Berean Standard Bible BSB Bible
Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If any man of you or of your
posterity shall be
unclean by reason of a dead body, or be in a journey
afar off, yet he shall keep the
passover unto the LORD.
“Tell the Israelites: ‘When any one of you or your descendants is
unclean because of a dead body, or is away on a journey, he may still observe the
Passover to the LORD.
Every thing that openeth the
matrix in all flesh, which they bring unto the LORD, whether it be of men or beasts, shall be thine: nevertheless the
firstborn of man shalt thou surely
redeem, and the
firstling of
unclean beasts shalt thou
redeem.
The
firstborn of every
womb, whether man or beast, that is offered to the LORD belongs to you. But you must surely
redeem every
firstborn son and every
firstborn male of
unclean animals.
Then the priest shall wash his clothes, and he shall
bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he shall come into the camp, and the priest shall be
unclean until the even.
Then the priest must wash his clothes and
bathe his body in water; after that he may enter the camp, but he will be
ceremonially unclean until evening.
And he that burneth her shall wash his clothes in water, and
bathe his flesh in water, and shall be
unclean until the even.
The one who burned the
heifer must also wash his clothes and
bathe his body in water, and he too will be
ceremonially unclean until evening.
And he that gathereth the ashes of the
heifer shall wash his clothes, and be
unclean until the even: and it shall be unto the children of Israel, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among them, for a statute for ever.
The man who has gathered up the ashes of the
heifer must also wash his clothes, and he will be
ceremonially unclean until evening. This is a permanent statute for the Israelites and for the foreigner residing among them.
He that toucheth the dead body of any man shall be unclean seven days.
Whoever touches any dead body will be
unclean for seven days.
Whosoever toucheth the dead body of any man that is dead, and purifieth not himself, defileth the tabernacle of the LORD; and that soul shall be cut off from Israel: because the water of separation was not
sprinkled upon him, he shall be
unclean; his
uncleanness is yet upon him.
Anyone who touches a human
corpse and fails to
purify himself defiles the tabernacle of the LORD. That person must be cut off from Israel. He remains
unclean, because the water of
purification has not been
sprinkled on him, and his
uncleanness is still on him.
This is the law, when a man dieth in a tent: all that come into the tent, and all that is in the tent, shall be unclean seven days.
This is the law when a person dies in a tent:
Everyone who enters the tent and
everyone already in the tent will be
unclean for seven days,
And every open vessel, which hath no covering bound upon it, is unclean.
and any open container without a
lid fastened on it is
unclean.
And
whosoever toucheth one that is slain with a sword in the open fields, or a dead body, or a bone of a man, or a grave, shall be
unclean seven days.
Anyone in the open field who touches someone who has been killed by the sword or has died of natural causes, or
anyone who touches a human bone or a grave, will be
unclean for seven days.
And for an
unclean person they shall take of the ashes of the burnt
heifer of
purification for sin, and running water shall be put
thereto in a vessel:
For the
purification of the
unclean person, take some of the ashes of the burnt sin offering, put them in a
jar, and pour fresh water over them.
And the clean person shall
sprinkle upon the
unclean on the third day, and on the seventh day: and on the seventh day he shall
purify himself, and wash his clothes, and
bathe himself in water, and shall be clean at even.
The man who is
ceremonially clean is to
sprinkle the
unclean person on the third day and on the seventh day. After he purifies the
unclean person on the seventh day, the one being
cleansed must wash his clothes and
bathe in water, and that evening he will be clean.
But the man that shall be
unclean, and shall not
purify himself, that soul shall be cut off from among the congregation, because he hath
defiled the sanctuary of the LORD: the water of separation hath not been
sprinkled upon him; he is
unclean.
But if a person who is
unclean does not
purify himself, he will be cut off from the assembly, because he has
defiled the sanctuary of the LORD. The water of
purification has not been
sprinkled on him; he is
unclean.
And it shall be a perpetual statute unto them, that he that sprinkleth the water of separation shall wash his clothes; and he that toucheth the water of separation shall be unclean until even.
This is a permanent statute for the people: The one who sprinkles the water of
purification must wash his clothes, and
whoever touches the water of
purification will be
unclean until evening.
And
whatsoever the
unclean person toucheth shall be
unclean; and the soul that toucheth it shall be
unclean until even.
Anything the
unclean person touches will become
unclean, and
anyone who touches it will be
unclean until evening.”
Notwithstanding thou mayest kill and eat flesh in all thy gates,
whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, according to the blessing of the LORD thy God which he hath given thee: the
unclean and the clean may eat thereof, as of the
roebuck, and as of the
hart.
But whenever you want, you may slaughter and eat meat within any of your gates, according to the blessing the LORD your God has given you. Both the
ceremonially clean and
unclean may eat it as they would a
gazelle or deer,
Even as the
roebuck and the
hart is eaten, so thou shalt eat them: the
unclean and the clean shall eat of them alike.
Indeed, you may eat it as you would eat a
gazelle or deer; both the
ceremonially unclean and the clean may eat it.
Nevertheless these ye shall not eat of them that
chew the
cud, or of them that divide the
cloven hoof; as the
camel, and the
hare, and the
coney: for they
chew the
cud, but divide not the
hoof; therefore they are
unclean unto you.
But of those that
chew the
cud or have a completely divided
hoof, you are not to eat the following: the
camel, the
rabbit, or the rock
badger.
And the
swine, because it divideth the
hoof, yet cheweth not the
cud, it is
unclean unto you: ye shall not eat of their flesh, nor touch their dead
carcase.
Although they
chew the
cud, they do not have a divided
hoof. They are
unclean for you, as well as the pig; though it has a divided
hoof, it does not
chew the
cud. It is
unclean for you. You must not eat its meat or touch its
carcass.
And
whatsoever hath not fins and scales ye may not eat; it is
unclean unto you.
but you may not eat anything that does not have fins and scales; it is unclean for you.
And every
creeping thing that flieth is
unclean unto you: they shall not be eaten.
All flying insects are unclean for you; they may not be eaten.
Thou shalt eat it within thy gates: the
unclean and the clean person shall eat it alike, as the
roebuck, and as the
hart.
Eat it within your gates; both the
ceremonially unclean and clean may eat it as they would a
gazelle or a deer.
If there be among you any man, that is not clean by reason of uncleanness that chanceth him by night, then shall he go abroad out of the camp, he shall not come within the camp:
If any man among you becomes
unclean because of a
nocturnal emission, he must leave the camp and stay outside.
For the LORD thy God walketh in the midst of thy camp, to deliver thee, and to give up thine enemies before thee; therefore shall thy camp be holy: that he see no unclean thing in thee, and turn away from thee.
For the LORD your God walks throughout your camp to protect you and deliver your enemies to you. Your camp must be holy, lest He see anything unclean among you and turn away from you.
When a man hath taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favour in his eyes, because he hath found some
uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of
divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house.
If a man marries a woman, but she becomes displeasing to him because he finds some
indecency in her, he may write her a
certificate of
divorce, hand it to her, and send her away from his house.
I have not eaten thereof in my
mourning, neither have I taken away ought thereof for any
unclean use, nor given ought thereof for the dead: but I have
hearkened to the voice of the LORD my God, and have done according to all that thou hast commanded me.
I have not eaten any of the sacred portion while in
mourning, or removed any of it while
unclean, or offered any of it for the dead. I have obeyed the LORD my God; I have done everything You commanded me.
Notwithstanding, if the land of your possession be
unclean, then pass ye over unto the land of the possession of the LORD, wherein the LORD’S tabernacle dwelleth, and take possession among us: but
rebel not against the LORD, nor
rebel against us, in building you an altar beside the altar of the LORD our God.
If indeed the land of your inheritance is
unclean, then cross over to the land of the LORD’s possession, where the LORD’s tabernacle stands, and take possession of it among us. But do not
rebel against the LORD or against us by building for
yourselves an altar other than the altar of the LORD our God.
Now therefore
beware, I pray thee, and drink not wine nor strong drink, and eat not any
unclean thing:
Now please be careful not to drink wine or strong drink, and not to eat anything unclean.
But he said unto me, Behold, thou shalt conceive, and bear a son; and now drink no wine nor strong drink, neither eat any
unclean thing: for the child shall be a
Nazarite to God from the
womb to the day of his death.
But he said to me, ‘Behold, you will conceive and give birth to a son. Now, therefore, do not drink wine or strong drink, and do not eat anything
unclean, because the boy will be a
Nazirite to God from the
womb until the day of his death.’”
She may not eat of any thing that cometh of the vine, neither let her drink wine or strong drink, nor eat any unclean thing: all that I commanded her let her observe.
She must not eat anything that comes from the vine, nor drink any wine or strong drink, nor eat anything unclean. She must do everything I have commanded her.”
Nevertheless Saul spake not any thing that day: for he thought, Something hath
befallen him, he is not clean; surely he is not clean.
Saul said nothing that day because he thought, “Something has happened to David to make him
ceremonially unclean—surely he is
unclean.”
And David sent messengers, and took her; and she came in unto him, and he lay with her; for she was
purified from her
uncleanness: and she returned unto her house.
Then David sent messengers to get her, and when she came to him, he
slept with her. (Now she had just
purified herself from her
uncleanness.) Then she returned home.
And he set the
porters at the gates of the house of the LORD, that none which was
unclean in any thing should enter in.
He stationed gatekeepers at the gates of the house of the LORD, so that nothing unclean could enter for any reason.
And the priests went into the inner part of the house of the LORD, to
cleanse it, and brought out all the
uncleanness that they found in the temple of the LORD into the court of the house of the LORD. And the Levites took it, to carry it out abroad into the
brook Kidron.
So the priests went inside the house of the LORD to
cleanse it, and they brought out to the
courtyard all the
unclean things that they found in the temple of the LORD. Then the Levites took these things and carried them out to the Kidron Valley.
For there were many in the congregation that were not
sanctified: therefore the Levites had the charge of the killing of the passovers for every one that was not clean, to
sanctify them unto the LORD.
Since there were many in the assembly who had not consecrated themselves, the Levites were in charge of slaughtering the
Passover lambs for every
unclean person to
consecrate the lambs to the LORD.
These sought their register among those that were reckoned by
genealogy, but they were not found: therefore were they, as
polluted, put from the priesthood.
These men searched for their family records, but they could not find them and so were excluded from the priesthood as unclean.
And the children of Israel, which were come again out of captivity, and all such as had separated themselves unto them from the
filthiness of the heathen of the land, to seek the LORD God of Israel, did eat,
The Israelites who had returned from exile
ate it, together with all who had separated themselves from the
uncleanness of the peoples of the land to seek the LORD, the God of Israel.
Which thou hast commanded by thy servants the prophets, saying, The land, unto which ye go to possess it, is an
unclean land with the
filthiness of the people of the lands, with their abominations, which have filled it from one end to another with their
uncleanness.
that You gave through Your servants the prophets, saying: ‘The land that you are entering to possess is a land
polluted by the impurity of its peoples and the abominations with which they have filled it from end to end.
These sought their register among those that were reckoned by
genealogy, but it was not found: therefore were they, as
polluted, put from the priesthood.
These men searched for their family records, but they could not find them and so were excluded from the priesthood as unclean.
Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? not one.
Who can bring out clean from unclean? No one!
They die in youth, and their life is among the unclean.
They die in their youth, among the male
shrine prostitutes.
All things come alike to all: there is one event to the righteous, and to the wicked; to the good and to the clean, and to the
unclean; to him that sacrificeth, and to him that sacrificeth not: as is the good, so is the
sinner; and he that sweareth, as he that feareth an oath.
It is the same for all: There is a common fate for the righteous and the wicked, for the good and the bad, for the clean and the
unclean, for the one who sacrifices and the one who does not. As it is for the good, so it is for the
sinner; as it is for the one who makes a
vow, so it is for the one who refuses to take a
vow.
Then said I,
Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of
unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of
unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.
Then I said: “
Woe is me, for I am ruined, because I am a man of
unclean lips dwelling among a people of
unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the LORD of Hosts.”
And an
highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of
holiness; the
unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the
wayfaring men, though fools, shall not
err therein.
And there will be a
highway called the Way of
Holiness. The
unclean will not travel it— only those who walk in the Way— and fools will not
stray onto it.
Awake,
awake; put on thy strength, O
Zion; put on thy beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city: for henceforth there shall no more come into thee the
uncircumcised and the
unclean.
Depart ye, depart ye, go ye out from thence, touch no unclean thing; go ye out of the midst of her; be ye clean, that bear the vessels of the LORD.
Depart, depart, go out from there! Touch no
unclean thing; come out from it,
purify yourselves, you who carry the vessels of the LORD.
But we are all as an
unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as
filthy rags; and we all do
fade as a leaf; and our
iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.
Each of us has become like something
unclean, and all our righteous acts are like
filthy rags; we all wither like a leaf, and our
iniquities carry us away like the wind.
I have seen thine
adulteries, and thy neighings, the
lewdness of thy
whoredom, and thine abominations on the hills in the fields.
Woe unto thee, O Jerusalem!
wilt thou not be made clean? when shall it once be?
Her
filthiness is in her skirts; she remembereth not her last end; therefore she came down wonderfully: she had no comforter. O LORD, behold my
affliction: for the enemy hath
magnified himself.
Her
uncleanness stains her skirts; she did not consider her end. Her
downfall was
astounding; there was no one to comfort her. Look, O LORD, on my
affliction, for the enemy has triumphed!
Zion spreadeth forth her hands, and there is none to comfort her: the LORD hath commanded concerning Jacob, that his
adversaries should be round about him: Jerusalem is as a
menstruous woman among them.
Zion stretches out her hands, but there is no one to comfort her. The LORD has decreed against Jacob that his neighbors become his foes. Jerusalem has become an
unclean thing among them.
They
cried unto them, Depart ye; it is
unclean; depart, depart, touch not: when they fled away and
wandered, they said among the heathen, They shall no more
sojourn there.
“Go away!
Unclean!” men
shouted at them. “Away, away! Do not touch us!” So they fled and
wandered. Among the nations it was said, “They can stay here no longer.”
Then said I,
Ah Lord GOD! behold, my soul hath not been
polluted: for from my youth up even till now have I not eaten of that which dieth of itself, or is
torn in pieces; neither came there
abominable flesh into my mouth.
“
Ah, Lord GOD,” I said, “I have never
defiled myself. From my youth until now I have not eaten anything found dead or
mauled by wild beasts. No
unclean meat has ever entered my mouth.”
They shall cast their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be removed: their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the LORD: they shall not satisfy their souls, neither fill their
bowels: because it is the stumblingblock of their iniquity.
They will throw their silver into the streets, and their gold will seem
unclean. Their silver and gold cannot save them in the day of the wrath of the LORD. They cannot satisfy their appetites or fill their stomachs with wealth, for it became the
stumbling block that brought their iniquity.
As for the beauty of his ornament, he set it in majesty: but they made the images of their abominations and of their
detestable things therein: therefore have I set it far from them.
His beautiful ornaments they transformed into pride and used them to fashion their
vile images and
detestable idols. Therefore I will make these into something
unclean for them.
And I
polluted them in their own gifts, in that they caused to pass through the fire all that openeth the
womb, that I might make them
desolate, to the end that they might know that I am the LORD.
And I pronounced them
unclean through their gifts—the sacrifice of every
firstborn in the fire—so that I might
devastate them, in order that they would know that I am the LORD.
I will
disperse you among the nations and
scatter you throughout the lands; I will
purge your
uncleanness.
Her priests have
violated my law, and have
profaned mine holy things: they have put no difference between the holy and
profane, neither have they shewed difference between the
unclean and the clean, and have
hid their eyes from my sabbaths, and I am
profaned among them.
Her priests do violence to My law and
profane My holy things. They make no distinction between the holy and the common, and they fail to distinguish between the clean and the
unclean. They disregard My Sabbaths, so that I am
profaned among them.
Son of man, when the house of Israel dwelt in their own land, they
defiled it by their own way and by their doings: their way was before me as the
uncleanness of a removed woman.
“Son of man, when the people of Israel lived in their land, they
defiled it by their own ways and deeds. Their
behavior before Me was like the
uncleanness of a woman’s impurity.
I will also save you from all your uncleannesses: and I will call for the corn, and will increase it, and lay no famine upon you.
I will save you from all your
uncleanness. I will
summon the grain and make it
plentiful, and I will not bring famine upon you.
According to their
uncleanness and according to their transgressions have I done unto them, and
hid my face from them.
I dealt with them according to their
uncleanness and transgressions, and I
hid My face from them.
And they shall teach my people the difference between the holy and
profane, and cause them to
discern between the
unclean and the clean.
They are to teach My people the difference between the holy and the common, and show them how to
discern between the clean and the
unclean.
They shall not dwell in the LORD’S land; but Ephraim shall return to Egypt, and they shall eat unclean things in Assyria.
They will not remain in the land of the LORD; Ephraim will return to Egypt and eat unclean food in Assyria.
Then said
Haggai, If one that is
unclean by a dead body touch any of these, shall it be
unclean? And the priests answered and said, It shall be
unclean.
Then answered
Haggai, and said, So is this people, and so is this nation before me, saith the LORD; and so is every work of their hands; and that which they offer there is
unclean.
Then
Haggai replied, “So it is with this people and this nation before Me, declares the LORD, and so it is with every work of their hands; whatever they offer there is
defiled.
In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness.
“On that day a fountain will be opened to the house of David and the people of Jerusalem, to
cleanse them from sin and impurity.
And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will cut off the names of the idols out of the land, and they shall no more be remembered: and also I will cause the prophets and the unclean spirit to pass out of the land.
And on that day, declares the LORD of Hosts, I will
erase the names of the idols from the land, and they will no longer be remembered. I will also remove the prophets and the spirit of impurity from the land.
And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against
unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to
heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.
And calling His twelve disciples to Him, Jesus gave them authority over
unclean spirits, so that they could drive them out and
heal every disease and sickness.
When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.
When an
unclean spirit comes out of a man, it passes through
arid places seeking rest and does not find it.
Woe unto you,
scribes and
Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited
sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men’s bones, and of all
uncleanness.
Woe to you,
scribes and
Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like
whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside, but on the inside are full of dead men’s bones and every kind of impurity.
And there was in their
synagogue a man with an
unclean spirit; and he
cried out,
And when the
unclean spirit had
torn him, and
cried with a loud voice, he came out of him.
At this, the
unclean spirit threw the man into convulsions and came out with a loud
shriek.
And they were all
amazed,
insomuch that they questioned among themselves, saying, What thing is this? what new doctrine is this? for with authority commandeth he even the
unclean spirits, and they do obey him.
All the people were
amazed and began to ask one another, “What is this? A new teaching with authority! He commands even the
unclean spirits, and they obey Him!”
And
unclean spirits, when they saw him, fell down before him, and
cried, saying, Thou art the Son of God.
And when the
unclean spirits saw Him, they fell down before Him and
cried out, “You are the Son of God!”
Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit.
Jesus made this statement because they were saying, “He has an unclean spirit.”
And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,
As soon as Jesus got out of the boat, He was met by a man with an unclean spirit, who was coming from the tombs.
For he said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit.
For Jesus had already declared, “Come out of this man, you unclean spirit!”
And
forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the
unclean spirits went out, and entered into the
swine: and the
herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two thousand;) and were
choked in the sea.
He gave them permission, and the
unclean spirits came out and went into the pigs, and the
herd of about two thousand
rushed down the steep bank into the sea and
drowned in the water.
And he called unto him the twelve, and began to send them forth by two and two; and gave them power over unclean spirits;
Then Jesus called the Twelve to Him and began to send them out two by two, giving them authority over unclean spirits.
For a certain woman, whose young daughter had an unclean spirit, heard of him, and came and fell at his feet:
Instead, a woman whose little daughter had an unclean spirit soon heard about Jesus, and she came and fell at His feet.
When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he
rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, Thou
dumb and
deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him.
When Jesus saw that a crowd had come running, He
rebuked the
unclean spirit. “You
deaf and
mute spirit,” He said, “I command you to come out and never enter him again.”
And in the
synagogue there was a man, which had a spirit of an
unclean devil, and
cried out with a loud voice,
In the
synagogue there was a man possessed by the spirit of an
unclean demon. He
cried out in a loud voice,
And they were all
amazed, and spake among themselves, saying, What a word is this! for with authority and power he commandeth the
unclean spirits, and they come out.
All the people were overcome with
amazement and asked one another, “What is this message? With authority and power He commands the
unclean spirits, and they come out!”
And they that were
vexed with
unclean spirits: and they were
healed.
They had come to hear Him and to be
healed of their diseases, and those troubled by
unclean spirits were
healed.
(For he had commanded the
unclean spirit to come out of the man. For
oftentimes it had caught him: and he was kept bound with chains and in
fetters; and he
brake the bands, and was driven of the devil into the wilderness.)
For Jesus had commanded the
unclean spirit to come out of the man. Many times it had seized him, and though he was bound with chains and
shackles, he had broken the chains and been driven by the
demon into solitary places.
And as he was yet a coming, the devil threw him down, and
tare him. And Jesus
rebuked the
unclean spirit, and
healed the child, and delivered him again to his father.
Even while the boy was approaching, the
demon slammed him to the ground in a
convulsion. But Jesus
rebuked the
unclean spirit,
healed the boy, and gave him back to his father.
When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out.
When an
unclean spirit comes out of a man, it passes through
arid places seeking rest and does not find it. Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’
There came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick
folks, and them which were
vexed with
unclean spirits: and they were
healed every one.
Crowds also gathered from the towns around Jerusalem, bringing the sick and those
tormented by
unclean spirits, and all of them were
healed.
For
unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them: and many taken with
palsies, and that were
lame, were
healed.
With loud shrieks,
unclean spirits came out of many who were possessed, and many of the
paralyzed and
lame were
healed.
But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean.
“No, Lord!” Peter answered. “I have never eaten anything impure or unclean.”
And he said unto them, Ye know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a
Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but God hath shewed me that I should not call any man common or
unclean.
He said to them, “You know how unlawful it is for a
Jew to associate with a foreigner or visit him. But God has shown me that I should not call any man impure or
unclean.
But I said, Not so, Lord: for nothing common or unclean hath at any time entered into my mouth.
‘No, Lord,’ I said, ‘for nothing impure or unclean has ever entered my mouth.’
Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
Therefore God gave them over in the desires of their hearts to impurity for the dishonoring of their bodies with one another.
I speak after the manner of men because of the
infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to
uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto
holiness.
I am speaking in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh. Just as you used to offer the parts of your body in slavery to impurity and to escalating wickedness, so now offer them in slavery to righteousness leading to
holiness.
I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean.
I am
convinced and fully persuaded in the Lord Jesus that nothing is
unclean in itself. But if
anyone regards something as
unclean, then for him it is
unclean.
For the unbelieving husband is
sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is
sanctified by the husband: else were your children
unclean; but now are they holy.
For the unbelieving husband is
sanctified through his believing wife, and the unbelieving wife is
sanctified through her believing husband. Otherwise your children would be
unclean, but now they are holy.
Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
“Therefore come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you.”
I am afraid that when I come again, my God will humble me before you, and I will be
grieved over many who have
sinned earlier and have not
repented of their acts of impurity, sexual immorality, and
debauchery.
The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity, and
debauchery;
Having lost all sense of shame, they have given themselves over to
sensuality for the practice of every kind of impurity, with a
craving for more.
