of God!” And they could not eat it.
And ye shall compass the king round about, every man with his weapons in his hand: and he that cometh within the ranges, let him be slain: and be ye with the king as he goeth out and as he cometh in.
You must
surround the king with weapons in hand, and
anyone who approaches the ranks must be put to
death. You must stay close to the king wherever he goes.”
But Jehoiada the priest commanded the captains of the hundreds, the officers of the host, and said unto them, Have her forth without the ranges: and him that followeth her kill with the sword. For the priest had said, Let her not be slain in the house of the LORD.
And Jehoiada the priest ordered the commanders of hundreds in charge of the army, “Bring her out between the ranks, and put to the sword
anyone who follows her.” For the priest had said, “She must not be put to
death in the house of the LORD.”
And they laid hands on her; and she went by the way by the which the horses came into the king’s house: and there was she slain.
So they seized
Athaliah as she reached the horses’ entrance to the palace grounds, and there she was put to
death.
But the children of the murderers he
slew not: according unto that which is written in the book of the law of Moses, wherein the LORD commanded, saying, The fathers shall not be put to
death for the children, nor the children be put to
death for the fathers; but every man shall be put to
death for his own sin.
Yet he did not put the sons of the murderers to death, but acted according to what is written in the Book of the Law of Moses, where the LORD commanded: “Fathers must not be put to death for their children, and children must not be put to death for their fathers; each is to die for his own sin.”
And
Amaziah the son of
Joash king of Judah lived after the
death of Jehoash son of
Jehoahaz king of Israel fifteen years.
Amaziah son of
Joash king of Judah lived for fifteen years after the
death of Jehoash son of
Jehoahaz king of Israel.
And the LORD
smote the king, so that he was a
leper unto the day of his
death, and dwelt in a several house. And Jotham the king’s son was over the house, judging the people of the land.
And the LORD
afflicted the king with
leprosy until the day he died, so that he lived in a separate house while his son Jotham had charge of the palace and governed the people of the land.
And the king of Assyria
hearkened unto him: for the king of Assyria went up against Damascus, and took it, and carried the people of it
captive to Kir, and
slew Rezin.
So the king of Assyria
responded to him, marched up to Damascus, and captured it. He took its people to Kir as
captives and put Rezin to
death.
In those days was
Hezekiah sick unto
death. And the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz came to him, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Set thine house in order; for thou shalt die, and not live.
In those days
Hezekiah became
mortally ill. The prophet Isaiah son of Amoz came to him and said, “This is what the LORD says: ‘Put your house in order, for you are about to die; you will not recover.’”
And the king of Babylon
smote them, and
slew them at Riblah in the land of
Hamath. So Judah was carried away out of their land.
There at Riblah in the land of
Hamath, the king of Babylon struck them down and put them to
death. So Judah was taken into exile, away from its own land.
The sons of Judah; Er, and Onan, and Shelah: which three were born unto him of the daughter of Shua the Canaanitess. And Er, the
firstborn of Judah, was evil in the sight of the LORD; and he
slew him.
The sons of Judah: Er, Onan, and Shelah. These three were born to him by Bath-shua the
Canaanite. Er, Judah’s
firstborn, was wicked in the sight of the LORD, who put him to
death.
And enquired not of the LORD: therefore he
slew him, and turned the kingdom unto David the son of
Jesse.
and he failed to inquire of the LORD. So the LORD put him to
death and turned the kingdom over to David son of
Jesse.
And David said, Solomon my son is young and tender, and the house that is to be builded for the LORD must be exceeding
magnifical, of fame and of glory throughout all countries: I will therefore now make preparation for it. So David prepared abundantly before his
death.
And David said, “My son Solomon is young and inexperienced, and the house to be built for the LORD must be exceedingly magnificent—famous and glorious throughout all lands. Therefore I must make preparations for it.” So David made
lavish preparations before his
death.
And God said to Solomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth, or honour, nor the life of thine enemies, neither yet hast asked long life; but hast asked wisdom and knowledge for
thyself, that thou mayest judge my people, over whom I have made thee king:
God said to Solomon, “Since this was in your heart instead of requesting riches or wealth or glory for
yourself or
death for your enemies—and since you have not even requested long life but have asked for wisdom and knowledge to
govern My people over whom I have made you king—
Then king
Rehoboam sent Hadoram that was over the tribute; and the children of Israel stoned him with stones, that he died. But king
Rehoboam made speed to get him up to his
chariot, to
flee to Jerusalem.
Then King
Rehoboam sent out Hadoram, who was in charge of the forced labor, but the Israelites stoned him to
death. And King
Rehoboam mounted his
chariot in
haste and escaped to Jerusalem.
That
whosoever would not seek the LORD God of Israel should be put to
death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.
And
whoever would not seek the LORD, the God of Israel, would be put to
death, whether young or old, man or woman.
Wherefore he did evil in the sight of the LORD like the house of
Ahab: for they were his counsellors after the
death of his father to his destruction.
And he did evil in the sight of the LORD, as the house of
Ahab had done, for to his destruction they were his counselors after the
death of his father.
And he sought
Ahaziah: and they caught him, (for he was
hid in Samaria,) and brought him to
Jehu: and when they had slain him, they buried him: Because, said they, he is the son of
Jehoshaphat, who sought the LORD with all his heart. So the house of
Ahaziah had no power to keep still the kingdom.
Then
Jehu looked for
Ahaziah, and
Jehu’s soldiers captured him while he was hiding in Samaria. So
Ahaziah was brought to
Jehu and put to
death. They buried him, for they said, “He is the grandson of
Jehoshaphat, who sought the LORD with all his heart.” So no one was left from the house of
Ahaziah with the strength to rule the kingdom.
And the Levites shall compass the king round about, every man with his weapons in his hand; and
whosoever else cometh into the house, he shall be put to
death: but be ye with the king when he cometh in, and when he goeth out.
The Levites must
surround the king with weapons in hand, and
anyone who enters the temple must be put to
death. You must stay close to the king wherever he goes.”
Then Jehoiada the priest brought out the captains of hundreds that were set over the host, and said unto them, Have her forth of the ranges: and
whoso followeth her, let him be slain with the sword. For the priest said,
Slay her not in the house of the LORD.
And Jehoiada the priest sent out the commanders of hundreds in charge of the army, saying, “Bring her out between the ranks, and put to the sword
anyone who follows her.” For the priest had said, “She must not be put to
death in the house of the LORD.”
So they laid hands on her; and when she was come to the entering of the horse gate by the king’s house, they
slew her there.
So they seized
Athaliah as she reached the entrance of the Horse Gate to the palace grounds, and there they put her to
death.
Now after the
death of Jehoiada came the princes of Judah, and made
obeisance to the king. Then the king
hearkened unto them.
After the
death of Jehoiada, however, the officials of Judah came and paid
homage to the king, and he
listened to them.
But he
slew not their children, but did as it is written in the law in the book of Moses, where the LORD commanded, saying, The fathers shall not die for the children, neither shall the children die for the fathers, but every man shall die for his own sin.
Yet he did not put their sons to death, but acted according to what is written in the Law, in the Book of Moses, where the LORD commanded: “Fathers must not be put to death for their children, and children must not be put to death for their fathers; each is to die for his own sin.”
Amaziah son of
Joash king of Judah lived for fifteen years after the
death of Jehoash son of
Jehoahaz king of Israel.
And Uzziah the king was a
leper unto the day of his
death, and dwelt in a several house, being a
leper; for he was cut off from the house of the LORD: and Jotham his son was over the king’s house, judging the people of the land.
So King Uzziah was a
leper until the day of his
death. He lived in
isolation,
leprous and cut off from the house of the LORD, while his son Jotham had charge of the royal palace to
govern the people of the land.
Is not
Hezekiah misleading you to give you over to
death by famine and
thirst when he says, ‘The LORD our God will deliver us from the hand of the king of Assyria?’
In those days
Hezekiah was sick to the
death, and prayed unto the LORD: and he spake unto him, and he gave him a sign.
In those days
Hezekiah became
mortally ill. So he prayed to the LORD, who spoke to him and gave him a sign.
And
Hezekiah slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the chiefest of the
sepulchres of the sons of David: and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem did him honour at his
death. And
Manasseh his son reigned in his
stead.
And
Hezekiah rested with his fathers and was buried in the upper tombs of David’s descendants. All Judah and the people of Jerusalem paid him honor at his
death. And his son
Manasseh reigned in his place.
And
whosoever will not do the law of thy God, and the law of the king, let judgment be executed speedily upon him, whether it be unto
death, or to
banishment, or to
confiscation of goods, or to imprisonment.
If
anyone does not keep the law of your God and the law of the king, let a strict judgment be executed against him, whether
death,
banishment,
confiscation of property, or imprisonment.
All the king’s servants, and the people of the king’s provinces, do know, that
whosoever, whether man or woman, shall come unto the king into the inner court, who is not called, there is one law of his to put him to
death, except such to whom the king shall hold out the golden
sceptre, that he may live: but I have not been called to come in unto the king these thirty days.
“All the royal officials and the people of the king’s provinces know that one law applies to every man or woman who approaches the king in the inner court without being summoned—that he be put to
death. Only if the king extends the gold
scepter may that person live. But I have not been summoned to appear before the king for the past thirty days.”
For we are sold, I and my people, to be destroyed, to be slain, and to perish. But if we had been sold for
bondmen and
bondwomen, I had held my tongue, although the enemy could not
countervail the king’s damage.
For my people and I have been sold out to destruction,
death, and
annihilation. If we had merely been sold as menservants and maidservants, I would have remained silent, because no such distress would
justify burdening the king.”
For the Jews that were in
Shushan gathered themselves together on the
fourteenth day also of the month
Adar, and
slew three hundred men at
Shushan; but on the prey they laid not their hand.
On the
fourteenth day of the month of
Adar, the Jews in
Susa came together again and put to
death three hundred men there, but they did not lay a hand on the
plunder.
Let darkness and the shadow of
death stain it; let a cloud dwell upon it; let the blackness of the day
terrify it.
May darkness and
gloom reclaim it, and a cloud settle over it; may the blackness of the day
overwhelm it.
Which long for
death, but it cometh not; and
dig for it more than for
hid treasures;
who long for
death that does not come, and search for it like hidden
treasure,
In famine he shall
redeem thee from
death: and in war from the power of the sword.
In famine He will
redeem you from
death, and in battle from the stroke of the sword.
So that my soul chooseth
strangling, and
death rather than my life.
When the
scourge brings sudden
death, He mocks the
despair of the innocent.
Before I go whence I shall not return, even to the land of darkness and the shadow of death;
before I go—never to return— to a land of darkness and
gloom,
A land of darkness, as darkness itself; and of the shadow of death, without any order, and where the light is as darkness.
to a land of utter darkness, of deep shadow and disorder, where even the light is like darkness.”
He discovereth deep things out of darkness, and bringeth out to light the shadow of death.
He reveals the deep things of darkness and brings deep shadows into light.
My face is foul with
weeping, and my eyelids is the shadow of
death;
My face is red with
weeping, and deep shadows ring my eyes;
It devours patches of his skin; the
firstborn of
death devours his limbs.
For the morning is to them even as the shadow of death: if one know them, they are in the terrors of the shadow of death.
For to them, deep darkness is their morning; surely they are friends with the terrors of darkness!
