Berean Standard Bible BSB Bible
The whole city shall
flee for the noise of the
horsemen and
bowmen; they shall go into thickets, and
climb up upon the rocks: every city shall be
forsaken, and not a man dwell therein.
Every city flees at the
sound of the
horseman and archer. They enter the thickets and
climb among the rocks. Every city is abandoned; no inhabitant is left.
O ye children of Benjamin, gather
yourselves to
flee out of the midst of Jerusalem, and blow the
trumpet in Tekoa, and set up a sign of fire in Beth-haccerem: for evil appeareth out of the north, and great destruction.
“Run for cover, O sons of Benjamin;
flee from Jerusalem!
Sound the ram’s horn in Tekoa; send up a signal over Beth-haccherem, for
disaster looms from the north, even great destruction.
I appointed
watchmen over you and said, ‘
Listen for the
sound of the ram’s horn.’ But they answered, ‘We will not
listen!’
Then will I cause to cease from the cities of Judah, and from the streets of Jerusalem, the voice of
mirth, and the voice of
gladness, the voice of the
bridegroom, and the voice of the
bride: for the land shall be
desolate.
I will remove from the cities of Judah and the streets of Jerusalem the
sounds of joy and
gladness and the voices of the
bride and
bridegroom, for the land will become a wasteland.”
The
snorting of his horses was heard from
Dan: the whole land
trembled at the
sound of the
neighing of his strong ones; for they are come, and have
devoured the land, and all that is in it; the city, and those that dwell therein.
The
snorting of enemy horses is heard from
Dan. At the
sound of the
neighing of mighty steeds, the whole land quakes. They come to
devour the land and everything in it, the city and all who dwell in it.
For a voice of
wailing is heard out of
Zion, How are we
spoiled! we are greatly confounded, because we have
forsaken the land, because our dwellings have cast us out.
For the
sound of
wailing is heard from
Zion: ‘How
devastated we are! How great is our shame! For we have abandoned the land because our dwellings have been
torn down.’”
Behold, the noise of the
bruit is come, and a great
commotion out of the north country, to make the cities of Judah
desolate, and a den of
dragons.
Listen! The
sound of a report is coming— a great
commotion from the land to the north. The cities of Judah will be made a
desolation, a
haunt for jackals.
For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will cause to cease out of this place in your eyes, and in your days, the voice of
mirth, and the voice of
gladness, the voice of the
bridegroom, and the voice of the
bride.
For this is what the LORD of Hosts, the God of Israel, says: I am going to remove from this place, before your very eyes and in your days, the
sounds of joy and
gladness, the voices of the
bride and
bridegroom.
Moreover I will take from them the voice of
mirth, and the voice of
gladness, the voice of the
bridegroom, and the voice of the
bride, the
sound of the millstones, and the light of the
candle.
Moreover, I will
banish from them the
sounds of joy and
gladness, the voices of the
bride and
bridegroom, the
sound of the millstones, and the light of the lamp.
And out of them shall proceed
thanksgiving and the voice of them that make
merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also
glorify them, and they shall not be small.
Thanksgiving will proceed from them, a
sound of
celebration. I will multiply them, and they will not be decreased; I will honor them, and they will not be
belittled.
The voice of joy, and the voice of
gladness, the voice of the
bridegroom, and the voice of the
bride, the voice of them that shall say, Praise the LORD of hosts: for the LORD is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: and of them that shall bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the LORD. For I will cause to return the captivity of the land, as at the first, saith the LORD.
the
sounds of joy and
gladness, the voices of the
bride and
bridegroom, and the voices of those bringing
thank offerings into the house of the LORD, saying: ‘Give
thanks to the LORD of Hosts, for the LORD is good; His loving devotion endures
forever.’ For I will restore the land from captivity as in former times, says the LORD.
Saying, No; but we will go into the land of Egypt, where we shall see no war, nor hear the
sound of the
trumpet, nor have hunger of bread; and there will we dwell:
and if you say, ‘No, but we will go to the land of Egypt and live there, where we will not see war or hear the sound of the ram’s horn or hunger for bread,’
At the noise of the stamping of the
hoofs of his strong horses, at the
rushing of his
chariots, and at the
rumbling of his wheels, the fathers shall not look back to their children for feebleness of hands;
Therefore mine heart shall
sound for Moab like pipes, and mine heart shall
sound like pipes for the men of Kir-heres: because the riches that he hath
gotten are perished.
Therefore My heart laments like a
flute for Moab; it laments like a
flute for the men of Kir-heres, because the wealth they acquired has perished.
Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will cause an
alarm of war to be heard in Rabbah of the
Ammonites; and it shall be a
desolate heap, and her daughters shall be burned with fire: then shall Israel be heir unto them that were his heirs, saith the LORD.
Therefore, behold, the days are coming, declares the LORD, when I will
sound the battle cry against Rabbah of the
Ammonites. It will become a
heap of ruins, and its villages will be burned. Then Israel will drive out their dispossessors, says the LORD.
The earth is moved at the noise of their fall, at the cry the noise thereof was heard in the Red sea.
At the
sound of their fall the earth will
quake; their cry will resound to the Red Sea.
A sound of battle is in the land, and of great destruction.
“The noise of battle is in the land— the noise of great destruction.
At the noise of the taking of Babylon the earth is moved, and the cry is heard among the nations.
At the
sound of Babylon’s capture the earth will
quake; a cry will be heard among the nations.
A sound of a cry cometh from Babylon, and great destruction from the land of the Chaldeans:
“The sound of a cry comes from Babylon, the sound of great destruction from the land of the Chaldeans!
And when they went, I heard the noise of their wings, like the noise of great waters, as the voice of the
Almighty, the voice of speech, as the noise of an host: when they stood, they let down their wings.
When the creatures moved, I heard the
sound of their wings like the
roar of many waters, like the voice of the
Almighty, like the
tumult of an army. When they stood still, they lowered their wings.
Then the spirit took me up, and I heard behind me a voice of a great
rushing, saying, Blessed be the glory of the LORD from his place.
Then the Spirit lifted me up, and I heard a great
rumbling sound behind me: ‘Blessed be the glory of the LORD in His dwelling place!’
I heard also the noise of the wings of the living creatures that touched one another, and the noise of the wheels over against them, and a noise of a great
rushing.
It was the
sound of the wings of the living creatures
brushing against one another and the
sound of the wheels beside them, a great
rumbling sound.
The morning is come unto thee, O thou that dwellest in the land: the time is come, the day of trouble is near, and not the sounding again of the mountains.
Doom has come to you, O inhabitants of the land. The time has come; the day is near; there is
panic on the mountains instead of shouts of joy.
And the
sound of the cherubims’ wings was heard even to the outer court, as the voice of the
Almighty God when he speaketh.
The
sound of the wings of the
cherubim could be heard as far as the outer court, like the voice of God
Almighty when He speaks.
And a voice of a multitude being at ease was with her: and with the men of the common sort were brought
Sabeans from the wilderness, which put bracelets upon their hands, and beautiful crowns upon their heads.
accompanied by the
sound of a carefree crowd. Drunkards were brought in from the desert along with men from the
rabble, who put bracelets on your wrists and beautiful crowns on your head.
And I will cause the noise of thy songs to cease; and the sound of thy harps shall be no more heard.
So I will silence the sound of your songs, and the music of your lyres will no longer be heard.
Thus saith the Lord GOD to Tyrus; Shall not the isles
shake at the
sound of thy fall, when the wounded cry, when the slaughter is made in the midst of thee?
This is what the Lord GOD says to Tyre: ‘Will not the coastlands
quake at the
sound of your
downfall, when the wounded
groan at the slaughter in your midst?
The suburbs shall
shake at the
sound of the cry of thy pilots.
I made the nations to
shake at the
sound of his fall, when I cast him down to
hell with them that descend into the pit: and all the trees of
Eden, the choice and best of
Lebanon, all that drink water, shall be comforted in the
nether parts of the earth.
I made the nations
quake at the
sound of its
downfall, when I cast it down to
Sheol with those who descend to the Pit. Then all the trees of
Eden, the choicest and best of
Lebanon, all the well-watered trees, were
consoled in the earth below.
Then
whosoever heareth the
sound of the
trumpet, and taketh not
warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head.
Then if
anyone hears the
sound of the horn but fails to
heed the
warning, and the sword comes and takes him away, his blood will be on his own head.
He heard the
sound of the
trumpet, and took not
warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh
warning shall deliver his soul.
Since he heard the
sound of the horn but failed to
heed the
warning, his blood will be on his own head. If he had
heeded the
warning, he would have saved his life.
As soon as you hear the
sound of the horn,
flute,
zither,
lyre,
harp, pipes, and all kinds of music, you must fall down and worship the golden statue that King
Nebuchadnezzar has set up.
Therefore at that time, when all the people heard the
sound of the
cornet,
flute,
harp,
sackbut,
psaltery, and all kinds of musick, all the people, the nations, and the languages, fell down and worshipped the golden image that
Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up.
Therefore, as soon as all the people heard the
sound of the horn,
flute,
zither,
lyre,
harp, and all kinds of music, the people of every nation and language would fall down and worship the golden statue that King
Nebuchadnezzar had set up.
Thou, O king, hast made a decree, that every man that shall hear the
sound of the
cornet,
flute,
harp,
sackbut,
psaltery, and
dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, shall fall down and worship the golden image:
You, O king, have issued a decree that
everyone who hears the
sound of the horn,
flute,
zither,
lyre,
harp, pipes, and all kinds of music must fall down and worship the golden statue,
Now if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the
sound of the
cornet,
flute,
harp,
sackbut,
psaltery, and
dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the image which I have made; well: but if ye worship not, ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning
fiery furnace; and who is that God that shall deliver you out of my hands?
Now, if you are ready, as soon as you hear the
sound of the horn,
flute,
zither,
lyre,
harp, pipes, and all kinds of music, you must fall down and worship the statue I have made. But if you refuse to worship, you will be thrown at once into the
blazing fiery furnace. Then what god will be able to deliver you from my hands?”
His body also was like the
beryl, and his face as the appearance of
lightning, and his eyes as lamps of fire, and his arms and his feet like in colour to polished brass, and the voice of his words like the voice of a multitude.
His body was like
beryl, his face like the brilliance of
lightning, his eyes like flaming torches, his arms and legs like the
gleam of polished bronze, and his voice like the
sound of a multitude.
Yet heard I the voice of his words: and when I heard the voice of his words, then was I in a deep sleep on my face, and my face toward the ground.
I heard the
sound of his words, and as I
listened, I fell into a deep sleep, with my face to the ground.
Blow ye the
trumpet in
Zion, and
sound an
alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land
tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is
nigh at hand;
Blow the ram’s horn in
Zion;
sound the
alarm on My holy mountain! Let all who dwell in the land
tremble, for the Day of the LORD is coming; indeed, it is near—
Like the noise of
chariots on the tops of mountains shall they
leap, like the noise of a flame of fire that devoureth the
stubble, as a strong people set in battle
array.
But I will send a fire upon Moab, and it shall
devour the palaces of Kirioth: and Moab shall die with
tumult, with
shouting, and with the
sound of the
trumpet:
So I will send fire against Moab to
consume the citadels of Kerioth. Moab will die in
tumult, amid war
cries and the
sound of the ram’s horn.
Shall a
trumpet be
blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
If a ram’s horn
sounds in a city, do the people not
tremble? If
calamity comes to a city, has not the LORD caused it?
That
chant to the
sound of the
viol, and
invent to themselves instruments of musick, like David;
The LORD’S voice crieth unto the city, and the man of wisdom shall see thy name: hear ye the rod, and who hath appointed it.
The voice of the LORD calls out to the city (and it is
sound wisdom to fear Your name): “
Heed the rod and the One who ordained it.
When I heard, my
belly trembled; my lips
quivered at the voice:
rottenness entered into my bones, and I
trembled in myself, that I might rest in the day of trouble: when he cometh up unto the people, he will
invade them with his troops.
I heard and
trembled within; my lips
quivered at the
sound. Decay entered my bones; I
trembled where I stood. Yet I must wait patiently for the day of distress to come upon the people who
invade us.
And flocks shall lie down in the midst of her, all the beasts of the nations: both the
cormorant and the
bittern shall
lodge in the upper lintels of it; their voice shall sing in the windows;
desolation shall be in the thresholds: for he shall uncover the
cedar work.
These are the things that ye shall do; Speak ye every man the truth to his neighbour;
execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates:
These are the things you must do: Speak truth to one another, render true and sound judgments in your gates,
And the LORD shall be seen over them, and his
arrow shall go forth as the
lightning: and the LORD GOD shall blow the
trumpet, and shall go with whirlwinds of the south.
Then the LORD will appear over them, and His
arrow will go forth like
lightning. The Lord GOD will
sound the ram’s horn and advance in the whirlwinds of the south.
Therefore when thou doest thine
alms, do not
sound a
trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men.
Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
So when you give to the
needy, do not
sound a
trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by men. Truly I tell you, they already have their full reward.
And he shall send his angels with a great
sound of a
trumpet, and they shall gather together his
elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
And He will send out His angels with a loud
trumpet call, and they will gather His
elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.
And he said unto him, Thy brother is come; and thy father hath killed the
fatted calf, because he hath received him safe and
sound.
‘Your brother has returned,’ he said, ‘and your father has killed the
fattened calf, because he has him back safe and
sound.’
The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the
sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and
whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
The wind blows where it wishes. You hear its
sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with
everyone born of the Spirit.”
And suddenly there came a
sound from heaven as of a
rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
Suddenly a
sound like a mighty
rushing wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting.
Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.
And when this
sound rang out, a crowd came together in
bewilderment, because each one heard them speaking his own language.
And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know:
yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect
soundness in the presence of you all.
By faith in the name of Jesus, this man whom you see and know has been made strong. It is Jesus’ name and the faith that comes through Him that has given him this complete
healing in your presence.
And there sat in a window a certain young man named Eutychus, being fallen into a deep sleep: and as Paul was long preaching, he sunk down with sleep, and fell down from the third
loft, and was taken up dead.
And a certain young man named Eutychus, seated in the window, was sinking into a deep sleep as Paul talked on and on. When he was
sound asleep, he fell from the third story and was
picked up dead.
And sounded, and found it twenty fathoms: and when they had gone a little further, they sounded again, and found it fifteen fathoms.
They took
soundings and found that the water was twenty fathoms deep. Going a little farther, they took another set of
soundings that read fifteen fathoms.
But I say, Have they not heard?
Yes verily, their
sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world.
But I ask, did they not hear? Indeed they did: “Their voice has gone out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world.”
Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as
sounding brass, or a
tinkling cymbal.
If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a ringing
gong or a
clanging cymbal.
And even things without life giving
sound, whether pipe or
harp, except they give a distinction in the
sounds, how shall it be known what is piped or
harped?
Even in the case of lifeless instruments, such as the
flute or
harp, how will
anyone recognize the
tune they are playing unless the notes are distinct?
For if the
trumpet give an uncertain
sound, who shall prepare himself to the battle?
Again, if the
trumpet sounds a
muffled call, who will prepare for battle?
In a moment, in the
twinkling of an eye, at the last
trump: for the
trumpet shall
sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
in an instant, in the
twinkling of an eye, at the last
trumpet. For the
trumpet will
sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.
For whether we be beside ourselves, it is to God: or whether we be
sober, it is for your cause.
If we are out of our mind, it is for God; if we are of sound mind, it is for you.
For from you
sounded out the word of the Lord not only in
Macedonia and
Achaia, but also in every place your faith to God-ward is spread abroad; so that we need not to speak any thing.
For not only did the message of the Lord ring out from you to
Macedonia and
Achaia, but your faith in God has gone out to every place, so that we have no need to say anything more.
For whoremongers, for them that
defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for
perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to
sound doctrine;
for the sexually immoral, for homosexuals, for slave traders and liars and perjurers, and for
anyone else who is
averse to
sound teaching
If thou put the brethren in
remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ,
nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine,
whereunto thou hast attained.
By pointing out these things to the brothers, you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus,
nourished by the words of faith and
sound instruction that you have followed.
If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to
wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to
godliness;
If
anyone teaches another doctrine and disagrees with the
sound words of our Lord Jesus Christ and with godly teaching,
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.
Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.
Hold on to the pattern of sound teaching you have heard from me, with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.
For the time will come when they will not
endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they
heap to themselves teachers, having
itching ears;
For the time will come when men will not
tolerate sound doctrine, but with
itching ears they will gather around themselves teachers to suit their own desires.
Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by
sound doctrine both to
exhort and to
convince the gainsayers.
He must hold firmly to the faithful word as it was taught, so that he can
encourage others by
sound teaching and
refute those who
contradict it.
This witness is true. Wherefore
rebuke them sharply, that they may be
sound in the faith;
This testimony is true. Therefore
rebuke them sternly, so that they will be
sound in the faith
But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine:
But as for you, speak the things that are consistent with sound doctrine.
That the aged men be
sober, grave, temperate,
sound in faith, in charity, in
patience.
Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be
ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you.
and
wholesome speech that is above reproach, so that
anyone who opposes us will be
ashamed, having nothing bad to say about us.
And the
sound of a
trumpet, and the voice of words; which voice they that heard intreated that the word should not be spoken to them any more:
to a
trumpet blast or to a voice that made its hearers
beg that no further word be spoken.
And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.
His feet were like polished bronze refined in a furnace, and His voice was like the
roar of many waters.
And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a
penny, and three measures of barley for a
penny; and see thou
hurt not the oil and the wine.
And I heard what
sounded like a voice from among the four living creatures, saying, “A
quart of wheat for a
denarius, and three quarts of barley for a
denarius, and do not
harm the oil and wine.”
And the seven angels which had the seven
trumpets prepared themselves to
sound.
And the seven angels with the seven
trumpets prepared to
sound them.
The first angel
sounded, and there followed
hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.
Then the first angel
sounded his
trumpet, and
hail and fire mixed with blood were
hurled down upon the earth. A third of the earth was burned up, along with a third of the trees and all the green grass.
And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood;
Then the second angel
sounded his
trumpet, and something like a great mountain burning with fire was thrown into the sea. A third of the sea turned to blood,
And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters;
Then the third angel
sounded his
trumpet, and a great star burning like a
torch fell from heaven and landed on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water.
And the fourth angel
sounded, and the third part of the sun was
smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was
darkened, and the day
shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise.
Then the fourth angel
sounded his
trumpet, and a third of the sun and moon and stars were struck. A third of the stars were
darkened, a third of the day was without light, and a third of the night as well.
And I
beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice,
Woe,
woe,
woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the
trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to
sound!
And as I observed, I heard an eagle flying overhead, calling in a loud voice, “
Woe!
Woe!
Woe to those who dwell on the earth, because of the
trumpet blasts about to be
sounded by the remaining three angels!”
And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit.
Then the fifth angel
sounded his
trumpet, and I saw a star that had fallen from heaven to earth, and it was given the key to the pit of the
Abyss.
And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and the
sound of their wings was as the
sound of
chariots of many horses running to battle.
They also had thoraxes like breastplates of iron, and the
sound of their wings was like the
roar of many horses and
chariots rushing into battle.
And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God,
Then the sixth angel
sounded his
trumpet, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar before God
And
cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roareth: and when he had
cried, seven thunders uttered their voices.
Then he
cried out in a loud voice like the
roar of a lion. And when he
cried out, the seven thunders
sounded their voices.
But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to
sound, the
mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.
But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he is about to
sound his
trumpet, the
mystery of God will be fulfilled, just as He proclaimed to His servants the prophets.”
And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.
Then the seventh angel
sounded his
trumpet, and loud voices called out in heaven: “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ, and He will reign
forever and ever.”
And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great
thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers
harping with their harps:
And I heard a
sound from heaven like the
roar of many waters and the loud
rumbling of
thunder. And the
sound I heard was like harpists
strumming their harps.
And the voice of harpers, and musicians, and of pipers, and trumpeters, shall be heard no more at all in thee; and no
craftsman, of
whatsoever craft he be, shall be found any more in thee; and the
sound of a
millstone shall be heard no more at all in thee;
And the
sound of harpists and musicians, of
flute players and trumpeters, will never ring out in you again. Nor will any
craftsmen of any trade be found in you again, nor the
sound of a
millstone be heard in you again.
And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying,
Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God:
After this I heard a
sound like the
roar of a great multitude in heaven,
shouting: “
Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God!
And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying,
Alleluia: for the Lord God
omnipotent reigneth.
And all the people
sounded trumpets, and
shouted with a loud voice, singing songs of
thanksgiving unto the Lord for the rearing up of the house of the Lord.
Insomuch that the
trumpets might not be heard for the
weeping of the people: yet the multitude
sounded marvellously, so that it was heard
afar off.
So he answered and said unto me, Stand up upon thy feet, and hear a mighty sounding voice.
And it happened, that when I had heard it I stood up upon my feet, and
hearkened, and, behold, there was a voice that spake, and the
sound of it was like the
sound of many waters.
And the
trumpet shall give a
sound, which when every man heareth, they shall be suddenly afraid.
